Malden House

Dad could not look after Mum any longer. Malden House and their caring and friendly staff give Mum the care that she needs. The place is clean and tidy and we are very happy that Mum is there.

I am consistently impressed by the high level of care and courtesy shown to my mother and myself. She is shown a lot of respect and consideration and the variation in activities is staggering. They are frequent, of high quality and also topical. The property (although ageing gracefully like my mother) is kept in very good condition and is always spotless. Well done to the team.

Tea, coffee and cake were brought up to her room in a friendly manner and the staff member glanced around and noticed something out of place and dealt with it. Spoke again to a staff member on leaving for advice. Felt reassured and pleased.

My father-in-law is a new resident but has settled very well and is happy to be there at this time in his life.

I visit to bring communion to a resident who is a member of my church. I am always made very welcome and enjoy coming.

My mother is registered blind (can only see blurred shapes through a tunnel) and naturally this move to a new "home" has been frightening and harrowing for her and a worrying time for her family. Because of this, the management, staff and carers have and are doing their utmost to help Mum adjust and to have her feel safe and secure and bring about a feeling of wellbeing and happiness. They also believe in constant open lines of communication with the relatives, which is so reassuring.

I like the various places to sit and talk with my friend, conservatory, dining room, her room, the garden.

I couldn't be happier with how well my grandmother is being looked after. She is extremely well cared for in every aspect. Knowing that she is so well looked after has given my whole family peace of mind. I am very appreciative of the personal care my grandmother has received.

First impressions of Malden House was like a cosy, welcoming house. It is good to see the residents mix in well and the carers are all pleasant and attentive to their needs. Also, I appreciate the fact the relatives are always welcome to share meals and activities etc. On the whole, I am very pleased that this home was one of my choices.

I have been so pleased with the warmth of care from all the care workers at the home. My mother in law has been a resident at Malden House for over two years and has settled so well. It is such a caring environment that she felt at home almost immediately and has found a new spirit of life, all credit to the extreme attention to the care needs of all residents. Such a good residents 'home'.

I only have immense praise for all the staff at Malden House; my mother is so happy there and she feels loved and cherished, never patronised. The home is kept very clean and comfortable and every effort is made to make the residents feel that they are in their own home with the benefit of having other people to converse and have fun with as well as knowing their well-being is being totally taken care of. I have total admiration and trust for and in them. Thank you so very much.

Malden House is a homely, welcoming, dementia home. The staff are friendly caring and courteous. The home did need a freshen up as it was looking tired but recently the new paint and blinds have brightened up the home.

Staff are very good and helpful. They have helped the relative back to a happy person. Much better than when she moved in.
