Bethune Court has welcomed my mum into their care facility. Mum has been there a short time but in that time the difference in her is remarkable. At her home she didn't eat, was depressed and lonely. At Bethune Court she is eating three meals a day and joining in with the activities.

I can go back to being mums daughter rather than her carer.

Our Mum was in respite care for 2 weeks to give my Dad a rest. My mum was well looked after and cared for. My sister and I visited Bethune Court beforehand as it was highly recommended to me by a couple of different people. When we visited we were shown around the different rooms available. It was very clean and every floor had a lounge for residents to sit in if they wanted and there were daily activities. My mum was in when it was her birthday and they provided a cake and sang to her. Also Elvis popped in and sang and danced with her and everyone else. ALL the staff were amazing and our Mum will be visiting again soon.

Mum stayed at Bethune court for a couple of weeks respite just before Christmas. All the carers were kind ,considerate and supportive.
As Mum was struggling to look after herself despite everything we tried, we encouraged her to stay and make this her home. The transition to go from her own home to a care facility was hard but I can't thank the staff enough for making this as easy as possible and giving mum and me so much support. It made such a difference.
Mum has settled in well , she loves the company, the activities and having her meals with others.
We feel so blessed to have found the right place at the right time for mum.

Thank you to all the staff, especially Ann and Michaela for making the move as smooth as possible and for all their support. P

My mother has been a resident at Bethune Court for 4 years. Since she has arrived she has had excellent care . The staff are lovely and many are still working there four years on. My mother's needs are met on a daily basis. She is always clean and dressed in appropriate clothing .. even down to colour coordinating. The residence is always clean and tidy .whenever you visit
The whole team working there are friendly and always available to discuss matters good or bad in person or over the phone .

I would recommend Bethune Court to anyone considering moving into a residential care home .

Our mum arrived at Bethune Court in February 2025, after a 20 week spell in hospital. Whilst in hospital, Mum had food, medication and was basically left either in bed or on her chair. She was not thriving at all! (Very little interaction!) When Mum arrived at the home, everything changed, and even though it was very difficult for her to adapt at first, through the patience, kindness and 100% support of all the staff here, we feel we have got our mum back!!

She is thriving and happy (even if she does not show it!!) xxx

My Dad moved into Bethune as a permanent resident back in October 2024. He was living independently beforehand but had a fall and so more care was needed.

We have been very impressed with the staff at Bethune. They work extremely hard to accomodate over 40 residents all with different needs.

They are kind and compassionate and take time to solve any worries that my Dad has had since his admission.
The room is spacious and kept clean and my dad is free to come and go as he pleases within reason so he still feels independent to a point. The meals always look good and the kitchen staff work hard to look after everyone's requirements which is no mean feat!
The daily entertainment is varied and there is always something to join in with
The office staff have been amazing. They follow up any queries quickly and efficiently and always have a smile!

We feel so much relief knowing that when we leave Dad after visiting him that he is in very safe hands.

The first month of my mum's stay at Bethune Court has been a rollercoaster of emotions for her and the family. The staff at Bethune Court have helped to smooth this transition and cannot be praised enough. Nothing is too much trouble for them as they continue to put my mum's needs at the top of their agenda. Their door is always open and they are keen to offer advice and a smile. The home itself is clean, fresh and welcoming and I would not hesitate in recommending it for your loved one.

We are very pleased with the care Mum has received since moving to Bethune Court. Having previously been very independent, she initially found it difficult to adjust to living in a care home but with the support of all the kind and patient staff, she has slowly but surely started to settle. She enjoys taking part in some of the many and varied activities on offer. Unfortunately, Mum has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and the staff are doing everything they can to support both Mum and us, as a family, on this journey.

What started out as a trial respite has turned into a permanent stay as I have had a health problem diagnosed. I couldn't be happier with Bethune Court. Mum has settled in so well, she loves the food and is making friends. She has gone from being at home, feeling isolated to chatty and cheerful. From the very first visit, we've been made welcome and the communication has been great. Thank you to all concerned for making the transition so smooth.
