Family-run Moat House Care Home offers award-winning affordable luxury in the beautiful conservation area of Burbage village, Leicestershire.

Residents are cared for by the same friendly faces with a well-trained team who ensure high standards of residential, daycare and dementia care in a comfortable, caring and compassionate environment.

Wellbeing and happiness is at the heart of the home and dedicated activity coordinators provide residents with a daily fun, engaging and stimulating social programme designed to encourage a fulfilled, happy and enriched life.

In the dementia care suites, residents have access to sensory areas, reminiscence activities and memory boxes. With its own minibus, Moat House residents frequently get out and about on day trips to places of local interest.

Well-equipped facilities include spacious, tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms, a cinema, a traditional pub, hair salon, and lifestyle kitchens where residents are encouraged to assist with everyday tasks such as making a cup of tea or laying the table for dinner. Tasty home-cooked meals are served in dining rooms, which overlook the attractive gardens.

Set amidst two acres of mature trees, Moat House has beautiful sensory gardens with an aviary, patio seating area, water feature as well as a relaxing spinney moat walk.

Always friendly reception and most obliging staff. No problem, whatever that may be, remains unresolved. Ambience of rooms excellent, care facilities and attention given to residents also excellent. Challenge is to maintain the high standards currently achieved.

I visit mum regularly at weekends, she has a few problems with her memory and gets upset and frustrated at times. She is well looked after though and has plenty of support from the staff at Moat House. She is very well looked after and on the whole happy.

On Saturday 12th August, my stepfather was taken poorly. His vision was impaired and he was very upset and scared. We have just gone through the stressful process of trying to find appropriate care for mum in law and having visited several homes we were getting concerned about the level of quality available in the area. Then, everything changed when we went to The Moat House, so far they have excelled in every
way and we are pretty confident that our happy experience will continue. The staff, the care, the home are exceptional. Its the first place we visited where laughter could be heard from the visitors and staff alike, the Moat House seems to be everything we need.

Moat House truly became dad's home. We were always included in the decisions and made very welcome.
I do not wish to hasten the day but I could happily move in. The staff by and large are very decent and accommodating. The management team and admin support, reception etc have been like family.
At
end of dad's life waiting to die here, the carers were amazing.

Moat House is a clean, homely place with very friendly and helpful staff. The excellent care provided exceeds our expectations. We are kept informed of mums health and welfare by phone or on visits the organised events, clubs and outings help mum keep busy and stimulated. The catering provides a varied

My neighbour aged 93 moved into this care home for a trial period of 3 weeks and has now decided to live there permanently. She is very happy there and has made friends. She now joins in with the activities and is very well looked after. All the staff are very pleasant and can't do enough for her. I
am very impressed.

The whole environment is welcoming, happy and safe. My friend was in for 4 and a half years starting downstairs then had to be moved upstairs when her dementia go too bad. All the staff on both floors were outstanding!! They were so caring and friendly and treated her with kindness and respect. She
had and very happy time here and I would recommend Moat House to anyone.

I am a regular visitor to Moat House. I generally attend open days, coffee mornings and Saturday coffee shop. I always find the staff very polite and the management always goes out of their way to help and no question is ever too much trouble to answer no matter how busy they are.

After having a new hip at 84 years old, my mother was not happy to return home, with the cottage she lives in not having good stairs, toilet etc... We decided to let mum stay at Moat House. Wow! Such a great place to recover for a month, she stayed and loved her time there, the standard of care was
beyond our expectations, staff 100% fantastic and that's all the staff. Her recovery gave her confidence and has made her ready for all the challenges ahead of her. Many thanks.
