A great big shout out to you all, my Mum is so happy at Willowbank, there is never a day goes by without fabulous activities and entertainment, I love the videos and pictures on social media, it lets me see just how happy she is. I live in Devon and can't get to see her as often as I would like, knowing she is cared for in the way you beautiful people care for her makes the distance much easier to bare. I just want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart

My Dad moved in to Willow Bank in July 2025, his experience of being in another home for about 8 months before that, wasn't great for him, The individual attention and care, mostly for Dad but also the family has been hugely positive at Willow Bank. Dad is an individual, the staff treat him as such with respect and care. The 'Homely' feel of Willow Bank makes us feel more comfortable with dad being cared for in a care home. The staff are always welcoming and the communication is fantastic, nothing is too much trouble to make Dads situation better if its possible, for example, so that he didn't need to be disturbed based on the district nurses timetable (some times v early mornings) to receive his insulin, Willow Bank staff took on training to be able to deliver this on his timetable, with familiar people and linked to his eating patterns. just 1 of the individual care focused applications we are truly grateful for. Thankyou.

My mother is very happy here, lovely caring staff, lots of activities, lovely food, very happy with the service we are receiving.

Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they are very attentive and really look after the residents. They always have time for a chat and show my mother a lot of attention, which she loves.

I have never been in any care home before my auntie needed care. The first one wasn't great but seeing the difference between her first and this is miles apart. The staff are always welcoming and it shows how much they care about the residents. They are always offered drinks throughout the day, the food is great and homecooked. There's plenty of activities and things on hand for visitors to do with their family members. Also spotlessly clean

Mum moved to this care home at the grand age of 99 years.
Although I had wanted to nurse mum at home I now felt the time was right to accept more help for mum.
The home was very welcoming from the start.
They explained everything clearly ,and answered all my questions. They showed me round , giving me time so that I didn't feel rushed.
Mum took a while to settle, which is understandable. She was made to feel welcome , right from the word go.
There were always plenty of staff to help with mum,no job being too small.
The home was lovely and warm, mum enjoyed the sing alongs they had.
The food could not have been nicer, well presented , big chunks of meat in the potatoe pie, all home cooked and fresh.
Her room was nice and bright, with a view from her window.
Mum was apprehensive at first, she explained she would need help at bed time, bless her.
The staff were all friendly and welcoming.

The place is warm and cosy and the food was amazing .

Willow Bank is truly the most outstanding and heartwarming place. Willow Bank is so much more than just a care home, it's my grandma's home. The staff go above and beyond to make sure residents are always comfortable, clean, respected, and most importantly, happy and loved. My grandma's home is always full of smiles and laughter whenever we go, the care she receives is excellent and the staff treat her like she's their own. I wouldn't want my grandma anywhere else. The food is excellent, varied, looks tasty and the cooks are lovely too. There is entertainment every day, which clearly puts a smile on everyone's face as well as keeps the residents simulated. The parties Willow Bank throw are always so full of joy, we love the parties and to see everyone so happy is so heartwarming and reassuring to my dad and aunties that they made the right decision for their mum. I know my family and I have nothing to worry about as long as my grandma is at Willow Bank. I will forever recommend this lovely home.

I am a regular, visiting volunteer with my border collie, we are members of a national pet therapy charity. We visit weekly to Willow Bank Residential Home. We are welcomed with smiles from all staff and all residents. Most of the residents have had dogs. My dog loves to sit by everyone for cuddles in a warm, caring, safe environment. Hearing everyone's stories is fascinating, the happy faces of everyone at the home when he arrives are truly wonderful. I always feel uplifted and very happy on leaving until next week. Friendliness is apparent and kindness is in abundance. Thank you everyone for having us at Willow Bank.

The care and attention my dad receives at Willow Bank is excellent. All the staff are really friendly and are absolutely lovely with all the residents. Throughout December the activities and entertainment leading up to Christmas and New Year were really special. I can rest easy knowing my Dad is so well taken care of.

Excellent. The care and support from the moment you walk into Willow Bank, for both our father and our family, has been wonderful. The whole team at Willow Bank always try hard to meet the individual needs/likes and dislikes of each resident, helping them to feel safe, respected and loved. There are lots well thought daily fun activities, parties and celebrations and outings into the community for the residents to join in, if they want to. It is a relief knowing our wonderful Father/Grandad is being so well cared for.

My mum has been a resident at Willowbank since May 2023. The standard of care provided by the carers is excellent. They are all kind and supportive to mum and I. The home is spotlessly clean and the food is excellent. Cannot fault in any way and feel reassured that Mum is being well cared for.

My father-in-law is very happy in his new home. He loves the food and the activities. The socialization has been brilliant for him. He is well looked after and cared for. The care workers are very professional and seem to really enjoy what they do. I love seeing the pictures they post of the different activities the residents get up to. They all look so happy. It’s a very well-run care home.

Willow Bank Care Home is an amazing and truly outstanding home. My mother-in-law is very happy there and she is looked after excellently. The management and staff are wonderful. They treat the residents with so much respect and look after them like they are their own family which is so nice to see. They do activities every day which keep the residents stimulated and have entertainers going in the home frequently. Willow Bank has a very homely feel to it and the management and staff go above and beyond looking after the residents and their families. I would not hesitate to recommend this home.

I have never had a “bad” visit to this home; it’s so refreshing to see my grandma so well looked after, happy and entertained. All the residents in the home are lovely- the staff at the home make it the wonderful place it is. The staff perfectly make it a true home to its residents- with the personalised pictures around the home, all the celebrations and parties they throw: it’s not an establishment but a true home for its residents. Me and my family love visiting- all needs of my grandma are met; keeping her as comfortable as possible. It couldn’t be a better home if it tried.

My mum began visiting Willow Bank as a daycare last year. We as a family have been very pleased with the service they have provided to us and in more recent months we have begun to get to know the staff and other residents very well. Willow Bank is a welcoming and happy place and all the residents appear to be settled and content within their surroundings, and as relatives of those who reside and are cared for there, this provides comfort and appreciation.
The staff and management are very dedicated and approachable and provide a caring environment for all concerned.

I’d recommend the home wholeheartedly.

I have nothing but praise for Willow Bank Nursing Home- the staff take their duty of care very seriously indeed and in that regard, my father’s physical and medical needs are fully understood. He always looks beautifully turned out -clean, well-dressed and shaved. His appearance has always been important to him and it is reassuring to the family that this is recognised and prioritised by the staff.
The workforce seem well trained and foreground respect and dignity towards the residents. Not only that but my father has been shown such kindness over the months that he has been resident there. The staff have supported him through the deepest grief after the loss of my mother after 65 years of marriage.

The families of the residents are welcomed at any time and there is always something happening - a sing-along, a visit from the children at the local nursery, or a trip out. The family chose Willow Bank for its sense of home from home - it deserves its CQC rating of Outstanding.
