New Elmcroft

On a day to day basis, the manager and the team have been great and are always so caring and professional. Thank you for making the day special for her during these strange times.

My sister-in-law was transferred to Elmcroft from a stroke unit. The stroke had left her with the loss of some memory and unable to find correct words. Communication with her was not easy. Although 86 she had been extremely independent and resented any reliance on others. This meant that she could be rather difficult on occasions. The staff were always kind to her and very supportive. I think she was most fortunate to be transferred to New Elmcroft for her initial rehabilitation. Our thanks to you all.

Even though hard to see Mum every opportunity has been made to inform me and my family of every situation.

The home is always clean and staff always friendly, although at the moment we are visiting in the garden due to Covid. We are always welcomed and the visit is done very safely and social measures kept. My nan seems happy here and always looks nice and clean and dignity kept. Thanks to all the staff at Elmcroft.

During such a hard time with COVID-19, the staff put on an amazing celebration for my Grandmothers 107th birthday. There was a link to the party via face time and they shared the pictures with us straight away. It's such a hard time not to be able to visit and we have had to rely on these amazing staff to provide even more of the time, love and care they give to everyone. Thank You.

Walking into New Elmcroft, almost feels like walking into Mum's own home, as it is so welcoming and feels good. Mum is being looked after very well and wonderful staff help her to Skype the family, which is wonderful throughout this coronavirus crisis. She always looks well and is neatly dressed.

Light and bright modern accommodation. All staff friendly and welcoming and very respectful that this is the residents' home. I am very happy with the care given to my mum. They all understand her and her good and sometimes very difficult ways. Activities personnel are always on hand for a chat and provide a very good service, including everybody around their individual needs.

My mum has severe dementia and has lived at Elmcroft since 2017. As my brother and I got to know the staff, we began to appreciate how much they care and go the extra mile for the residents. I'm very glad mum ended up at this care home and can't fault the staff at all. Our mum is extremely happy and we are happy that she is safe and properly cared for.

My mother is a long-term resident at New Elmcroft Care Home. She has always been well cared for and very much loved by the team of carers. During the Covid-19 epidemic, they have been extremely conscientious in keeping the home clean, safe and arranging contact via Skype. The staff are always very welcoming.

My aunt was a resident; on the 10th February she celebrated her 100th birthday in the home, the home was so welcoming, staff went above and beyond to make her day special; sadly she has since passed away but the memory of day was made so very special for all who attended.

Great place, nice people. I am happy my nan is there.

I visited my friend recently and I had a nice welcome from all staff very impressed with the place. The manager spent time to take me around. My friend mentioned how he is engaged in activities, socialising with other residents and outings. My very good friend said he is well looked after and enjoys the varieties of meals. I highly recommend the home to anybody wishing a safe place to be looked after.

Best care home in town, I visited my friend who now lives permanently in New Elmcroft care home. I was so happy for him and felt so overwhelmed seeing him well looked after by professional carers and the Manager is so lovely and caring, she is even a chef on weekends, hats off to the team at New Elmcroft. I highly recommend this home for respite or for a long stay, you will never be disappointed, the environment and staff are so welcoming. Thank you so much for all your help to the community.

The home seems to keep the usual excellent record. We do stay a long time when we visit and can see how it is run efficiently with no rushing and the staff always give a lovely welcome and always say hello. I have no worries about my husband being in New Elmcroft. As I always say, it comes from the manager and the staff who need a huge appraisal for all their hard work.

The management, resident carers and nurses are all kind to me and nothing is too much trouble for them, should I need help. I would highly recommend New Elmcroft and enjoy my short stays there.

We found all the staff to be caring and professional at all times and couldn't ask for a better placement for my mother's end of life care. And for us as visitors, we were always made to feel welcome.

The home is so light and airy. The staff are fantastic, really caring, really looking after my mum going through this really rough time of life, they really treat her with kindness. I would highly recommend Elmcroft to everyone.

Second to none service throughout. All of the staff have a very positive attitude and only have the best interests of the residents at heart. Will constantly go above and beyond. I know my father is in the very best of hands. Would thoroughly recommend.
