The staff at the Malthouse Residential Home are amazing showing care and kindness and nothing was too much trouble. Having end-of-life care was valuable to our family and the staff provided it with dignity at all times. Considering the poor state of the building the staff provided a service second to

My mother has been in the Malthouse for 7 years. Many of the staff on the ground are lovely but sadly it is clear, that they are not always happy. When my mother entered the home it was privately run and there was notable investment back into the home and nice touches. It is now much more 'transactional'
and fees have increased massively with no investment into facilities or modernisation and the management team is rarely visible. The nice touches have been lost. It is very difficult to take the decision to move a resident when they have dementia and very confused and a move would be distressing to them.
The care is good and they are responsive when my mother has a fall or needs help.

My mother has made The Malthouse Residential Home her home for the last 8 years and has been very happy. The staff are caring, professional and supportive. My mother always enjoys the excellent food. When social services started to try to evict my mother as her money ran out The Malthouse staff were
excellent with their support to keep her in her chosen home. My mother has to change rooms and likes her new room. Unfortunately, the room in the attic has very poor bathroom facilities and a sloping roof which really makes nursing difficult. The room could only be accessed by a stair chair. The sloping windows always covered in bird droppings. Not a pretty view for a bedridden person.

I was called by The Malthouse in July to say my mum had been assessed 'incontinence' as her pads should be on the next delivery. Rang up two weeks later saying Mum had run out of pads as she has not been assessed. Her TV was not working in August - reported it. Went back four days later and still, no
TV working. Luckily, the chef came and sorted it. No one could help me regarding the monthly fee cost. I had to ring the head office.

My father has been a resident at The Malthouse for over a year. The staff at the Malthouse are fantastic and create a caring and respectful environment where my father feels content and well looked after. At the age of 85, having been a life-long complainer about quality of service, he only has praise
for the service provided by The Malthouse. This speaks volumes about this care home! He enjoys the space, the food and the hospitality of the staff. The infrastructure is good - spacious, clean, bright and accessible. My own experience of this home is also very good. There is an excellent personal rapport between me as a family member and the management and care teams. There is always a positive, friendly atmosphere when I visit. I truly feel that the whole team care deeply about the best interests of the residents and their families. Thank you to the whole team for being so active and engaged and caring so much.

My mother has been at The Malthouse for the past seventeen months and is settled and very well cared for. She has very good relationships with all the staff, who are always cheerful, and helpful and really do their utmost to enhance mum's quality of life. There is an open, friendly and homely atmosphere
on visiting. It feels to be a very nurturing environment. There is always a full program of interesting activities. The staff are always willing to help when I take Mum out. We, as a family, are very happy that mum is living at The Malthouse.

The love, respect, patience and care that The Malthouse Residential Home showed both my Grandmother and myself during her short stay were nothing short of outstanding. Moving my Grandmother into a care home towards the end of her life was a hard decision but was the best decision we ever made. The staff

My mother arrived at The Malthouse in a poor state direct from hospital in Norwich in September 2016. I was working in the area at the time so it made sense for her to be near me. She had, until late August 2016, been living on her own with carers coming to her house in Norfolk four times a day for
half an hour each visit. She spent the remaining five and a half years of her life at The Malthouse, receiving excellent care from the wonderful staff throughout. She died comfortably in her sleep in mid-March 2022, 3 months short of her 97th birthday. I never imagined that she would survive for this long. I never heard her complain about anything and she had nothing but good words to say about everyone at the home.

The malthouse cared for my father for over three years. Throughout that time and despite covid restrictions, the staff/carers were compassionate, professional and always friendly and welcoming. They really did provide a 'home', and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.

The care that my mum received over the time she lived at the Malthouse was faultless. She was treated with compassion, dignity, and loving care. I was also made to feel very welcome and time was given to answer any questions I had. Her end-of-life care was amazing too, she passed peacefully, pain-free,
