I visit regularly and all the staff are always welcoming and helpful. There are lots of activities and we are kept up to date on all the news from Talbot Lodge. There are family afternoons with entertainment and food provided. Overall, Talbot has a lovely atmosphere.
Our son moved to this care home after living 30 years previously in an excellent care home. We were apprehensive on how he would settle. The staff were excellent and the management was very efficient with the administration. He has settled really well and seems very happy. He is nonverbal, so is unable to say how he feels. He is involved in lots of activities which he enjoys. We are happy with his new placement.
TWL is a wonderful home, my son has been living there for many years and is very happy there. His food, health and well-being are very well catered for. The managers and staff are all very kind and caring and inform me if there are any problems with his health or appointments. The home has a large garden and patio where have outside activities, also there are minibuses for trips out in the community and more activities.
I am very happy with the care provided by Talbot Woods Lodge for my relative and appreciate all the hard work that they do.
My son is very happy and very well looked after at this home. He is able to take part in many activities that are offered. I am always made to feel very welcome. He is secure there and always happy to go back after a home visit. The staff are always happy to help sort out any problems and are very respectful to him and to me. They seem to have lots of fun too!
Talbot Woods Lodge is managed very well and residents' welfare is priority. I would highly recommend the care home.
My sister is happy and well cared for. We last visited her on 30th November 2023. We found the staff helpful and communicative. The care is taken to provide stimulating activities. She is blind, has a Specific Learning Disorder and has epilepsy so she requires a high level of care which I believe she is receiving
Helpful staff, keep me informed of my daughter's activity and schedule - routine. The kind manner of the staff, good rapport. My daughter is happy. Safe and secure environment.
My son has been at Talbot Woods Lodge since March 1997 and has had excellent care and still does. When the virus lockdown happened the owners and staff made sure that the residents were safe. At last, access has returned and I can see my son weekly.
This care home is run very well, and my sister seems very happy there. I have never had to complain about anything. They do a lot of activities with the residents too.
I am very satisfied with the help and support my daughter receives at Talbot Woods Lodge. They go to great lengths to ensure she is well-stimulated and comfortable at all times. She is very happy there.
A very nice home-from-home with very caring staff.
My son has only been here for a short period so far but has made great progress. All staff and management have helped him to have a smooth and happy transition here. We are always made to feel very welcome when we visit, and are always kept up to date with how he is getting on, and shown photos of activities he has participated in. Staff are lovely and are always interacting with the service users. The whole place has a lovely homely feel. My son is treated with respect and we are happy knowing he is safe and having a fulfilling life.
Excellent care and attention to the residents and family at all times. There are so many activities organised for the residents. Outings, walks and discos for them.
Talbot Woods Lodge is an excellent facility, and they support my sister exceptionally well.
Very happy with the care and attention our son has received. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
Our son and all the residents of Talbot Woods Lodge have been very well cared for by the very dedicated, caring and understanding managers and staff who have kept residents safe and happy in these very difficult times of 2020.
Very experienced and helpful. Always available to discuss issues. Professional and polite. Attentive to my brother's needs.
I am happy living at Talbot Woods Lodge. I often say "no" to going out but would benefit from being given an option of one venue or another venue, so I don't have the chance to say "no". It would be good for me to have more choices in daycare rather than relying on games/puzzles etc that mum has bought in for me.
We enjoy our visits and made welcome. Always very clean.
