My sister and her husband are receiving excellent care and attention by a friendly staff. Not sure whether this happens - but could all activities be announced at meal times to draw attention to what's on? I know there are notices but p[eople in wheelchairs can't always see them. It's good to have activities and important to be encouraged to take part.

My mother had a short respite stay with the view to staying but regretfully it did not work out for her. The staff were very friendly and helpful and tried very hard to make her comfortable. If circumstances change I would certainly consider trying the service again.

I have experience of this home from when my mother spent 2 and a half years there and was delighted that they could take my aunty for respite.

The facilities are second to none, tip top condition, smart and clean. The staff are outstanding and go out of their way to make the residents and visitors part of their community. Time of day and smiles all round every time you visit - excellent!

After viewing Millfield we felt that it was the right place for our mum. Having waited for a vacancy, we have not been disappointed.

Mum has been treated with respect and had her dignity restored, she is much more engaged and is actually enjoying her days, rather than waiting for them to pass. The staff are without doubt very caring and respectful and have met needs mum didn't realise she had. In the short time we have been here I have observed many wonderful interactions between staff and residents, who are treated as adults. This is a care home that should be a model to all others.

We initially found Millfield online plus we had a recommendation from a friend. We could not be happier with the facility and how they take care of our mother. The management and staff do a wonderful job and the rooms and public areas are clean and maintained to a very high standard. We would highly recommend Millfield to anyone without reservation.

Cannot recommend this home highly enough A*. All residents treated as individuals and people. The staff really do care and not only care they respect all the residents. They cannot do enough and not only for the residents but also for the family and visitors- if only all care homes were like this one.

The home is exceedingly clean and it is noticeable that there are no bad odours that sometimes hits you as you enter other care homes. The entire environment is clean, tidy and welcoming. The staff are really friendly and obviously love the work they do in the day to day care of the residents. At meal times there are choices and even if my mum doesn't like what is on offer on the standard menu she is offered an alternative. There is no "take it or leave it" attitude. The staff are a joy and I know mum is being cared fro in the best care home.
