My mother has been resident here since the start of the year. She settled in really quickly and was made to feel at home. The last few months have coincided with the COVID crisis so I have not been able to visit her. I have spoken to her regularly on the phone. She still seems fine although much more confused. I have been extremely impressed with the way Dulas handled the crisis. They locked down very early and as far as I know, have had no cases. They have responded proactively whenever I have contacted them with concerns. I should say these were concerns about my mother’s health rather than about the home. The problem which the lockdown creates is the lack of activities for residents but in the circumstances this is unavoidable and I believe the home are doing as much as they can in this extraordinarily difficult time.
Size of rooms with encouragement to bring own things
Space of home and grounds
Cleanliness
Friendliness of staff
Menus
Welcoming to visitors at any time
The impression that your love ones are going to be looked after and happy
Activities for the residents to keep them alert.
There are other pluses but I feel these are the most important.
I am so grateful for all the care and understanding she received and for how we, her family, felt very supported by knowing that she was well looked after.
Huge thanks to all the staff at Dulas Court for looking after her so well and for being with her at the end.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. It was a pleasure to care for your mum who we miss very much. We were so pleased that she settled and enjoyed her time with us.
I actively recommend this Home whenever I can. It is that good and the two staff I have dealt with have been brilliant with my Mum accompanying her to Hospital when needed and helping her deal with the loss of my Father who very sadly passed away in the Home in June 2019. I can't thank the owner and staff who should be so proud of what they have created here!
Thank you so much for your kind words, it means a lot to read reviews like this. I will pass it on to the team , Thank you .
I can’t speak highly enough of their commitment to their residents and they seem to have a genuine concern for their wellbeing.
I believe my mother is in the best possible care situation for her and am very happy to thoroughly recommend Dulas Court to anyone who may be looking for a care home.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review, I will pass on your kind words to the team. Thank you.
My mother-in-law is a resident and she's been living at Dulas for almost two years. The carers are excellent, the management are very present and the carers willingly follow their lead and learn new skills. They are all so kind and happy. The activities team is absolutely brilliant and helped my wife and I celebrate our wedding beautifully, surrounded by friends at Dulas.
Thank you for completing the review card. It was lovely for your mother in law and the home to be part of your wedding celebrations.
Residents were clapping and smiling.
Delightful to observe.
My family have had to change plans for my mum's care a few times and we are beyond grateful for how professionally and kindly Dulas as a whole, has responded.
Thank you so much for this lovely review. I will pass the feedback back to the team.
The staff at Dulas Court provided a very pleasant morning of celebration to make the occasion of the wedding of the daughter of a friend who is a resident.
My friend came to Dulas Court for respite and loved it from the moment she arrived. She went home but was then asked if she wanted to go back to Dulas Court, she had her care package before the sentence was completed. She feels the peacefulness of the trees, the love and care of the staff and has a new lease of life. I can go at any time to see her and am always welcomed by friendly, caring staff. They enjoy so many activities which are varied. I would recommend Dulas Court to anyone, myself included!!
Excellent care. Fab staff.
A lovely happy home for the resident with caring and helpful staff. My friend has settled well, enjoys the company and peaceful setting with lovely views from her windows. She also likes to take part in the various activities offered. Thank you very much.
I have a high opinion of the staff who always greet me with great courtesy and show kindness and a caring attitude to their patients, who seem happy and content always in my presence.
My mother has been a resident for 7 months and I cannot praise Dulas Court enough. The care is superb and my mother with increasing dementia is always treated with dignity and kindness. She is always clean and dressed nicely and whenever we visit she is often included in an activity. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful to us too.
The only negative is that whilst on certain days of the week, the food is excellent, on other days it can be very poor. The food on the odd days can be bland, tasteless and difficult to eat as meat is tough and difficult to chew. It's such a shame the food, on occasion is an issue and therefore wasted.
Overall we have been delighted with Mum's care at Dulas Court. Mum made the move from living independently to Dulas, so it was a big move all the way from East Anglia. The lovely staff have supported her, made her feel welcome and given her a high standard of round the clock care. The home is well appointed and offers a good variety of spaces to meet and relax. The food is varied, interesting and generally of good quality and she enjoys the daily activities.
I am happy with everything. I like my room. The carers are nice.
No complaints at all. Her care and needs are well taken care of. Cannot pass comments on activities as she is unable to leave her room.
I visit five times a week and treat the place as a cafe. I am always made welcome. The care my sister has is excellent and I have full confidence in the home. Although my sister chooses not to participate, there is always entertainment and activities for the residents which they all enjoy. Dulas provides a warm and friendly atmosphere at all times.
I visit every now and then. The staff are always with the residents, doing reading, crosswords, etc. even at the weekends, trying very hard to keep their minds active.
