Sutton Manor Residential Home is a lovely welcoming home well suited to the needs of forty-five residents, with some dual occupancy rooms also available.

Carers look to maintain a good social atmosphere while encouraging residents in the pursuit of an active and fulfilling lifestyle, with all dietary needs met and evening events that relatives and loved ones can join in with. The activities coordinator offers a wide programme ranging from gardening either outdoors or in the greenhouse, knitting, sewing, craft, games and movement to music. Should residents require a little pampering, there is a hairdressers and chiropodist.

Pets are welcome in the home. Current pets include Snowy & Lilly the rabbits.

Shorter respite care requirements are also handled by skilled carers, while Sutton Manor is an excellent environment in which to feel at home throughout a retirement.

The care and support my dad has received since he became a resident has been nothing short of perfect. He is so loved and cared for, to such an extent I had no hesitation in choosing Sutton Manor for my mum's respite care. I have equally been looked after by all staff and the management whilst navigating
the solutions for my mum's care. All the staff are Angels and are so incredibly empathetic. It's become a second home for me!

The home is warm, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
The staff are all friendly and professional and do all they can to help the residents with whatever they need. There is a good range of activities to occupy the residents and help to pass the time.

Excellent home, everyone was very friendly and couldn't do enough for our uncle. He enjoyed every minute there. We couldn't praise the staff enough, everywhere was lovely and clean.

My Grandma was taken to Sutton Manor as part of a rehabilitation transfer so to say this was temporary, the staff have been absolutely amazing and we have all been treated like family. The manager has gone above and beyond to make us feel welcome and get the best doctor care, treating my daughter like
a family member. The manager was always there to just talk to and that we were OK. Both the seniors, have been outstanding too. Always keeping me updated on doctors' visits and doing their very best to get information when I couldn't. Nothing was too much to ask, always had time to speak to me when I could not visit. This is the same for another lady too. She comforted me when I was upset. The other care staff have done a fantastic job too. One particular lady always kept her company at night. Another one treated her like her own grandma and always made her laugh. There is a gentleman carer, he always made sure I had a cup of coffee and my daughter a juice. There are lots more staff who have done an amazing job too.

My mum chose to go to Sutton Manor Residential Home in July 2019 after my father was taken very poorly, she needed some respite care. Mum knew that she would have a comfortable bed in her own room, complete with ensuite. All her meals would be prepared and cooked and she had company. She could rest
and recuperate without pressure and and stress. She settled in quickly, making friends, joining in with the activities, felt happy and safe, she had the company she needed during a difficult time. The manager and all the staff were excellent, supportive, attentive and cared for Mum so we, as a family, had no worries about her. We were free to see her and were welcomed as part of the 'family'. Mum decided to remain at the home and has been happy there, which is so important. Although mum has dementia the care still is a priority for the team at the manor.

Following a leg injury, I spent five weeks here and I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed with the experience. The spacious dining room and huge lounge were made good use of throughout the day by residents of all abilities. A good many dementia patients, some very difficult to handle were treated
with much patience and affection. I saw only rare occasions when a staff member showed annoyance, even when struck or shouted at. Given the varying abilities of patients/residents, it is difficult to offer entertainment but groups are got together to play simple sports games (seated in a row) or flower arranging etc. Visiting specialists help too and the SA come each month to organise a hymn sing-song.
Food is plentiful, and flexibly timed around noon and five pm. Breakfast is provided as soon as a resident arrives. Drink rounds are surprisingly frequent and offer extras such as a milky drink, hot chocolate and biscuits on demand. Hygiene is emphasised and washing is returned on the next day.

My father, who suffers from dementia, has been a resident at this home since December 2023.He is now a lot happier than when he went in, eating better, drinking better, happier within himself and smiling virtually all the time. It is a pleasure to visit him, as I can see the positive difference in him.
The staff care for him and always comment on how nice he is. The manager is fantastic and she really cares for him, recently on a day trip, she decided that he would be cared for by her, how wonderful. In the last few weeks he has been on two trips out, one to Skegness at least two hours drive away and the other a trip down the River at Newark, so they chartered a boat. They bring in outside professionals to entertain the residents and invite the Salvation Army to attend as well, which again makes him happy as he was a regular attendee of the local Army Corps. They always report any falls to the Social Services, CQC and the family. A fantastic home, I couldn't ask for more.

A very rewarding experience from start to now. I find all members of staff, carers, cooks, any junior or senior staff, whatever work or status, a pleasure to be with.

My mum has stayed at Sutton Manor for rehabilitation following a fall where initially was at the hospital. The home is exceptional in the constant care they provide. The staff are extremely hardworking and are always cheerful and friendly. Residents were constantly stimulated with a great variety of
activities. The staff would always go above and beyond. The cleanliness of the home was outstanding and the food quality, choices, amounts along with continuous drinks throughout the day was excellent. The home felt very welcoming and comfortable. This home is amazing and is absolutely right to say second to none.

We get such enormous peace of mind from knowing that Mum is so well looked after at Sutton Manor. Every time we visit, we are reassured because the staff members are brilliant and it is clear that she is surrounded by people who genuinely care about her and make every effort to ensure her life is as
comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them and they are all so kind and patient.
Since she moved in, I have seen so many photos of my mum smiling and enjoying life at Sutton Manor and it is comforting to know that we made the best decision possible for her at a time when dementia meant that she was no longer able to live independently. From activities and outings to music and other entertainment, there is always plenty happening to bring a smile to the faces of residents.

My mum was transferred to Sutton Manor from hospital after her third stroke. We did not know what to expect, but the staff were welcoming and made my mum feel at ease. The staff go above and beyond and I cannot thank them enough for the care they gave my mum whilst she was there. At first, my mum did
not join in with the activities but with encouragement, she started to join in and really enjoyed it. When I visited she would tell me about what she had been up to and what entertainment they had come to the home. The meals were excellent and she was never disappointed. My mum has now moved to Assisted Living and it was a teary goodbye as she did not want to leave, so to get to this from saying I had dumped her is a credit to all the staff and how they take care of everyone. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Sutton Manor and all who work there.

Mother was transferred to Sutton Manor from hospital earlier this month where she was admitted after a fall at home and spending 9 hours overnight on the floor. At the age of 96 she was beginning to get very despondent. To add to her low mood just before she discharged from hospital her house was severely
damaged by a water leak, making her home unlivable. At this point she seemed to be giving up.
Within a couple of days in Sutton Manor her mood changed completely and she’s back to her normal self. After I visited her yesterday I can see why, the staff are brilliant and do everything they can to make the residents stay happy, enjoyable and above all a safe experience.
I can’t thank Sutton Manor and its staff enough for their excellent care.

The staff are kind to Mum, are gentle with her, hold her hand, take their time. This gives her comfort. She likes the food and her room is comfortable and always clean.

My mum has spent a few weeks in the care of Sutton Manor Care Home. Initially I was reluctant to agree to this, but given her level of disability and limited mobility, I realised that a care setting would be the most appropriate as they have the correct equipment to support non weight bearing patients.
Almost immediately I saw a change in my mum, she seemed brighter, happier and far more coherent than she had been previously. In fact, I will go as far as to say I don't believe I have seen my mum so content in decades. The care, support, company and activities are excellent, extra touches such as a salon, pub nights etc. add that extra depth of normality. I thank everyone at Sutton Manor from the bottom of my heart for the support they have given to my mum, it means so much to me to visit Mum and see her face glowing with happiness. The videos of her partaking in leisure activities shows how much she has changed during her time there. Sleeping and bathing facilities are great too!
