All the staff are very friendly and since my grandad had been here is feet have improved no end . I am impressed with the cleanliness in the home everything is spec & span.

My mother has been here for some time now. Eden holme has recently upgraded and refurbished and it looks fantastic it's very welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. The staff are very attentive to your loved ones needs . The care is always exceptional. I would recommend this care home second to none.

The Father's Day celebration held at Langdale House on Saturday 20 June was well supported by family members. The singer was the best we have heard since my husband arrived at the Home in January 2026. Well done Sharon and all the staff who attended to support residents. A very good variety of snacking food was made available for all. A most enjoyable afternoon all round. Thank you.

From Dec 2025 till now I cannot fault Eden at all . I was hell bent my mum wasn't going into care after caring for her myself many years . As her condition had deteriorated she was no longer safe at home . After 2 weeks respite at Eden she was thriving . So much happier, the care is 2nd to none . Management are hands on . I'm constantly updated on my mums condition even though I visit every other day ! The chefs provide wonderful meals , there is nothing at all I could fault even if i tried . The staff are all so caring and hard working . It's literally like home from home. I feel I've gained family . Thankyou Eden

The standard of care is excellent. My mum is always treated with dignity and respect, and it gives us great peace of mind knowing she is safe, comfortable, and well looked after. The staff go above and beyond, offering not just physical care but emotional support and companionship, which has made a real difference to her wellbeing.The home is also very well led. The manager creates a warm, supportive environment where both residents and staff thrive. This strong leadership is reflected in the happy, dedicated team and the consistently high level of care provided.Communication with families is clear and reassuring, and we always feel listened to and involved.Highly recommend.

After stays in other Care Facilities, my Partner was moved to Oakdale Care. His behaviour has been challenging but he has been treated with dignity and care at Oakdale and is very settled. I have the utmost respect for Oakdale staff who deal with awkward situations calmly and with a smile. Thank you Oakdale for giving me peace of mind.

I can only say that the care my father has received has been outstanding, the staff are amazing and really are the best at caring , it truly feels so homely and my father couldn't be happier now.

Staff are kind and hardworking, but my mother-in-law declined much faster than expected during her eight months here. Activities are extremely limited - often nothing beyond TV, with only one short outing in that time. The website suggests a full programme, but in reality the activities coordinator is present for about an hour a day, sometimes less or not at all. Even the pet rabbit is left alone outside, seemingly just to tick a box.

Many staff are on overseas sponsorships and, while polite, language barriers mean interactions are very task-focused, leaving the home feeling cold and impersonal. Personal care was inconsistent, with no haircut provided in eight months. We also had safety and medication concerns, including a morphine patch applied without informing us and residents wandering unsupervised.

We visited daily and saw that reviews often focus on occasional events, while day-to-day life is under-stimulating. Not recommended - we were relieved to move her somewhere better.

My husband went into Langdale lodge Newbold last March after a very brief stay in a previous nursing home. Moving him here was the best thing that could have happened. He was treated with respect, dignity and fantastic care. Myself and other family members who visited Ray were treated kindly and nothing was too much trouble.Sadly my husband lost the fight to his terrible dementia a short while ago, but he was treated with compassion right to the very end. I really can't recommend this care home enough, only to say if ever I have the need to go into one, Langdale Lodge at Newbold would be the one I would choose.

The way in which my sister has recently improved as a result of group stimulation is very good to witness.

My Nana recently moved into the home. Several family members visited today with our toddlers. The staff enabled us to spend some lovely time in the garden where the kids could run around whilst we shared lemonade and biscuits with our Nana. The staff bought this all to us unexpectedly. It was greatly appreciated. They then offered us to stay for lunch and set us up a lovely table for our whole family to eat together in the garden. The food was really delicious which surprised me. The staff were really attentive and even gave the kids ice lollies. They seemed very considerate and helpful.

My dear wife spent the last few weeks of her life in Eden Holme and I and our family were really impressed by the caring, dedicated team who looked after her and indeed us when we visited. From the manager down, all the staff were friendly, hardworking and clearly very well trained.

My mother has been shown the utmost respect, kindness and care. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and visitors are always given a very warm welcome . Her needs are always met swiftly and efficiently .

My mum came to this care home after being in hospital for 3 weeks. She has stage 4 cancer which was a shock for me and my brother, but the care that the staff give my mum is Amazing it is such a beautiful place and i know she is taken care off by the Fabulous staff who have became kind of a second family. I would recommend this care home as i know my mum is safe and looked after and is an Amazing place

The Manager is a wonderful professional, who with his exceptional dedicated team looks after my brother in such a caring way. I cannot praise them enough for what they do for us on a daily basis. Thankyou.

My husband was put in Everdale Grange to get him mobile, possibly, after a hip operations.This was arranged for us.As he is non compliant most of the time he isn't moving forward much. I and his children are pleased with the care he is getting. All 3 of us would be pleased if he stays there. I did want him to return home but its too early to make that decision. I don't know if its "value for money" as we are not paying at the moment.

I can not fault the home at all and I have seen and visited many homes as a retired NHS Clinical Specialist Nurse in Dementia care. I would recommend the home to anyone who wishes their family member or friend to have the best person-centred care. Thank you again to all the staff.
