Sutton Manor Residential Home is a lovely welcoming home well suited to the needs of forty-five residents, with some dual occupancy rooms also available.
Carers look to maintain a good social atmosphere while encouraging residents in the pursuit of an active and fulfilling lifestyle, with all dietary needs met and evening events that relatives and loved ones can join in with. The activities coordinator offers a wide programme ranging from gardening either outdoors or in the greenhouse, knitting, sewing, craft, games and movement to music. Should residents require a little pampering, there is a hairdressers and chiropodist.
Pets are welcome in the home. Current pets include Snowy & Lilly the rabbits.
Shorter respite care requirements are also handled by skilled carers, while Sutton Manor is an excellent environment in which to feel at home throughout a retirement.

The staff are pleasant and nothing is too much trouble, they always answer my questions about Dad and are devoted to his needs, picking up early signs of distress and illness. I'd like to say a special thank you to everyone involved in keeping my families minds at ease, knowing he is being cared for properly and in good hands.
The staff were fantastic with my mum I can't fault anything. My mum was so happy with her time in the home and I would recommend this home to everyone.

I have had a long, 3 month, residential period in this care home, non-weight bearing on left leg due to a bad fall. The care, understanding and needs have been excellently met and I have no complaints, just gratitude. I am now on my feet with mobility aids and wheelchair, which I needed before the accident - due to long term mobility problems.
My father-in-law came to this care home quite ill, but within a short period of time picked up really well. I can really praise the staff for their caring and professional manner. They are excellent in every way. Thank you.

Residents are treated with care and are given all the help they need, nothing is too much trouble for any staff member whether cleaning, catering, nursing or personal care. Family and family are made very welcome and there are lots of activities for the residents to take part in if they wish. The reception lady was lovely and I really liked the garden area open to residents.

My husband's Uncle recently passed away and we had to go to the home as my husband was the executor of his Uncle's will to finalise details. We were met by the manager, initially, when we arrived. Prior to this, they kept us informed of Uncle's condition and were very caring and considerate. All of the staff we met when we went to sort out arrangements were lovely. Their compassion was obvious. The home appeared to have a sense of calm and is very well maintained. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care provider to anyone. Well done everyone - keep up the good work. You are all a credit to your profession.

From the moment my father was admitted, at 9.45pm (having waited for funding to be put in place) on a Monday evening. Bother he, myself and my brother were shown kindness, thoughtfulness and respect right up to the last moments of his life. The care that was shown was for my father true 'Peace of Mind' and for myself and brother. From the manageress, through all member's of staff, there was a warmth and feeling from the moment you stepped through the door, that if it can be, it will be, and it was. To say thank you can seem a small gesture, but when it comes from the heart, as it does from me, thank you for being you!!
The manager and staff at Sutton Manor go over and above simply basic care. They show such kindness and thoughtfulness. We cannot thank them highly enough for the care they are giving our relatives. From the manager to every level of the team, everyone was kind, thoughtful and professional. My father was 'end of life' so only there 10 days, yet he was so well cared for. As the end grew close the personal care given was outstanding. When Dad died (1.45 am) the team leader on duty was amazing. They helped my brother and I enormously and showed my dad the greatest of respect. A clean, happy, bright place to be in and visit. So, all in all, a care home that cares!
Mum enjoyed the many...
Mum enjoyed the many activities and I just can’t say enough about the excellent standard of care she was given.
Unfortunately, Mum’s health deteriorated after a few months and after the last admission to hospital we were told that End of Life care would be needed. The manager had no hesitation in Mum returning to Sutton Manor for them to undertake this. For the next few weeks, Mum was given the best possible care with comfort and dignity. Likewise, when the end came the dignity and compassion given to Mum and family could not have been better.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending Sutton Manor and a huge thank you to the manager and the team.
Thank you for the lovely review.
My wife's aunt went to Sutton Manor Residential Home initially for respite care. From day one all of the staff were fantastic so much so that she is giving up her house of 60 years to move in permanently that is something I never thought I'd see.

My 89 year old aunt was admitted to Sutton Manor Residential Home to recover from two falls. Her health, general well-being, contentment and feeling has improved to such an extent that herself and family have decided that Sutton Manor is her forever home.
Thank you all at Sutton Manor
