Cannot fault Wingates in any way. Staff are friendly and kind and do all they can to help in this difficult time, they really are amazing. The management team are hands-on and again, nothing is too much trouble.

My father has been a resident since October 2020. The care he has received has been excellent. The staff are like one big family and all residents are treated with the utmost care and respect. These are very trying times and they have all gone above and beyond for the residents. My father is happy and
settled and this is down to the efforts of the manager and her amazing staff. I cannot thank you all enough.

Overall, I was happy with the level of care my Dad received in the short time he was there before he passed away. As Dad was only a resident in the home for 5-weeks, it is a little difficult to be more specific, but I have little complaint.

I visited numerous residential homes and knew as soon as I entered that this was the right home for my mum and stepdad. The week before they were due to move in I was allowed access to both bedrooms and was able to prepare their rooms with clothing and personal effects to make their transition into
a residential home as comfortable as possible. Both the manager and staff assisted me in this process even down to moving furniture around. My parents went into Wingates in March 2019 and were taken great care of by all the staff. On special occasions e.g mothers day, fathers day and Christmas Eve I had lunch there with them and the food was excellent. I enjoyed my visits and quality time with my parents and also the company of other residents and families. I was updated at all times regarding the health and welfare of my parents and any concerns regarding their welfare was promptly brought to my attention. Thank you for all your loving care.

The Team at Wingates are exceptional. They have worked over and beyond especially in such a difficult year. I have found the communication between the home and our family has been open, honest and frequent which is so important in these hard times. The focus is always on the safety and professional

Sadly my father passed away in March, his comfort and dignity were always respected. The staff were very fond of him and it was a sad time for all the staff who took care of him. I would recommend Wingates to anyone who has a loved one who needs care.

My mother-in-law has been at Wingates for over two years and during this period has been treated with ultimate respect as an individual by all concerned. She is entirely happy in her present environment which gives us great peace of mind. During the recent virus problems, the staff have done their utmost
to look after residents as far as possible. Yes, they have had sad losses, but are now fully clear. They are still taking much caution but we are now able to see our loved one face to face whilst very much socially distancing of course for short periods of time. Both my wife and I thank them from the bottom of our hearts. Couldn’t have wished for better.

My mother has lived at the home for over seven years. During this time, the staff have been brilliant with her and have understood her needs. I can't thank the staff enough, during the worst of Covid-19. They handled the situation with care and had the virus under control, due to their expertise.
The
staff treat our family like friends and my mum like a family member. Any queries that we have raised, have always been dealt with efficiently.
The carers are always vigilant to Mum's medical care.
The staff are always developing new ideas to improve the lives of the residents.

Wingates Residential Home treated my mother with the utmost care, respect and above all love, from the moment she entered the building. The owners and staff were extremely professional, but also friendly and approachable. I would recommend this residential home to anybody who wants their loved one to

My husband was happy and content there, the food was ok and you were asked if you wanted more. The staff and management welcomed us and interacted well with my husband making sure he had no problems with understanding. I had a peaceful ten days respite, knowing he was content.

As this was the first time my father had gone into residential care, the family were obviously anxious and worried he would be OK. This immediately disappeared on meeting the staff as he was made to feel so very welcome on arrival. The staff were so accommodating at all times, and very helpful ...nothing
was too much trouble, in fact, my father thought he was staying in a hotel, which was praise indeed!

I visited Wingates Residential Home to assess it and was shown around by a lady, who showed both patience and pride in doing this. My impression was positive.


My Husband went into Wingates Residential Home in need of urgent respite. He was welcomed, made comfortable, and his needs, medications and

preferences noted and followed.
He had a lovely bedroom with facilities, even changing the bed type to help with his mobility.


His clothes were changed and washed daily, personal care was good, the home very clean and the food and catering staff good. He was happy and comfortable there.
There were some good quizzes, entertainment and TV available, also regular drinks rounds and pieces of fruit during the day.


The staff were very caring, considerate, polite and professional, regularly going above and beyond the call of duty.
They also were very supportive to the relatives. The end of life care, the sensitivity, compassion and professional courtesy shown to the family was outstanding.


I have no hesitation in recommending Wingates Residential Home.

My Mother is almost 93 and has just entered Wingates. She has been so warmly welcomed and made to feel "at home" by the staff. Wingates has a particularly pleasant and comfortable atmosphere for mum. She feels the staff are her extended family. I recently visited from the USA where I live and from knowing
nothing of the staff or the home, I now feel far more comfortable with my family's tough decision to have mum live in care rather than by herself. As time progressed, she was less able to take care of her own needs for support in daily challenges but at Wingates, she feels at home and helped in just the right measure. I recommend Wingates most because of the caring and helpful staff. They have made her transition easier and now she feels more secure. They have been so kind and helpful!
I could mention individuals on the staff, but I won't they have all been kind and helpful.

My mother has been a resident here for almost 2 years during which time she has become very settled and happy. I have confidence in the staff who treat her sympathetically and with a friendly, caring manner. She is kept clean and tidy and encouraged to take an interest in her appearance. There is regular
entertainment which in particular gives my mum a lift as she enjoys music and singing. I feel comfortable that she is in good hands and I would not hesitate to recommend this care home.

My Aunt has been a resident at this care home for about 4 months after struggling to care for herself at home and the advancement of Alzheimer's.
Since her arrival, she has settled remarkably quickly in a lovely room and with good caring attentive staff.
The home is well kept, very clean and all
the staff and management are friendly and approachable.
The food is very good and prepared fresh on the premises.
There are games and activities on offer throughout the week.
When visiting, the home is always welcoming and feels relaxed and inviting.
My Aunt always looks very well cared for and content in her surroundings and with her friends.

Due to a family crisis we urgently needed respite for my 94-year-old father, Wingates was chosen mainly due to location, but what a great choice it has turned out to be. Within half an hour of a phone call, dad was welcomed into the home, and it is a home in every sense of the word
My father had never
been in a care home, was missing mum who was in the hospital and who in 68 years he has not been apart from.
The staff have been so caring, professional and all done with no fanfare, medication was sorted, time was taken to settle dad in, nothing has been too much trouble.
He is still in the home and my mum, brother and myself have peace of mind knowing how well he is being looked after.


The whole atmosphere of Wingates is welcoming and the staff cannot do enough to ensure residents and families are cared for and supported. All is done with patience and humour.

I visited Wingates Residential Home unannounced with a view to arranging some care for my dad. I arrived to find a warm and welcoming staff who showed me around the premises and offered me a choice of rooms. It pleased me to see plenty of caring staff going about their business, all greeted me with
a friendly smile. I felt that this was the right place to bring my dad for a week's care. Nothing was too much trouble for the Senior Carer, Dan, who continued to show me around explaining the daily routine. Even the chef came to speak to me and asked if there would be any dietary preferences. I felt there was a genuine friendly and caring and calm atmosphere about the home.


During his week's stay, my dad has been treated with total care and respect. On the day of his arrival, we went to his room and the staff brought us all a cup of tea while he settled in, and staff arranged for him to have his lunch in the room. I have no hesitations in recommending this comfortable home.

My father came to Wingates Residential Home at the end of October 2016 after spending some respite time in two other homes and previously receiving care at home as his mobility had declined. Since moving into Wingates dad has settled in well and to the routine of the home. I have found the management
and staff very helpful and approachable and nothing is too much trouble for them even on occasion providing meals for family members. I would highly recommend Wingates Residential Home as a safe and secure home for an elderly person to stay in.
