Located in a peaceful residential area, Glennfield is a purpose-built care home in the historic market town of Wisbech, near the royal estate of Sandringham in Norfolk.

A dedicated and experienced team provides respite and long-term care, including residential, dementia, nursing, nursing dementia, and end-of-life care. The compassionate team takes time to understand each individual’s life story, aspirations, and preferences, ensuring a truly person-centred approach to care, wellbeing, activities, and meals.

Glennfield offers a warm and engaging environment, fostering a strong sense of belonging. A Lifestyle Coordinator works with residents and their families to provide a variety of enriching opportunities, allowing individuals to participate as much as they wish.

The home is divided into six care suites, each featuring bright, stylish dining and living areas, creating a comfortable and social setting. Every suite includes a self-contained kitchenette, enabling the people who live at the home to prepare their own breakfast or snacks, while visitors are always welcome.

At the heart of the home is a vibrant coffee shop, a popular social hub hosting activities such as card games and knitting groups. It is also a welcoming space for residents to meet with family over coffee and homemade cake. Special bar events, organised in partnership with Elgoods Brewery, are always well attended and enjoyed.

My mother has lived at Glennfield for a long while now and the family and I couldn’t be happier with the care my mum receives. The staff feel like our family and treat my mother like their family. They are all so wonderful.

I have been so pleased with everything since my father moved into Glennfield. The manager was so very helpful with the whole process and explained every step to us. The care has been excellent, and I am relieved that my father is safe there.

We didn’t want to have to choose a care home for Grandad but had to because of Nan’s health at the time. It turned out to be the best thing we could’ve ever done. He is much more settled at Glennfield than he was at home. He’s calmer and very content. Thank you so much to the amazing staff at the care

My husband came into the care of Glennfield in a very poor state of health. Sad to say I thought I was going to lose him but with the magnificent care of everyone nursing him he has pulled through. He is now taking an interest in life and making conversation but not only do they take care of my husband,
they care for my family and myself. I’m so glad we found this home they saved my husband’s life. Thank you all.

My dad was discharged from the hospital to Glennfield in March 2021. A member of staff who was not on duty the day my dad became a resident commenced their shift and initially thought he was there for terminal care and was shocked to find he wasn’t. He has now been a resident for seven months and I
have been absolutely astounded at the improvement in him. He has gone from being completely bed-bound, with very limited communication and an extensive ulcer, to now being able to, with help, sit out in a chair for short periods of time. The ulcer has all but healed and when we visit he chats, plays board games and laughs. Thank you to everyone caring for him. I now have my dad back and although I know he will never be “better” I know that he is safe and extremely well cared for by a team for who nothing is too much trouble.

Had the heartbreaking decision for my mum to move into a care home so her needs could be met.
Moved into Glennfield on Wednesday this week so early days yet.
Cannot thank all the staff enough. They are brilliant.

My mother is so happy at Glennfield Care Home. She stayed at another care home for a short stay prior to being at Glennfield and she has never been as happy and well looked after as she is now. The staff are so very kind and the care is excellent.

I was so worried about my dad going into a care home and the staff here were absolutely amazing with my dad, and amazing with us too. They are so warm and caring and nothing is too much trouble. It’s been difficult during the pandemic not seeing my dad as much as we did, but the staff have kept us informed
of everything.

Outstanding care home. We never knew such love and warmth could be given to our son outside of the family home. But it exists at Glennfields. Staff always professional and confident in their care and gave us enormous confidence and peace of mind that our son was being well looked after and cared for,
even in challenging circumstances. Over the 5 and a half years our son was a resident, we could only praise and be astounded at the quality of care. We felt so close to many members of staff and they became, in a way, part of our family too... showing only warmth and kindness to us at all times. Nothing was too much trouble and all our concerns or worries were sympathetically and efficiently dealt with. We will never be able to thank them enough, but we do from the bottom of our hearts for their superb, excellent and outstanding care of our dearly beloved eldest son who sadly died on 17th August 2020, peacefully, calmly and with dignity. Fabulous care home.

Jan

Jan Davison

Job Title: Home Manager

Jan’s journey in the healthcare sector began straight after leaving school, driven by a deep passion for helping others. She started as a Dental Nurse, gaining experience in both NHS and private practices, before discovering her true calling in health and social care. Beginning as a carer, she quickly progressed into management, always striving to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.


Throughout her career, Jan has taken on a variety of roles, working in care homes, community care, extra care, and housing. She has also shared her knowledge by delivering training and supporting teams across the country as a regional manager.


Although she took a short break to explore the hospitality industry, her heart has always been in care—a field where her dedication and compassion continue to shine.

Sarah

Sarah Bull

Job Title: Care Manager Joined: 2008

Sarah became the Care Manager at Glennfield Care Centre in 2008 and has many years’ experience of working in the care home environment.
Sarah has an NVQ 4 in Care Management, an intermediate certificate in Health and Safety and has undertaken many workshops in various care related subjects.
Sarah is responsible for the running of the home in the absence of the Manager.

Nicoleta Bunting

Job Title: Clinical Lead

Nicoleta qualified as a Nurse in Romania in 1997. She worked in different healthcare settings, from hospitals to community care and lots of other places in between.


She moved over to the UK to continue her nursing career in 2014 and has been working at Glennfield Care Home ever since. Now as the Clinical Lead, Nicoleta strives to ensure Glennfield Care Home continues to be a safe, happy place where people live a fulfilled life.
