The staff are always very warm and welcoming. You always feel supported and they are kind to my stepdad even when he's very grumpy. He enjoys his meals and even when he has hospital appointments he always gets warm meals. My stepdad has settled and seems really happy in the home, so much so he said
he would rather stay in the home for Xmas than come to ours for Christmas dinner.

We have been extremely happy with the care provided for my mother who has dementia. There are so many activities provided and all the residents seem very happy. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.

Very happy with level of care, staff are fantastic, activities are arranged daily with singers etc visiting. Food seems to be good and varied. Mom is certainly very happy.

Both my parents have dementia and mobility issues so we reluctantly had to make the decision for them to go into care. First impressions of Willow Grange were positive but this rapidly changed after both parents having falls. Staff were dismissive of the incidents and also called my dad 'nasty' when
resisting being washed. This comment really upset me and made me realise that they do not understand dementia and how it affects behaviour. I never spoke to, saw or met the home manager which I thought was strange.
I felt a nuisance having to keep asking for basic care to be given such as washing and shaving. Twice my dad was sitting in a pool of milk at his feet and we had to ask for it to be mopped up when staff were sitting around on their mobile phones. We also witnessed other residents almost having falls while staff were oblivious to this whilst on their phones.
They need to improve communication with families and management need to be more aware of what is going on around them.

All staff are trained in dementia and have a vast knowledge of their needs. In regards to the comment of staff being on mobile phones, these are the devices that are used in the care home to document accurately. The milk referral is in reference to the fortified milkshake that is provided mid morning. The resident in question would have a tendency to spill the milkshake when he had enough on to the floor. This would be cleared up by a domestic staff in timely manner. The manager is onsite every weekday and some weekends and is available on request. At no time a meeting was requested to discuss any concerns as this would have been dealt with. The gentleman transferred to a new care provider to be with his wife and that the care provided by the home the family were happy with. We apologise if any upset was caused and we would still be happy to meet with the family. We stand by we provide excellent care to all residents.

We very soon had concerns following our parents' admission to the home. Unfortunately, both of them had falls. Mum's resulting in a fractured femur and hospital admission and dad's in a head injury and trip to A and E. Although we accept that falls in care homes do happen, we felt whenever we tried
to speak to whoever was in charge about these incidents, they were evasive, defensive, and dismissive. We never met the actual registered manager during any of our visits, and we never received any communication from her following these incidents which was disappointing, and, we feel, unprofessional. Care staff there need to be managed more effectively as they seemed to be more interested in their mobile phones than seeing to the needs of the residents. Due to our lack of confidence in the home, we have moved our parents elsewhere.

In my experience this home is very good for dementia, they keep them busy and entertained and regularly take them out on visits to Stratford Upon Avon and meals out. The home is very clean. Mom has settled well and is very happy. The staff are very nice and easy to talk too.
