I find one home very friendly. All the staff too are friendly and when I see them doing their job they are so good with the residents. The food is good and plenty of things going in the day for the residents. We can come anytime of the day which is good. My mum has really settled with much improvement.

The care our mother received over 7 years has been excellent. The staff are very caring with love fun and laughter with the residents and visitors alike.

They organise trips out, entertainment and a variety of activities in the home. Our mother was very happy with her stay at the home. The staff were always supportive of the relatives too. Any queries would be addressed. The standard of cleanliness and decor were very good. When our mother died we were sadly not there but staff sat with her which has been a great comfort to us that she was alone.

Mum was a resident at the care home for 7 years. She was admitted because she had a history of falls, memory problems and macular degeneration. During her residence, Mum declined mentally, physically and was almost blind when she died. Throughout her stay, all staff were friendly, engaging, supportive and very professional. Mum’s decline over the last 10 years was difficult for the family, but the care home staff saw her as someone with an illness who may not always be herself. They ensured she had a dignified and meaningful quality of life. That included events, activities, regular one to one conversations and being with her when she died. All credit to the management team for their professional compassionate leadership and caring ethos.

The care home is well maintained and kept very clean. There are no unpleasant odours and the decoration has improved over the years. It is cheerful and offers a sense of place for many residents.

I cannot express how much I appreciate the highest standard of professionalism of all the members of staff I have encountered here during my short stay. I was made most welcome and made comfortable, the staff encounter daily adversity and complex needs of the residents and display cheerfulness, affection to all and each other. I was very impressed with the overall cleanliness and facilities, in fact, I thought I had come to a five-star establishment. The staff work hard to achieve this and cannot sing their praises enough, I would recommend this facility to anyone who has worries about moving into long or short term care here, very, very well done!

During my stay, I have been looked after and the carers have treated me with the utmost respect and I have enjoyed my stay here. The activities, such as bingo, quizzes and singers etc... Have been a lot of fun and really enjoyable.

I shall miss the friends I have made but look forward to being in my own home again.

It is very pleasant and cheerful and helpful. My room is very good. You get your hair dressed, feet done by a chiropodist, finger nails done and enjoy playing and joining in group quizzes etc.

This is my second time at Sutton Manor in the last year. As before, the staff are very kind, caring and considerate. The food is tasty, plentiful and the menu is varied. Activities are varied. I particularly like having my hair and nails done as I have these done when at home. I feel comfortable here as I am treated with dignity and respect.

Sutton Manor care home is a caring and pleasant place for my wife to stay. She is happy there, looking forward to her coming home, but she said if she had to stay in a home she would like it to be there.

Having only stayed in the home for a few days I can only say I would highly recommend the home to any of my family or friends.
I cannot fault the care and compassion of all the staff in all matters, no matter what time of day or night.

The care has been of the highest quality and if in the future I have to spend time in a home I only hope I could come back to this one.

The treatment that was given to my father was caring, generous, professional and very helpful to dad and me as a family when the end was near. The staff had got to know dad and had a rapport with him. He liked all the staff and had a laugh at times with members of the team. He was sometimes a stubborn old goat but they knew how to get the best out of him. I want so say that the manager was more than just a manager but a very caring member of this home.

I thank them for the care they gave to dad at the time he was here.

The care given to my dad was respectful and nothing was too much trouble. He had a good relationship with all the staff and I had no concerns about this being his new home now. They not only cared for him but were always a support for me as well.

Mum was placed in the care home in June 2016 after a very nasty fall at her home. She spent about 10 days in hospital, then she was placed in the care home. After 3 weeks in there, she came back home for a visit and to see how she would cope at home. She made it clear she wanted to stay in the care home because she felt safe there and they were looking after her. She fell in the care home and broke her hip and the staff got her to hospital straight away. They looked after her till she passed away in January. She always said she was looked after and she was happy there and so were we.
