After working in a care home myself, unfortunately, I had to leave as what I witnessed over time upset me and I vowed my father would never go into one. The time came recently for this to be and I found Bramwell! Perfect in every way! It is more like a hotel than a home. The manager has a fantastic ethic and is on the ball in every aspect. All staff are kind, encouraging and empathetic, to not only the residents but also to family. My father is happy, therefore I am too!

My mum had a short stay at Bramwell Care Home after leaving the hospital. During her stay, she was happy, comfortable, warm and very well cared for. I would certainly recommend Bramwell to anyone looking for a care home for an elderly relative with dementia.

Before my mum went into Bramwell Care Home we viewed several other establishments and following up on recommendations to this establishment, we were impressed with the overall look and feel, not only of the premises, but to the staff's attitude. Because of my mum's dementia, a proper reflection of what she had done and participated in only came to light via staff acknowledgement and photos in the activities book. Overall, care and attention to detail by staff was beyond our expectations and we can only thank them for making my mum's last few months what it was.

Mum continues to be cared for as if she was one of their own. The kindness shown is second to none and all carers do their utmost to ensure my elderly mum is comfortable, feels safe, and is stimulated by daily, varied activities. This ethos can only be generated by brilliant management, which Bramwell has. Recently Mum was admitted to hospital and they spotted the problems early so that she was successfully treated. We couldn't wish for a better home from home for Mum.

The home is absolutely fantastic all round. I visit most days and see exactly how hard the staff work, they're loving and always friendly. I have seen residents abuse staff verbally and physically, including abuse from my own mother, the staff are brilliant at dealing with it. The staff treat the residents like they're family. The home contact with any update, even when I have visited earlier that day. When my mum first went in the home, she was so pleased to see me, she rushed across her room to see me, fell, and broke her arm, if I wasn't there the staff could have been blamed for not looking after her. I can honestly say every single member of staff in Bramwell is loving, friendly and take pride in their work at every level!

The first time we walked in we just knew we had found the right place. Everything

just felt right and it was spotlessly clean. Staff couldn't be more attentive and the manager is excellent and very approachable manager. Mum and Dad were both residents and had rooms across the corridor from each other which was lovely for them and us. Mum has recently passed away but the care and respect they have shown to us, especially on the day of the funeral, was exemplary. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

My mother was unwell and had a fall on a Tuesday. I was informed and it was explained to me that a urine infection had been diagnosed and antibiotics prescribed by the GP. On Friday mother was visited by her sister who was concerned about her presentation. My brother phoned the home on Saturday am. Staff said that mum was fine and was eating and drinking normally. I visited Saturday pm, and found mum fully dressed, unconscious in her chair. She was very difficult to rouse and was not weight-bearing, (prior to this she was chatting, eating and mobilising with a stick). I discussed this with staff and could get little information, other than 'she has finished her antibiotics'! I stated to the deputy that I would be calling for an ambulance. Paramedics took mum to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with sepsis. She stayed there for 5 weeks, then returned to a different care home. She was never the same and has recently passed. Why did the staff not pick up that she was unwell and unresponsive?
