Excellent experience. My mum was so well looked after, I couldn’t have asked for more. I wasn’t worried about her at all as I knew she was in excellent hands.
All staff were so welcoming, friendly, and couldn’t do enough for Mum.

My mum spent the last six weeks of her life under the tender care of the team a York House. I have no hesitation in recommending it as somewhere that provides individualised, kind care and a homely atmosphere. I was very well looked after following a cancer operation. I needed to spend a short period of recuperation prior to returning home. York House was able to fulfil this role admirably, and in many ways, exceeded my expectations. The staff were attentive, friendly, and in a number of instances, extremely
helpful, particularly in relation to the stoma I had acquired as part of the cancer treatment.
Prices were well in line with what I had expected, and the facilities more than adequate. Overall my impressions were of a well-run home with an excellent team of carers ready to assist.

Dad has been to respite care at York House twice now. All staff are very friendly and helpful and extremely caring to Dad; he has enjoyed the activities and the meals. York House is very clean, and he has a lovely room. Certainly no complaints with the level of service provided by all staff at York
House. Thank you for all your kindness and care in looking after Dad. I am sure he will be back again soon.

Beautiful home. Warm, caring staff who have the resident's best interests in mind. Very helpful and efficient. Every time I go (weekly), I'm always greeted with a smile. Finding the right place to care for your loved one is a big decision. I felt comfortable as soon as I visited York House and met the people there. The staff are all friendly and great at their jobs; they make an effort to know the residents, as well as meeting their care needs. No doubt the pandemic
has provided lots of challenges, but I have always found York House well-staffed and my dad well cared for. Thank you!

York House is wonderful; they looked after my mum with dignity and respect. On the day my mum passed away, we were with her, and all the staff on duty that day made sure we were ok as well, bringing us ice cream, coffee and biscuits etc; they are all simply the best.

I have not seen my mother for some time, due to COVID restrictions, but in the last month, I have been able to see her three times. I have noticed she has deteriorated quite a bit. The last time I saw her was on Tuesday 6th April, when I found her incoherent which was quite upsetting. I only went in
as far as the designated room but all the checks were done very satisfactorily. I’ve always found the staff very happy and helpful.

Mum has received good respite care when it was most needed. Unfortunately, coronavirus has limited the activities offered which Mum enjoyed. The staff have been most accommodating and respectful. Would recommend.

Very friendly staff.
Disappointed that the food standard has gone down and not heard any details of how they intend to bring it up to a 5-star rating as it was when we chose the home for our mum. We wish that they would do more with the outside space for residents and tidy up the grounds. Not a very
