The staff have been incredibly kind, caring, and compassionate, and from the very beginning they have made us feel completely at ease. We have no doubt at all that we have chosen the right place, as the level of care and attention given is consistently reassuring. Communication has been excellent throughout; we are always kept well informed about everything and any questions we have are answered promptly and clearly. Knowing that Herbert is in such capable and considerate hands gives us great peace of mind, and we genuinely could not ask for more.
It is incredibly rewarding to know that our care, compassion, and communication have helped put you at ease. Providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment...

Thank you so much for your kind words. Were delighted to hear that your sister is happy, comfortable, and well-settled with us at Derwent. Our team takes great pride in treating everyone with respect and care, and its wonderful to know that this is making a positive difference for her. Your feedback means a lot to us.
The staff are wonderful, always cheerful, upbeat, and genuinely accommodating. The admin and management team are highly professional, and I've never once felt I made the wrong decision placing my dad here. It's been a reassuring and positive experience throughout.

Our team takes great pride in providing a supportive, cheerful, and professional environment, so your feedback is very important to...
My wife has been living at Derwent for nearly 5 weeks, and I am extremely pleased with the staff and the environment. Everyone is helpful and caring, and the house (or two houses in one!) and grounds are very pleasant. Also, her room is lovely, and I am very relieved that Derwent is now my wife's home. My only criticism is that so far, I haven't been aware of much in the way of activities there. Overall, I would rather give 5 stars than 4 but perhaps 4 and a half would be more accurate. Value for money is a difficult thing to assess for a layperson, but compared to other residential homes, I would say Derwent is good value for money.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your thoughts and observations about Derwent. Your feedback is truly appreciated and helpful.

My mother has been a resident here for the past two years, and although she is progressing with her dementia, the care home manager and his staff have been very understanding and caring both with my mum and us as a family, always keeping us updated on what's going on. I know she is well looked after here
It's truly wonderful to hear that your Mum is receiving such excellent care in our care home. It sounds like the team are providing not only for her needs but also offering invaluable support and communication to you and your loved one. Knowing she is well looked after must bring you a great deal of comfort and peace of mind during this challenging time. Many thanks again for your lovely feedback.
The staff are caring, patient and supportive both to mum and myself. Easy to talk to and I feel they listen or take on board any concerns. The one issue can be food, but mum has complained less lately. Mum is always clean and appears well cared for and any health issues are dealt with promptly. Lovely family atmosphere but more activities would be good.
Dear family ,We are so pleased to read your positive feedback regarding our staff's care and support for both you and your mum. It's wonderful to know you feel comfortable talking to us and that your concerns are taken seriously. We're glad to hear she's been happier with the food lately. We are...
Right from the very day my mother entered the care home, the staff have been amazing. Nothing is to much trouble. The facilities are excellent and spotless. Whilst she suffers with her memory she is always talking to at least one member of staff and getting about with her zimmer. Our small family have just celebrated her 90th at the care home and we were even allowed to bring in my daughter's new cocker spaniel puppy, which put a big smile on my mother face. I can't thank them enough for making her life bearable.
It's truly heart-warming to hear that your mum is being so well cared for and that she's happy with our performance. The dedication and compassion she has shown are invaluable. I'm thrilled to know that she had a beautiful 90th celebration surrounded by family. I hope we can all come together to...
Good caring/friendly care staff, all get on well with my mum, and provide her a good family atmosphere. Clean environment, good food and a nice spacious room. Helpful and understanding management team. I feel my mum is being looked after well, following her move to Derwent in November 2024. After the initial move and some initial confusion on her part, she now appears to have settled and is accepting of the new environment

My mum absolutely loves it here. She has been here couple of years now and has made couple of friends. She is finally safe. The staff are amazing and friendly and so helpful. Only thing I would recommend is more activities. Staff always go above and beyond to he caring and kind and helpful.

We will continue to do our utmost to provide the best care and support for your Mum, ensuring her quality of life is maintained and that she is happy and enjoys her time with us.
We moved my mother to Derwent Residential Care Home and the staff and management helped us through what was a difficult transition. They were kind, honest and professional and treated us as family, and my mother with care and dignity at a very stressful time. Sadly my mother died only 3 weeks after she arrived at Derwent but in those 3 weeks, she was well looked after.
Thank you for your thoughtful review. I am truly glad that we were able to meet all of your mum's needs during her time with us. She is fondly remembered, and her spirit will always hold a special place in our hearts. May she rest in peace and be blessed.
I cannot recommend this place any more the staff are amazing my Nan was looked after and loved by all staff they made her feel like family. I visited every day they always welcomed me in and answered any questions I had, the manager is such a lovely man he went above and beyond to make nans last days as comfortable as possible. I will always remember all the staff and will always be in their debt for how amazing and caring they all are, thank you again and I will still pop in and see you all and say hello to the residents who I also became close to,
We are incredibly grateful for the time you took to share your experiences and feedback. Your reviews help us understand what we are doing well and where we can improve. Your kind words and constructive comments are invaluable to us and we are committed to continuously enhancing our services to...
I cannot fault the care at Derwent. My mum loves all the staff and it’s a very safe environment. They are all exceptionally good at what they do and have plenty of care and understanding for my mum who is nonverbal. My only negatives are that mum sometimes doesn’t get up until 11 am and has her breakfast then and about an hour later will have her lunch. The only other downfall is they do not have enough activities at present, but there is a new manager who hopefully will bring this in place. Very impressed with the communications by the new manager to us as a family to keep us updated at all times.

Ever since I have been a resident my care has been second to none. The management and staff are so caring and nothing is ever too much trouble and always ready to listen to you if you need them. I would thoroughly recommend this home to anyone without question.

From the first time of seeing the home we were put at ease, the home is lovely and clean, no smells and the staff are lovely. Very spacious and well set out. The kitchen is lovely and clean and the meals smell lovely. We saw two homes before Derwent and they were disgusting. I can actually sleep at night knowing they are in good hands.
