Mum moved into Alsley Lodge in 2011 after visiting friends that were residents and seeing the care they received. The standard of care and the food is first class. When visiting mum there's always a welcome with a smile from the staff with an update. The rooms are brightly decorated and cleaned to the highest standard.
Mum has been a resident for over 3 years and is treated with the utmost respect and compassion.
We are always made very welcome. The residents are treated like family and the staff display a high level of caring and patience.
Mum is prone to falling and recently broke her femur. I was relieved when she left the hospital because I knew she would receive much better care back at Alsley Lodge. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the staff Mum is now back on her feet and doing well.
Everything has been done to prevent Mum falling again. They bought special detectors to alert staff in the night if Mum was trying to get out of bed - Mum has dementia so does not remember instructions and does not realise she has a call button by her bed.
The food is excellent and reflects the type of meals that the residents would have cooked for themselves.
I know that I do not need to worry about Mum when I leave her and that knowledge is priceless. I would recommend Alsley Lodge to anyone.
She is exceptionally well looked after by all the staff.
Alsley Lodge create a homely atmosphere where residents feel loved and cared for.
The home is warm and welcoming to family, friends and visitors alike.
If you are looking for somewhere for your loved one then go and visit Alsley Lodge.
All the staff are very caring and supportive to all the residents. The care they have provided to my friend has been excellent especially through some trying times. She was very poorly when she went in and they built her strength back up and have got her up and about again. The Management team lead from the top and it shows through all their staff.
We looked at many homes in the vicinity and finally chose Alsley Lodge.
From the moment the Manageress welcomed us we knew this was the place to look after her.
The building itself is bright airy well maintained and clean.
The staff are courteous, efficient and professional.
The residents look well cared for, clothing is kept clean, personal hygiene and grooming needs are well met.
Activities, gentle exercise, entertainment and communal dining is actively encouraged.
From being totally immobile when entering the home the change in mother is remarkable.
After only one month she is back on her feet and ready to return home.
This is all due to the care and encouragement of a great team of carers.
They have succeeded where other health professionals have failed.
A big thank you to all the staff at Alsley Lodge.
