I visited my friend who had only been a resident for a few days. He had really settled in in a short time and the staff were attentive and friendly. More importantly, he was happy and very satisfied.

As soon as you walk into York House it feels like home. Friendly caring staff. Clean and bright. Excellent activities to suit all. Good homecooked varied meals. Very relaxing atmosphere. Garden and a lovely outside seating area.

My Mother-in-law has settled in fantastically well, having relocated to Dereham. From the moment I walked into York House I instantly felt it was a very homely, caring and friendly environment. The Management and staff have made her and the family extremely welcome. The care, respect and professionalism
that all staff and management give to the residents and their families is outstanding. The home is always clean and fresh and food is delicious and made on the premises, with a variety of choices. It is nice to see that there are many drinks stations around the home, constantly being refilled with a very good selection of drinks, residents can also help themselves.
They had a summer Mexican-themed party today, with decorations (some made by residents), BBQ, buffet, music. It was brilliant and residents could stay inside or venture outside. Family were encouraged to come along and the hospitality was fantastic. Thank you so much for all of your help!

My father initially came to York House for respite, he was met with management and other staff who made him feel welcomed as were family members. Lots of smiles and laughter around the home. Excellent management and staff who show the utmost respect and professionalism. The home has a variety of activities
which are displayed on a weekly basis. The home is clean, food is freshly made on the premises and residents can have drinks on request and are also able to help themselves. Thank you to all the staff for making Dad feel special and giving the utmost care.

My friend appears to be settling in well during her initial two weeks of residence.
I find the place to be clean with staff on hand to help as needed.

My father went for a respite period where the care and dedicated staff always with a smile and conversation looked after him exceptionally well, he was very happy throughout his stay. Any small problem they dealt with swiftly and no fuss keeping contact with relatives throughout which took away any

My dad has respite care and enjoyed his three-night stay. He was made to feel special from the moment he walked through the door to when he left. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The meals were excellent and lots of activities, so much so, that he is going back to stay in July.

I’m writing to highlight the excellent care my late father received as a resident at York House, Dereham. My father passed away on the 31st of February He had been a resident at York House for eighteen months. My brother and I spent most of the last week with him and saw the amazing professional and
respectful care he received. The manager and her team organised very promptly everything to ensure he was as comfortable as possible. I would also like to mention the night staff they again were excellent with their care and attention. The staff also couldn’t do enough to ensure we were both okay by providing us with endless drinks and food. During my father’s stay, there was very good communication between staff and ourselves and any suggestions about my father’s care were actioned promptly. On one occasion we suggested that the door to my father's en-suite be turned around to possibly make access for his walker. We would recommend York House to other families.

Always find our visits extremely friendly and staff very friendly.
There is always something going on to occupy the residents keeping them engaged. Drinks are always on hand and everything seems very flexible rather than regimented.

Every visit we are made very welcome and every member of staff greets us with a friendly smile. Mum is looked after very well and as a visitor I have never heard her or indeed other residents making a genuine complaint. As Mum has been a resident since October 2022, I think this is remarkable. Well

I visit my friend weekly at York House and am always greeted with smiles and friendliness from all staff. They are all so helpful. The house is always clean and tidy. I always get offered a cup of tea and made to feel at home. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The home gives a feeling of professionalism
but also feels so homely. I always look forward to visiting.

As usual, I received a warm welcome from the staff and found my mother-in-law happily seated in the resident's lounge. Coffee was provided for me and my husband by a very courteous member of staff. I dropped some items in my mother-in-law's room which was clean and fresh as I've come to expect. Would

Always greeted with a smile from all staff. The home is clean, bright and very pleasantly decorated. Lots of activities for residents to do or watch/listen. Quality of care is exemplary. Our resident is not always the easiest to care for/keep happy, but the staff never give up!
