The home itself is beautiful and always looks fresh and well decorated. It is also always clean and without odours. There is a varied and interesting activities plan. My grandad doesn't always get involved but likes to watch what is going on. I would highly recommend Alsley to anyone looking for care for their loved one.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we truly love having your grandad here with us at Alsley Lodge.
What makes Alsley Lodge truly special though is the level of care given to residents by the staff. Residents are treated like family, nothing is too much trouble and the care that they receive is quite simply exceptional.
Every time I visit my Dad I thank god we found Alsley Lodge, it really is a special place with a unique team of dedicated staff.
Thank you so much for your kind words, it is a true pleasure to support your Dad and have you all as part of our Alsley Lodge family
We are regularly kept informed of how she is and what is needed to maintain her care and health.
Mum is treated with friendship, support and dignity at all times ands thrives in having many people to speak to.
Thank you for your kind words, your mum is truly one of a kind who brings us all such joy.
We have been delighted with the care our mum has received in Alsley Lodge. The staff have looked after her as if she was a member of their family and we couldn't have asked for more.
Thank you so much for your kind words, it is a true pleasure to support your mum, she brings a smile to us all.
I feel my mother has been treated with care, respect and massive empathy for her varying mental and physical issues. Myself and my family have utmost confidence in the staff of Alsley Lodge in their care for my/our mother!
Thank you for your kinds words, we all love having your mother and you as a family as part of our Alsley Lodge family.
I'm so grateful that I know my Mum is in safe, kind hands. Thank you all at Alsley.
Thank you for your kind words, it is a true pleasure looking after Mum.
I heard about Alsley Lodge from my sister in law who explained how the Home didn't "feel" like a traditional "care home" and when my Dad was in need of some respite care in May 2025, I contacted Amy (the Registered Manager) to see if any rooms were available for him as a transition prior to him returning to independent living.
From the day he arrived, when Louise demonstrated her caring nature by bringing a wheelchair out to the car for him and made him (and I) feel so relaxed and welcome, to seven months later when Dad is now a firmly established member of Alsley Lodge, he couldn't have been looked after any better. He's loved the company, the trips out, the staff and the daily activities. He moved from respite into his own room in June and he looks younger now, than he did when he moved in there. Thank you to everyone involved in looking after Dad, you have changed the latter years of his life and for that, I am truly grateful. You've given me my Dad back!
Amy
I think that the service is A1 and the home couldn't be better.
Thank you for your lovely feedback JW! It is a true pleasure, you are an A1 resident
The atmosphere at Alsley Lodge is always cheerful, the staff are compassionate and professional, and genuine care is always given. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and any medical needs are dealt with promptly whilst keeping me informed. We can visit Mum at any time of the day and are always made to feel welcome even at their busiest times.
The activities team are excellent and there are always several activities on each day and trips out which Mum thoroughly enjoys. Mum has her hair done every week in their hair salon which enjoys.
Since Mum has been at Alsley Lodge we have had peace of mind as we know she is getting excellent care 24hrs a day and are happy that she has settled in so well. We honestly cannot fault them.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. It truly means a great deal to all of us at Alsley Lodge to hear how happy you and your family are with the care your mum is receiving. We're delighted to know she has settled in well and is enjoying the activities, outings, and her weekly...
My time here has been very good, also the staff very helpful, the food is extremely good. I am an 88-year-old lady and have lived on my own and cooked for myself.
Thank you, as always it is a true joy to have you at Alsley Lodge.
Very happy friendly staff doing all they can to help and please. Very well pleased with everything.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It is a please looking after your dear friend.
Cannot fault the home. Outstanding staff. Very good nutritious food. Excellent past time activities. Very clean and comfortable.
Thank you for your kind words it is much appreciated. It is a true pleasure to support your mum. From Amy and all the Alsley Lodge Team
Ashley Lodge is, without doubt, the best care home she has ever been in, there are no smells, the food is excellent, but best of all the staff are outstanding and nothing is too much trouble.
My only disappointment is I wish we had come here sooner.
Thank you for your kind words Colin, we are so pleased you are happy with the support Mum is receiving. It is a true pleasure for myself and the team.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with Alsley Lodge and the staff.
Thank you for your kind words and observations, it is greatly appreciated.
I took the decision to move Mum further away from us as we couldn't find a home with the same care locally to us. My father had been here previously on respite and I was impressed by the level of care.
The food is home-cooked and of an excellent standard. I have sampled it myself! There are lots of activities for the residents and great members of staff who bring lots of stimulating events.
After a short time, we have a friendly approach with the staff and residents.
The most important is that my mum is being looked after and now, after three years in another home, this has happened. Any issues with my mum are dealt with promptly and professionally and with communication with myself.
Thank you to all the staff in Alsley Lodge.
Thank you for your kind words Chris, it is a pleasure to support your mum and have you all as part of the Alsley Lodge community.
I am so pleased we chose Alsley Lodge for my dad. He has been at the home for 5 months and we couldn't be happier with the care he receives. The home has a lovely feel to it, everyone is so friendly and it feels more like a big family. All of the staff care so well for the residents and work very hard as a dedicated team, always with a smile on their faces. I have always felt welcomed by everyone and feel at ease talking with the staff about any issues. They know and understand my dad very well and have dealt with any medical needs efficiently. The home is well managed and there have been lots of internal improvements recently which add to the homely feel. What I feel has really benefitted my dad are the daily activities and outings they organise for those that are able. The activities coordinators do a wonderful job - he is regularly out and about on organised trips and there is something on every day (and regular entertainment) which I feel has improved his overall health and well-being.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, it is always nice to hear families are happy with the care and support we provide to their loved ones. we love supporting your dad he is a true gent with a bright smile. I will pass on your lovely feedback to the team.
Me and my brother brought her home for Christmas. The staff made sure she had clothes packed and her medication, which was very helpful.
The staff are always very helpful and courteous to myself and my mother. I am very happy that she is being looked after.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, your mum is such an amazing lady who is always at hand to help others around her and likes to help keep everywhere tidy by collecting dishes which is always a bonus! Thanks again.
We as a family are so happy with how she is being cared for and how well she has settled in.
They provide wonderful home-cooked meals with a varied menu in a lovely dining room.
The staff are fantastic, they are so very kind, patient and caring to all the residents.
They put every effort into making each day so enjoyable with a wide range of activities and lots of entertainment and fun.
Mum has made lots of friends and it’s so reassuring for us to see how happy she is and know she is safe.
We really cannot fault Alsley Lodge.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It is a pleasure to look after your mum, she brings such a smile to all of us with her singing and dancing!
I previously looked after my mum in her own home but this became increasingly difficult due to progressing dementia. I looked at several care homes before I found Alsley Lodge Care Home. We needed respite for a family holiday, which we were fortunate to book at relatively short notice. As this approached, it became apparent this needed to be a permanent arrangement and the Alsley Lodge team made a difficult time as good as it could be. The care has been outstanding. Her room is modern and fresh with an en-suite wet room. She enjoys getting her hair done every week, she doesn't participate in many activities but there are a variety of things on offer. The attention to detail is excellent, e.g. mouth care. Her mobility isn't good but we are able to put her in a wheelchair and take her to the coffee shop across the road. She enjoys the food which is nutritious and varied. Everyone is friendly and I know it is the best place for my lovely mum, she is very content.
Thank you for your kind words, Laura, it is a pleasure to look after your mum and we are grateful to be able to support her and you as a family. Thank you, Amy.
The team at Alsley Lodge are caring, considerate and extremely competent. I felt my grandad's needs were always considered. I can't thank the team enough for their care, from the manager to the cleaner, they all helped with what was a sad and emotional time for myself and my family. I would highly recommend Alsley Lodge to anyone looking for a care home.
