Overall Experience
Despite Vale Lodge being a 'Residential' Home it is dementia friendly. My Aunt went into this home with early stages of dementia which accelerated due to illness. At no stage did the staff at the home suggest her being moved (which would have caused her distress), once her care requirements included nursing. The district nurse came in on a daily basis and the staff were brilliant. They retained her dignity, were always upbeat and sensitive and unfailingly attentive to her needs. When she was well enough, there were weekly visits to local landmarks in the home's mini bus which she adored.

I cannot recommend Vale Lodge more and should I ever need a home in the future, this would be the one for me.

Overall Experience
Mum had a long stay in hospital and we were told we could choose a home for her aftercare - after numerous visits to other establishments & great upset , we arrived at Vale Lodge , met Sherree and knew immediately it was right for Mum.
Mum has been in The Lodge since October 2014 . She is not 'in a home' she is part of a family.
She enjoys the singing and the trips out when she is well enough and The staff are excellent & genuinely caring . The home cooked food is excellent & plentiful.
We are a large family and mum is visited most days so we know that everything is genuine and mum is safe & very well cared for.

I would highly recommend Vale Lodge.
