Northfields take care of my mother of 92 who had dementia and health issues. I have always found Northfields full of happy smiles, excellent nurses who always give the best service and communicate fully with all issues that has come up while my mum stays with then. As they say always the residents and security are their top priority. Thank you to all the staff.
Her stay at Northfields care home has been successful. She seems very settled. The manager and the rest of the staff have all been amazing and we can't thank them enough. Sheis now going home to see how she copes with her personal environment.
From the time I phoned to enquire about a place for my husband I was made to feel that the care of my husband mattered. This was reinforced when my husband arrived from hospital having suffered neglect, and he was made to feel wanted and cared for. This has continued by both the management team and all the staff, you feel listened to and my husband cared for.
Thank you so much for your review. We are so pleased that since moving in your husband has felt wanted and well cared for, and that you feel listened to. We make every effort to care for all our residents as we would a member of our own family!
Both girls have done so much to make my mum comfortable and looked after.
I can't recommend Northfield House enough.
Thank you so much for your very kind and positive review! We are so delighted that Mum has settled in well and you are so happy with the welcome and care the staff and both managers have been giving her. This will be passed on and of course very much appreciated!
My mother has had seven days respite at Northfield and I can only say how caring and welcoming they were. Having been in nursing for many many years and now a full-time carer for my mother with Alzheimer's I was very pleased with the level of care and support she was given. The atmosphere was friendly, and welcoming,as well as giving me a break which I so desperately needed, will be very happy to send her there again next time knowing that she will be well looked after. Again thank you all staff at Northfield House for a good experience, great care quality and atmosphere, and a lovely room.
Thank you so much for your kindness and positive review. We are so delighted that you were so happy with everything at Northfield House and that you were able to relax and get a much-needed break! We look forward to hopefully welcoming Mum again in the not-too-distant future.
Thank you for the professional care given to my mother aged 95 who died on the 1st of June 2024. We were fully able to be with her in the comfort of her room in her care home. She was given respect, dignity and the full attention of well-qualified staff members throughout this experience. As a family, we were welcomed to be with Mother for 24 hours through day and night until she passed away and then she was taken out with respect and dignity.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so pleased that you felt the care your mother and family received, in particular during such a sensitive occasion, assisted in enabling you and your mum to have the support and comfort you needed during this sensitive time.
They provide lots of entertainment and activities for all to enjoy.
Mum was well looked after and cared for with compassion and respect in the 3.5 years she was there.
Thank you so much for your very kind review. We are so delighted you were so happy and this will definitely be passed on to all the team! We really loved having Mum as part of our Northfield family.
It’s like home from home you can’t get anything better than this, all employees are a credit to all residents they are always doing something and always go the extra mile to make all happy. The assistant manager has always been helpful and deals with issues my mum does have, what a credit she is to this horrible disease.
Thank you so much for your review. We are really delighted to see that you are so happy, the staff will very much appreciate this!
My experience of Northfield House is that of a very calm and caring home for all the residents. The staff I have met have all been lovely and genuinely care for everyone they look after. I'm very impressed and extremely grateful that my mother is happy at Northfield House.

I can not praise the staff enough for all they have done for me and my mum.
It is really nice to see my mum back to her normal self taking part in activities.
So caring for her welfare.

Having a loved one with dementia can be difficult for all concerned. Northfield House and staff continue to make this easier for families like mine.
The staff really care for your loved one, they’re always pro-active and communicate well.
I trust them to be there, putting Mum’s interests first.
Thank you very much for your kind review. We are delighted that you feel that the staff at Northfield really care, putting Mum's interests first and helping make the journey you are on together as a family easier.
Staff very friendly and good. Once again, communication could be improved with fortnightly updates. Activities are good, but might be nice to take them out to socialise.
Thank you very much for your review, the staff will be very pleased to see you are happy with them! With regard to communication, we have taken this on board and our manager will be in contact shortly to discuss this with you. In the meantime please do check out our social media page as you will...
My uncle has been a resident for now five years I think and with not being able to get there very often I know he is in safe hands with the staff there. I have never had a problem when I visit and my uncle is always happy and well looked after. I am always informed of what’s going on regards to my uncle via emails. The staff were amazing during the Covid crisis so thank you for that!
Thank you so much for your kind review, we appreciate this very much and are so pleased you feel your uncle is in safe hands. Also, your recognition of how amazing the staff team were during Covid.
My mum recently spent 2 months at Northfield House prior to moving Counties to live closer to me. I cannot thank enough the superb staff team who made Mum feel so welcome and gave her so much love and gentle care. Mum's well-being was a priority and, seeing how she experienced genuine kindness, gentle protection and loving supervision, I was reassured and happy to leave her in their expert care. Living some distance away, I felt fully supported and informed by the management of every necessary detail of Mum's life there. As well as the wonderful care of her physical health, the importance of keeping Mum mentally stimulated was equally focussed on. From nail varnishing to assisted dancing, from St George's Day banners to singing along with the guitarist, and from gentle exercises to a Coronation party, life at Northfield was full of love, care, fun and enjoyment. Heartfelt thanks to each and every one of your amazing staff.
We very much appreciate your kind and comprehensive review and are delighted that you were so happy. It also means a lot to all the staff at Northfield that you felt all of Mum's needs were being fully met during her transition period with us.
The staff were excellent. Dad was well looked after. Although the activities suffered after the loss of the activities coordinator, the staff do the best they can.
Thank you for your kind comments about the staff and that you felt your dad was so well looked after!
I have only been able to visit in screened off conservatory due to covid. Have been to visit a few times but not been able to see mum's room but she seems very happy. Staff are always friendly and helpful. When mum first went she was in isolation for two weeks and they found out she like watching birds so they let her have the budgerigar in her room which was a lovely touch.
We are so pleased that mum has settled well, she enjoys the singing and entertainment and has started to make new friends!
Northfield House has been my mum's home for the last year and I can honestly say that I am so pleased and grateful for all the care and love she has received from all the staff. This home is not a 'for profit' business, it is a warm, friendly, compassionate home with family at its soul. Mum has been in the care system for 8 years and I so wish she had come to Northfields from the start. It was because her old nursing home was closing that she came here and I am so glad she did. Nothing is too much bother for the lovely staff and they will go over and beyond to be helpful. The home has worked so hard to keep the residents safe during covid, never wavering away from their safety measures and sticking to their guns, good on them. When I visit Mum I have to wear all the PPE that is provided and rightly so. Even if you have had your jab you can still carry it. My mum is so happy and stress free, which she wasn't at her last place, that I can leave her knowing she is in the best hands ever.
It is a pleasure to take care of your mum and for her to be part of our family, and delighted that you are so happy!
Mum was warmly welcomed to Northfield when home care became unsustainable. She settled very quickly and has been very well cared for by the Manager and her team. Despite the difficulties of the present situation, they have all been cheerful and caring throughout her time with them. We have been unable to visit inside, but during window visits, Mum has always been content and well looked after and appears to have a good relationship with her carers. Mum's dietary needs have been catered for, and she appears to enjoy her food. Thank you all for your kindness; keep up the good work!
Your thanks will be very much appreciated by the staff team!
I think we fell upon a right gem when we found Northfield House, and I can't compliment the carers/staff enough for all their hard work and the love they show to each and every resident.
The house is always spotlessly clean, and the meals look really appetising.
I would recommend this place to anyone without a doubt.
Thank you very much for your review. We are so glad you are happy. The staff team have all been working exceptionally hard and will very much appreciate this recognition.
