My mother spent the last 2 and half years of her life at Bramwell Care home until she died a few weeks before her 93rd birthday. The care she received was exemplary and the support she and the family received from the staff there is very much appreciated.

After visiting various care homes around where we live, we decided that Bramwell care home, although a little bit further to travel to, is worth the distance to have Mother have the best service possible. Very pleased with the care that she is receiving.

I am an only child. I live in Norwich. My mother, (98) first went into a residential home in January 2016; it was not the best but was the home of her choice. She fell on Boxing Day 2017 and fractured her pelvis and went into hospital for approximately 8 weeks. Whilst the hospital attended to her medical needs (she contracted flu and a clot on her lung in there), her nursing care was very poor; long and dirty fingernails, unkempt hair and lack of oral hygiene. It was obvious nursing care was now required.

I contacted Bramwell and was immediately impressed by their professionalism. They agreed to take her in. She arrived there on 14th February and within 12 hours, my mother was a different woman; hair washed, fingernails cut and spotlessly clean, her oral hygiene attended to. Since then my wife and I have been very impressed with her standard of care. The nursing staff treat her with dignity and utmost attention. Her room and facilities are second to none. We now have peace of mind.

I am generally satisfied with the service of this care home, however, more staff would improve conditions. Laundry services could be improved. Value for money is an issue as the fees are very expensive.

My mother will have been a resident for three years early in 2018 and will be 98 years of age in January 2018.

I can honestly state that the care she has received at Bramwell is a major factor in her good general health. Bramwell Care Home also provide excellent care for her dementia and regular activities.

Bramwell has provided excellent care for my mother over the last year. She has a lovely clean and tidy room with marvellous washing/toilet facilities. The carers have treated her with compassion and dignity, and she has been extremely happy with her stay in Bramwell. Mum loved the food at Bramwell, and really enjoyed all the activities that were laid on by the staff.

All the staff I have dealt with have been extremely helpful, and only too willing to make sure my mum had a comfortable stay.

My grandmother 94 has been a resident at Bramwell Care Home for just over a year now, having lived alone for over 27 years previously. Moving into Bramwell Care Home has been the best move she could have made. Having had dealings with a few other residential homes in the past my family and I are extremely happy with my grandmother's health and wellbeing. She seems happy and content joining in with some of the many activities. The actual home itself is not showy but there is always a warm welcome from all members of staff, which when leaving a vulnerable member of your family is most reassuring.

Mum was made to feel at home from the moment she arrived. She is so much happier now she has 24/7 care and other people to talk to. The staff are always kind to mum and us when we visit coffee and biscuits. They always have time to listen.

My mother did not want respite care. Bramwell provided that care to a very high standard. The home was exceptionally clean. The staff were always very helpful and kind to my mum. Her care needs were studied and they provided the specific needs.

The whole experience was excellent for carers as well as residents.

Mum has been at Bramwell for just over two months now, we were dreading how she would be after we had left her there, but the staff each and every one of them spoke to her as if she was special, she loved this, it makes her feel important. The staff definitely bring the best out of her. Mum seems so much happier being at Bramwell than she was before, she is entertained daily with a range of activities. She loves the food! The good and kitchen staff are also delightful.

My mum moved to Bramwell Care Home in March. Staff are brilliant, it's clean, well maintained. My mum is 92 years old, she is very happy and she is being very well looked after. All the staff cannot do enough for the residents and are always at hand if residents need their assistance.

I have had no cause for concern on how this care home is being run, by management or by the staff. I know my mum and if she wasn't happy then I wouldn't be, but she is happy and at 92 years of age, that's what you wish for with your relative.

I would just like to say how my mother-in-law is well cared for at Bramwell. The Manager arranged a wonderful party for her birthday, for all service users and family. It's so nice to be able to take my wife on holiday and not have to worry, as she knows my mother-in-law will be ok.

As a family we feel our mum has been well cared for with dignity and respect. The care staff are kind and gentle with her and do their utmost to meet her varying needs. The office staff are very approachable, welcoming and helpful. The recent change in care home manager has resulted in a warm, happy and more relaxed atmosphere. It's good to hear laughter.

My father is a resident at Bramwell Care Home. He has lived there since June 2014 and in that time he has been treated extremely well in most areas. The home is very clean and most of the carers are very kind and efficient. It is great that the activities member of staff plays dominoes with my father. The food is nutritious but could be more varied. We always have peace of mind that he is well cared for.

My Mother became a resident of Bramwell in February 2015 at the age of 95. She required twenty four hour care and an environment providing safety and stimulation in her life as she had developed dementia and was becoming confused, which was a serious concern.

In the year she has been in Bramwell the care they have provided has been excellent and she has found a new lease of life. The support of all the management and staff not only to my Mother but to myself in a diffcult personal situation over the past few months has been exceptional.

I cannot offer anything but praise for Bramwell.

The staff are so caring and helpful. A new manager has just started and she is great, jolly and full of energy. My dad needs to be feed and it's never a problem. It's clean and smells nice (many don't). There is regular food snacks to stop the residents getting bored and they can walk around freely anytime.
