We are so impressed with Bramwell Care Home. From the first visit to look around we found all the staff to be so friendly, welcoming and went out of their way to make my father and our family to feel 'at home'. The home and the garden is so beautiful, spotlessly clean, modern and there is such a relaxing
atmosphere. But it is the staff that make this home exceptional. Each and every one of them goes above what is expected of them and makes this home so special.

I can't say what a great place Bramwell is; words don't do it justice. The staff, the manager are so kind and thoughtful. The difference in my husband is wonderful. He smiles, laughs, and mixes in which he never did at home, although I took him out 3-4 times a week.
10 stars.

My father went into Bramwell in December 2024. He is well looked after and enjoys the wholesome meals. When visiting the carers are welcoming and provide refreshments which is nice. My father has a quiet area where he has full use of a tv and is quite happy.

This care home is providing first class care to my uncle. All the staff are friendly, polite and nothing is too much trouble. Any queries I have are answered efficiently, if my uncle needs additional care - ie doctor, the staff include him for the next DB Unit, or if urgent get the doctor out. The manager,
runs this care home with the utmost respect for the residents, their needs are put first. The environment is relaxed, and comfortable, clean at all times. The food is amazing, everything cooked from scratch, the cakes + pastries are amazing! I would highly recommend this care home to anyone who needs the reassurance their loved on is being well taken care of.

Mum came to Bramwell in January after a short stay in hospital and being unable to live alone safely. The whole team at Bramwell have been nothing but excellent. The care and support she has received has seen her blossom from a lovely lady living on her own with few friends to being part of a loving
community. Absolutely recommend Bramwell to anyone considering their family needing care. The activities are wonderful and plentiful. Thank you Bramwell.

My aunt passed away on 11th October 2024 but until the very end she was taken care of by the staff at Bramwell at the highest possible level. Such care and compassion for my aunt was so welcome at a very difficult time. It was if the staff attending my aunt were dealing with a member of their own family.
I cannot praise all the staff and management for the way that they way they treated my aunt in all the time she was in their care. When I visited my aunt she was always clean and her room clean and tidy. Throughout her stay and at her passing she was shown dignity and the greatest of respect.
Thank you to everyone at Bramwell Care Home you deserve 5 stars in every respect.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.957)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.957) out of 10 for Bramwell Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 108 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 108 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.957 for Bramwell Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (1238 Excellents x 5) + (50 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 1291 Ratings = 4.957
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bramwell Care Home is based on 108 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 93 registered maximum number of service users is 18.6, which has been reached with 108 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I’m Maryam, and I have been working at Bramwell as a care team leader since 2020. I am Bramwell’s Safeguarding Champion, and I take pride in advocating for our residents and ensuring that all staff and families are aware of our safeguarding practices to create a safer and more supportive environment for everyone.

Aside from working at Bramwell, I enjoy doing activities with my daughter – every Saturday is our mother-daughter date! I also have a good time inviting my friends over for a get-together.

I’m Abdullah, and I have proudly been part of the Bramwell team for nearly four years. During this time, I have grown from a dedicated care assistant into a confident Care Team Leader, gaining experience in supporting residents, guiding staff, and contributing to the smooth running of the home. Bramwell has given me countless new experiences, and I continue to grow every day through strong leadership, support, and guidance.

I take great pride in my role and readily embrace additional responsibilities that support the team and enhance resident care. I am passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred support and building trusting relationships with residents and their families. Working closely with my colleagues is something I truly value, and supporting my team is a core part of how I work.

What I enjoy most about Bramwell is making a meaningful difference in residents’ lives while being part of a warm, well-led, and supportive team. Whether through compassionate care, teamwork, or reassuring families, every day gives me the chance to contribute positively.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling, cooking, and exploring new places. I like staying active, learning new things, and taking on challenges that help me grow personally and professionally. I am proud to be part of Bramwell, where I feel valued, trusted, and inspired to be my best every day.
