Moat House Care Home

It has been a luxurious break in my recovery. The food and staff have been first class.

I expected physiotherapy, I've learnt to do it myself, knowing that help and care are there all the time.

I expected nursing (medical) care. This has been called in when needed.

Mum is very happy and settled in Moat House. Staff are extremely caring and engage Mum in activities. Where she is able to. Staff are responsive to my concerns and always helpful and approachable.

Moat House is a beautiful home with happy and helpful staff. My great aunt is very well cared for and couldn't be happier there.

I help with the activities coordinators and find them very friendly and helpful with the residents. In fact all the members of staff I have found to be very pleasant and helpful.

Always friendly reception and most obliging staff. No problem, whatever that may be, remains unresolved. Ambience of rooms excellent, care facilities and attention given to residents also excellent. Challenge is to maintain the high standards currently achieved.

I visit mum regularly at weekends, she has a few problems with her memory and gets upset and frustrated at times. She is well looked after though and has plenty of support from the staff at Moat House. She is very well looked after and on the whole happy.

The public rooms and bedrooms are maintained to a very high standard. The staff are always friendly with a cheery smile and saying hello.

Welcoming caring and jolly staff. The regular entertainment is a lovely tonic for the residents.

On Saturday 12th August, my stepfather was taken poorly. His vision was impaired and he was very upset and scared. One of the senior carers was so kind and caring towards him, that we feel we must share this with you. She had so much patience and compassion we are truly indebted to her because it really must be a very frightening experience to go through.

We have just gone through the stressful process of trying to find appropriate care for mum in law and having visited several homes we were getting concerned about the level of quality available in the area. Then, everything changed when we went to The Moat House, so far they have excelled in every way and we are pretty confident that our happy experience will continue. The staff, the care, the home are exceptional. Its the first place we visited where laughter could be heard from the visitors and staff alike, the Moat House seems to be everything we need.

At end of dad's life waiting to die here, the carers were amazing.

This has been a difficult few months for my mum and myself. It was very reassuring to know that she is receiving the best care possible. The staff are great no matter what role they have. Genuine care and concern is apparent, plus the provision of excellent facilities makes life for my mum as good as possible.

Lovely rooms and garden which is well maintained. Caring staff who take time to interact with residents. Lots of activities for residents. Friends and relatives always welcome. Good range of other services on site.

The family are happy with the care given to my mother, she is happy to be at Moat House Care Home. Everyone including maintenance staff and cleaners are always so cheerful and helpful. The activities staff are great with the way they encourage participation, making activities fun.

Moat House is a clean, homely place with very friendly and helpful staff. The excellent care provided exceeds our expectations. We are kept informed of mums health and welfare by phone or on visits the organised events, clubs and outings help mum keep busy and stimulated. The catering provides a varied menu of good food mum has never expressed a desire to return to her own home.

My great auntie went into the home for a few months following a physical health setback and the experience for her was brilliant.

The staff were all very good to my friend and cared for her a lot. Some even came in to see her when she was in her last hours and they were off shift.
