The time Mum has lived at Langdale I am more than satisfied with the care and attention she receives. Management and staff are first class with the service they provide.

My mother had end-stage Alzheimer's disease and was very agitated and frightened. The staff have all been superb. So very caring and kind. The management worked closely with the local GP to change my mother's medication. This helped my mother by making her calmer and much happier. Sadly my mother passed away at Langdale House. However, she was shown the utmost respect and dignity throughout her time there. The funeral directors commented to say how clean and well cared for my mother had been when they collected her from the home.

Overall the care is very good.
The staff are cheerful and caring and the atmosphere is pleasant and homely.
After visiting for three years I am still happy how they are treated.

You would be the first to know if in any way I was bothered and I'm sure it would be rectified at once.

My road to finding permanent nursing care for my wife had been long and arduous with numerous concerns regarding dignity, safety, warmth and general wellbeing. My wife has only been at Langdale House for a short period but the level of care is beyond my expectations. The entire team led by the senior managers have totally put my mind at ease with the level of care, dignity and compassion shown towards my wife. Nothing is a problem when talking with the staff. Importantly, us that are left behind when illness incapacitates our loved ones need to be comfortable with the choices that we make on behalf of those loved. My choice of nursing home could not have been better than Langdale House.

Over the last two years, I have noticed that the home has made a lot of improvements.
They are keen to hear of any issues that relatives may have and address them.
The home has developed now into a very happy family.
The management is going all out, striving to reach excellent in all areas, and I'm sure they will.

My biggest issue is the shortage of staff, and more staff would certainly help.

Mum has been at Langdale House since February 2016 and settled in really well.
All staff are very caring and supportive in all aspects of care.
Despite always appearing very busy they still provide a tailored support to fit each resident.

A relaxed and friendly atmosphere with a real home from home feeling.

I can only speak as I have found.
My sister looks 100% better than she has for a long time and seems very happy.

The care she gets appears to be 1st class.

Overall Experience
My wife has been a resident at Langdale House for a number of years now and I cannot praise the staff enough. They are all caring people who have their residents care and needs as their priority. Not only do they support the people in care but their relatives too. I am always made welcome, I get an update on my wife's condition (as best they can) and a senior member of staff makes time to talk to concerned relatives. The door is always open. The rooms are comfortable as well as functional.
Cleanliness is taken extremely seriously in all areas, whether that be the resident's rooms or social area's. Food is of a good quality and relatives are encouraged to partake in lunch with their spouses. A very special place to visit, not at all sad but a very happy place.

Thank you all, you are my stars.
