Ridge House Care Home

Owing to the fact that mum deserves to have the highest standard of care, Ridge House is mum's 4th care home. How I wish I had discovered this gem earlier. The manager runs this home beautifully and all her team bar none speak highly of her. The staff are all caring, warm and professional. I can rest easy that mum is being cared for properly and for the first time in her 8 years of being in residential care, I would not hesitate to go on holiday.

Even mum's plants are looked after and her calendar is turned at the beginning of each month. Her room is spotless and tidy. Mum's meals are all homemade, beautifully presented and she is even asked what she would like for tea.

We feel comfortable visiting mum and are always made to feel welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed - just like being at home.

Ridge House gives a sense of confidence and assurance in all aspects of the provision of a "home" at a time of uncertainty and inevitable concern for new and evolving needs. Mum is sensitively provided for both in her practical day to day living and in ensuring she is a part of the small community that is her home.

My mother has been looked after so well by the amazing staff, and the owners, since she arrived three years ago. She has thrived at Ridge House with their fantastic care, and fantastic food, which she always comments on!

This is a small home, very well staffed and the genuine love and care given to the residents is wonderful. My Mother is very happy there and praises the food and carers. Ridge House is very well managed and the manager and owners do everything they can, to make it a real home for their residents.

Family run, 14 residents. Staff are friendly and always cheerful. Food is prepared on-site from locally sourced ingredients, and my mother says it's very good. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and there are beautiful views over the Devon countryside. We visited a dozen local homes when we were looking for somewhere two years ago, and this was far and away the best we saw.

At a very difficult time for all concerned it was with a huge sense of relief when we paid Ridge House two visits whilst searching for a suitable home for my mother. The care and attention the manager and owners paid to both us and my mother were second to none. The home is beautifully calm and set in gorgeous surroundings. The rooms were so light and clean and welcoming as were the staff we met and the residents. I cannot fault it and know my mother will settle in very well indeed. I am extremely grateful to the manager and her team for their dedication and professionalism.

This care home gives a warm welcome to residents and visitors. The staff are excellent. Care, attention to details, helpfulness are all very good. I would like to be a resident there if a time came.
