Excelcare Glennfield Care Home

The professionalism, super care and all the kindness shown to him have been second to none and we know there's nowhere he would have been happier, or better cared for. All staff from stepping through the main door are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The support for patients and families is amazing, we saw from day one that my dad was in very safe hands and were, as a family, given support. The last days of my dad's long life were comfortable and brightened by all the people involved in his care and we thank them all.

My mother came to stay at Glennfield for respite care. The team were very welcoming, caring and compassionate towards her and her care needs. I couldn’t have asked for a more caring team to look after my mother.

I am so grateful to Glennfield management and staff on the Bluebell ward for caring for my father in the last few weeks of his life. They understood his particular needs and their care and attention were beyond my expectations. I could live each day knowing he was in safe hands. The respect shown to him at the end was extremely kind and thoughtful. Thank you.

My mum came to Glennfield Care Home in January 2023 and since that day it’s changed our lives, Mum's and us, her family. Mum previously spent six months in a care home which didn’t meet her needs. Since coming to Glennfields the change in Mum is clear to see, she’s happy and settled and her health has improved in so many ways. All the staff are welcoming and the care they give is amazing and we would like to say a big thank you for looking after Mum and the peace of mind it gives us. Thank you.

My nan has been with Glennfield Care Home for about a year and she was really happy, she made loads of friends. The staff are really friendly and made Nan's last moments peaceful. Nothing was ever too much for them to do, they went above and beyond their duty of care. If anyone is thinking about putting their loved ones into Glennfield, believe me, their final years will certainly be good ones. Keep up the good work guys.

Best decision we made, I feel so much better coming away now knowing Mum is being looked after and the kids love visiting Nanny as well.

My father-in-law has been living in Glennfield since 2017. When he was more active, he loved to join in the events, and we loved the pictures supplied by the home. He liked to use the hair salon and the garden seats. However, his dementia has slowly advanced and he has moved through the units with this progression, he is 'end of life' now but all the way through this 6-year journey Glennfield have kept him healthy, safe, and always treated as an individual with dignity and respect.

The staff and nurses are amazingly kind and helpful, I can't think of a better place for an unwell family member to live. Dementia is a 24/7 disease, I believe that the best, safest, kindest place for a beloved family member is in the safe 24/7 care of trained, experienced, dedicated staff.

We are very grateful to Glennfield for their continuing care.

I want you all to know how grateful we are for the amazing level of care you provide for Dad. He has been with you for so many years now that you have essentially become family to him and in all those years we have never had a moment's doubt that you care for him as if he is, indeed, a part of your family. So thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for all you do in your care of Dad. It really is so very appreciated.

The staff at Glennfield Care Home are amazing, especially on Bluebell they have an amazing team who always appear to work so well together and nothing is ever too much trouble for them, they are fabulous, and they always have a lovely smile and treat my mum so kindly and look after her as best as they can under the circumstances they have to face, it's so nice to know she's in safe hands with them. Mum doesn't tend to go to many of the activities (which is the polar opposite to what she would've been like pre-dementia) but when she does there is always a nice photo on social media and she looks to be enjoying herself, thank you to whoever goes to the effort of putting all the pics and activities on social media, you do a great job too. Thank you again.

Fabulous care home. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The care staff are lovely and so caring. The staff all seem to work together and get along. I would highly recommend this home. It is lovely, clean and feels welcoming.

The level of care, kindness and friendship Mum received at Glennfield during the two years and two months she lived there was second to none. The staff really knew her and ensured all her needs were met. She was always treated with respect and dignity. The staff supported both Mum and the family throughout difficult times. We cannot thank the staff enough for the excellent kindness and care they gave to Mum throughout her time at Glennfield Care Home.

You may think ticking excellent for every box is a bit over the top, however, compared to the three previous homes my husband has stayed in, Glennfield exceeds in every aspect of his care. At last, I finally have total peace of mind and that means so much to me.

My friend moved into Glennfield Care Home recently and she has settled in already. It was a move we were wary of due to how difficult it was for her last time, but Glennfield has been wonderful and has such impressive knowledge regarding dementia. Thank you to you all.

A lovely clean home with very polite, caring, and attentive staff. Excellent facilities for the residents. Delicious meals. Lots of activities for the residents. Rooms are of a good size and well furnished.

From the moment Mum went in I could see the professionalism throughout the nursing home, with every member of staff always treating Mum with respect and consideration. From a family view, when visiting nothing was too much trouble. I can never thank you enough for how you cared for Mum and us during the late stages of her life. Your expertise made a traumatic time so much easier. Thank you.
