The Father's Day celebration held at Langdale House on Saturday 20 June was well supported by family members. The singer was the best we have heard since my husband arrived at the Home in January 2026. Well done Sharon and all the staff who attended to support residents. A very good variety of snacking food was made available for all. A most enjoyable afternoon all round. Thank you.

The standard of care is excellent. My mum is always treated with dignity and respect, and it gives us great peace of mind knowing she is safe, comfortable, and well looked after. The staff go above and beyond, offering not just physical care but emotional support and companionship, which has made a real difference to her wellbeing.The home is also very well led. The manager creates a warm, supportive environment where both residents and staff thrive. This strong leadership is reflected in the happy, dedicated team and the consistently high level of care provided.Communication with families is clear and reassuring, and we always feel listened to and involved.Highly recommend.

After stays in other Care Facilities, my Partner was moved to Oakdale Care. His behaviour has been challenging but he has been treated with dignity and care at Oakdale and is very settled. I have the utmost respect for Oakdale staff who deal with awkward situations calmly and with a smile. Thank you Oakdale for giving me peace of mind.

My mother has been shown the utmost respect, kindness and care. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and visitors are always given a very warm welcome . Her needs are always met swiftly and efficiently .

My mum came to this care home after being in hospital for 3 weeks. She has stage 4 cancer which was a shock for me and my brother, but the care that the staff give my mum is Amazing it is such a beautiful place and i know she is taken care off by the Fabulous staff who have became kind of a second family. I would recommend this care home as i know my mum is safe and looked after and is an Amazing place

My husband was put in Everdale Grange to get him mobile, possibly, after a hip operations.This was arranged for us.As he is non compliant most of the time he isn't moving forward much. I and his children are pleased with the care he is getting. All 3 of us would be pleased if he stays there. I did want him to return home but its too early to make that decision. I don't know if its "value for money" as we are not paying at the moment.

I can not fault the home at all and I have seen and visited many homes as a retired NHS Clinical Specialist Nurse in Dementia care. I would recommend the home to anyone who wishes their family member or friend to have the best person-centred care. Thank you again to all the staff.

I am so pleased to have found Sutton Elms and would like to give a very big thank you to the staff and management for my mum's care.

My uncle arrived at Langdale Sapcote in February 2021, at first he was very unsettled but the team soon helped him settle in and now he sees it as his home. The staff go above and beyond in their help and assistance to him and us as a family. We are kept up to date on everything concerning my uncle and visit weekly and are always met with smiling caring faces. We can't express our love and thanks to everyone there and one lady who makes a lovely cup of coffee!

Dad was very well looked after and he wasn't an easy man to please! The nurses, in particular, took time to get to know him, and the carers catered for all his needs and requests - such a constant supply of cold milk. He was treated with the utmost dignity, and they did everything to make his passing comfortable, such compassion shown by the nurses and manager to my sister and me too - on what was a traumatic day for us - thank you.

The lady I visit feels happy and comfortable with the carers. The home is clean, and tidy and smells nice, the food looks good. She is cared for well here.

My father has been in Langdale House for almost two years now. During this time we have found the care to be excellent. The staff are cheerful, helpful and really connect with the residents. As a very reluctant resident to begin with, Dad feels very much at home now. The food is homemade and very good. The nurses, carers and management are very caring and professional at the same time. The activities are imaginative and engaging with wonderful musical guests. Thank you for such a caring family atmosphere and home.

I feel this nursing home is the best - I feel my friend will be looked after more like royalty. The staff are so caring and considerate they are all guardian angels and you don't see that in all nursing homes. I feel if you get a nice one you don't have to worry half as much as you would be feeling useless with their care. May I congratulate all the staff for their hands-on team - at home and for making visiting my friend very easy for me that doesn't happen a lot in my experience. I salute them all.

Always a pleasure to visit my husband as the staff are so pleasant and helpful. Always a smiling face to greet me. Good to see that the residents are not only cared for physically but also mentally with varied activities arranged during the week to stimulate their minds. Thank you.

Home from home.

My dad has been living at Sutton in the Elms Care Home for nearly two years. Mum and I found the family meeting organised by the home so useful - it was a great opportunity to find out more about the processes and practices at the home, and how dad is cared for. It was also a chance to meet other families and share experiences, which helped enormously, as it can be very isolating having a loved one in care. I think these family meetings are a great initiative and will be coming to them regularly from now on.

When my mother first moved into Sutton In The Elms she was in a pretty bad way. She settled in and due to the care of the manager and the team, is thriving. Always smiling, happy and content. She gets her hair and nails done, is always clean and her spark and character are back. I regularly join her and her fellow residents for lunch and am always made to feel welcome. Knowing Mum is safe and looked after is great for her but also for us, her family and friends. The peace of mind is fantastic. Thank you!

Langdale House provided excellent care for my father in the last few months of his life. He had late stages of vascular dementia when he arrived at Langdale having been hospitalised prior to that for five weeks. He was very agitated when he first arrived but the staff all treated him with compassion, dignity and with his personal care first and foremost. This included one-on-one care, a medical review and taking time to understand who he was and what he enjoyed doing. We as a family could not have asked for better care, support or communication, it's a nursing care home in every sense of the word.

He also loves the food there and they always offer him extra pudding which he loves. All round a lovely place and my father is very happy there which is a relief for our family.
