The Avenue Care Home is a very friendly, clean and caring home. The staff are all helpful and willing to please, nothing is too much trouble. We can relax knowing our brother is happy and well cared for. The home takes care of all the doctor's appointments and help that is needed. Thank you.

My brother has attended The Avenue Care Home for a few years now. It's a lovely care home. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, my brother really enjoys going, he seems quite content. They have a variety of intering activities for thos who wish to take part. The home is very clean and I would recommend
it to anyone as it is a lovely and secure environment.

I find visiting my sister every week or two a regular pleasure. The staff are friendly, happy and always kind and helpful to the residents.
My sister is fit and thriving after being there over ten years. She loves her own room with its fresh attractive curtains and duvet. I am pleased it is the best
home for freedom, friendship and activities if wanted, for my sister.

When my friend was allocated to The Avenue Care Home nearly a year ago I was reluctant to believe he would accept this situation. However, the perseverance of the staff has surpassed my expectations. Thanks to this and a regular routine, he is better than I have seen him for some time. Also, there is
a lot of stimulation in different forms, with activities both inside the home and visits externally e.g. Cafe's, pubs, book fair etc which he enjoys. The home also actively encourages family/friends to visit, phone calls, correspondence, time out for residents. When I visit my friend I am always offered a friendly welcome and a cuppa- tea/coffee, also a private place to chat if needed.

When my daughter was accepted at the hoe she was thin and depressed after an illness. Within a few weeks, she showed dramatic improvement. After her father died recently we both received caring sympathy and support. My daughter is being encouraged and supported to return to some activities in the community
and her special dietary requirements are implemented both efficiently and sensitively. All her lesser health needs have been carefully met. There is a happy atmosphere at the home to which every member of staff contributes and the two owners take an active part in running the home alongside the manager. Visitors are always welcome I am deeply grateful that my daughter is once again busy, happy and secure.

My sister has settled happily into this care home and speaks positively about her time there and the staff. From a relative's point of view, I am always made welcome and offered a cup of tea. The staff and management are friendly and approachable. The premises are well looked after and the furnishings
are excellent. Very happy.

My brother has been at The Avenue Care Home for about a year, during which time, I have seen a big improvement in both his mental and physical health, his appearance, cleanliness and self-confidence. This is due to the care that he has been receiving at The Avenue Care Home which is set in beautiful
surroundings and is well maintained. The experienced staff are both kind and respectful to the residents and visitors. I have found the management to be very approachable.
My overall thoughts are that my brother is safe, well cared for and much happier than of late.

Amazing morale and cooperation between staff and residents. Nutritious lovely meals cooked fresh daily in modern kitchen facilities by a happy dedicated cook. Extremely tidy and hygienic catering facility which is echoed throughout the establishment. Genuine caring concern for the resident's well being.
Every
one of the staff always smiling. A very happy environment which reflects onto the contented residents. A caring oasis in what could be difficult circumstances.

My sister has been at The Avenue Care Home for some 3 years now, having been referred there to recuperate after a long period of hospitalisation.
The improvement in her health and well being since then has been considerable due to the excellent support she has received from all the carers and management
at the home. For which I can't thank them enough.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone who needs care on a short or long-term basis.

My relative has been extremely well looked after in the two years she has been a resident here and her health has significantly improved over that time. The staff are very caring and the home is warm and welcoming. There is also a nice well-kept garden for residents to sit out in when it is warm enough.

I visit The Avenue once every week to administer the Eucharist to Roman Catholic clients. I always receive a warm welcome from staff and clients alike and feel very much 'at home.' Indeed, others of different religious background or of no faith are and have been included.
My experience suggests that
clients are encouraged towards activities or events wherever interest is shown. I have the privilege of meeting other clients in the course of my visits and enjoy friendly chats.
My impression is that the staff show great interest, patience and care in the course of their work. I admire their efforts.
Naturally, there have been occasions when illness has led to staff shortages. Again my impression is of a staff working together to meet the needs of the clients in the best way(s) possible.

I would most certainly recommend Avenue. The staff are all caring and compassionate. They go over and above what is expected of them and they should all be very proud of the work they do.
The residents are all well cared for and look clean and well looked after. The home is spotlessly clean and the
residents clothes are laundered to a high standard.
There are regular activities for those who want to participate and relatives can join in too.
Staff facilitated my Uncle attending an outside activity each week which demonstates the individualised care that is provided.
The food is enjoyed by the residents and the cook is very obliging and thoughtful.
Shopping is done each week for residents by one of the staff and this again demonstrates the extra mile that the staff go to for their residents.
The Owner, Manager and deputy manager are available daily and have a wonderful rapport with the residents and lead by example.
We couldn't be happier with the service and care they provide.
