Our experience of Wingates residential care home, was amazing over the 4 years. My dad was looked after in a very caring and professional manner.
I visited at different days and times and dad was always very well looked after.
The staff go the extra mile, you can feel the love they have and how nothing is too much trouble.
Towards the end of dad's life the staff couldn't do enough for us all, making a traumatic experience as comfortable as possible whilst giving my dad the respect and dignity he deserved.

A massive thank you xxx

My mum spent 2.5 years in Wingates Residential Home. I had looked at quite a few places for my mum to stay. When I first walked in my gut feeling was this is a nice place. My initial feelings were confirmed by observations over the next 2.5 years.Mum was looked after in a clean caring respectfull loving environment.

Our uncle spent the last 6 months of his life at the home and was more than happy with the care provided by the staff. We were encouraged to visit whenever we wished and everyone was always welcoming when we visited. All staff were very caring and would do as much as possible to assist despite being busy. Its a difficult time for anyone of advancing years to give up their own home after living independently however the staff do their best to promote independence where possible and to treat everyone as individuals. They ensured that we were contacted whenever his health needs changed so that we were always fully aware

My relative was a resident there for about five years they took great care of her I would recommend it to anyone she had a lovely ground floor en-suite room. She also enjoyed the lovely meals they provided. She enjoyed the activities and social events they arranged where the families of the residents were invited to attend

Our family have been very happy with our mother's care while she was in Wingates care home. The staff were very caring both to mum and the family, keeping us up to date with our mum's health care needs. They had activities for residents, and the home was spotless and very homely. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff; we were kept up to date with everything. Sadly, mum passed away, but mum and our family were supported with compassion, dignity and first-class care and for that we will be forever grateful.

All the staff are great with the residents. They all have an excellent relationship with them. They adapt the care to suit each residents needs, and provide a positive and cheerful environment all all times. The food is excellent and the home is always very clean and tidy. Visitors are always warmly welcomed. I am very happy knowing my father always receives the best care possible. Thank you for all your efforts, it means so much to my sister and I.

Thank you.

My mum was a resident in Wingates for almost two years. During that time we were very happy with the care and support provided by the friendly staff team. Home cooked meals and a homely atmosphere are standout features.

My husband moved to Wingates Residential Home in January, this year. What a wonderful home from home. Everyone in the team is professional, helpful, friendly and very caring, I couldn't have wished for a better place, and have peace of mind knowing that he's being looked after. The team treat everyone in a caring and respectful way, they are all Angels and I can't praise them enough.

Thank you to everyone, for making this very difficult transition bearable, it means the world to us both.

My Mother was a resident at Wingates for just under three years. I thank everyone for the care and love that they gave her. She was always treated with respect and dignity as her Dementia and mobility worsened. The staff, whatever their role, are highly professional and seem like a family. The premises are immaculately clean and totally accessible. Her medical needs were always looked after and the home kept us informed of any issues. As visitors, we always felt very welcome. Despite being some distance from her family we have never had any thoughts of moving her as there is no way that we could find anywhere else comparable to Wingates.

Mum was a resident at Wingates Residential Home for a relatively short time, she was adamant she didn't want to go into a care home but after a few days she started to refer to WRH as her 'other home'. Mum passed recently and we cannot thank WRH enough for making her last few weeks safe, comfortable and very dignified. At the end, all the staff went out of their way to help us spend time with Mum and nothing was too much trouble for them. All in all, WRH will be a lovely memory of a difficult time.

My dad was a resident of Wingates care home for only six weeks. He recently passed. The love care respect he received and us as a family were excellent. Nothing too much trouble. From the moment our Mum moved into Wingates she was made to feel very welcome, and we always found her to be very happy and well cared for. She had a lovely room and everywhere was very fresh and clean. She was always well turned out and the food was excellent. There was a good program of events and activities.
Mum was really happy and settled - the staff couldn't do enough and all residents seemed happy when we visited. Any medical issues were always dealt with efficiently and the family were always kept informed.
Earlier this month our Mum passed away having lived the last months of her life at Wingates. My sister and I were able to be with her for most of her last few days as she slipped peacefully away. The staff treated us all with kindness and respect. We are grateful to have found her such a wonderful environment in which to live out the last of her days.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wingates to anyone looking for an excellent residential home for their loved one.

My wife was very well looked after by the care home and the facilities were of a very high standard. The home and rooms were always kept clean and tidy. Residents are always kept clean and supported to a very high level of care. Loved ones are given a very high priority when medical problems inevitably occur and you are kept fully in the picture. The impression I gained was that my wife was being very well looked after by the care home and she was in safe hands.

My experience is of a very caring home, rooms are cleaned every day, some have en-suite facilities, residents are in clean clothing every day and food is cooked on premises where there are good smells emanating from the kitchen. All the staff are very caring from the cleaners up to the senior care staff, nothing is too much trouble. They arrange activities from karaoke, exercises, craft making film nights and some residents went out for meals occasionally.

I would not hesitate in recommending this residential home.

I searched a lot of care homes before I found Wingates and it is the best thing I have ever done. Mum is extremely happy here and I couldn't be more thankful. The carers and staff are so caring and wonderful with the residents, I can't praise them enough. As a nurse, I have visited many residential homes but I have never been to a home where the atmosphere is so calm and happy. Thank you so much for your support and care for both me and mum, you are all truly wonderful.

Both my mother and father have been in this care home and I can't rate it highly enough.
All the staff are very friendly and caring, you can see how passionate they are about what they do and it shows.
They treat my mother and father with dignity and respect, and they always know how to cheer them up if they are ever having a down day.
My father is always well dressed and comfy, and content with his surroundings.
The staff can't do enough for the residents, always trying to brighten their day, make them laugh or smile.
If there are any issues with my father I am always contacted straight away and kept up to date.
Wingates is a very clean, warm friendly place and my mother and father speak very highly of it.
They always arrange lots of activities for the residents and like to get them involved, from fancy dress to having a sing and a dance.

I have complete peace of mind knowing my mother and now my father are at Wingates and are safe and well. Fantastic care home.
