The care and support provided to me and my husband is simply wonderful.
Thank you, it is an honour to support yourself and your husband.
Highly confident that the staff at Alsley Lodge provide a superb service for residents. The facilities, activities and level of care are excellent, I would say to anyone placing a relative here that they would be highly pleased.
Thank you for your kind words, it is nothing short of a pleasure looking after your father.
Having moved my sister into Alsley Lodge in March 2022 for respite and then permanently later in the year, she was made welcome. With the aid of sections of the NHS, problems are solved. Sadly she has suffered a relapse but every member of staff without exemption has rallied around and made every effort to get her back on track. Given the level of care shown in the past, have every confidence they will achieve this.
Thank you for your kind words, Graham, it is a pleasure to support your sister.
I visited my mother today it was the Christmas party, the staff were setting up the lounge and the artist was preparing his speakers and tapes, we took Mum up to the lounge and got her seated at a table and the show started with tombola, drinks, party food and party poppers. The residents, staff and families, old and young, had a wonderful time joining in with the singer. It was a great party atmosphere thanks to all concerned.
Thank you for your kind words, Stephen. It is an absolute pleasure to support your lovely mum. Kind Regards, Hayley.
My mother-in-law has only been in Ashley lodge for two weeks. She is now looking at long-term care and I'm so glad we picked Ashley Lodge. It's a lovely friendly place, staff are always happy which in turn makes residents look happy. The difference in my mother-in-law in the short space of time is giving us as a family peace of mind knowing she's been well cared for at 88 years young. She's looking happier and laughing with staff and residents which we haven't seen in almost 5years of living at home alone after losing my beautiful father-in-law who she misses so much. But now unable to be cared for at home I couldn't have picked a nicer caring team. We visit any time of the day and always welcome I couldn't be more happier and all the family feel the same. Thank you for taking care of my mother-in-law in the lovely way you are and hopefully, she's as happy as she looks each day. Thank you all.
Thank you for your kind words.
It is an absolute pleasure to be able to support your wonderful mother-in-law, it is a joy to see her making new friends and how happy and relaxed she seems to be in Alsley Lodge.
The staff are very approachable and offer a very good level of care and support to the residents. The quality and variety of home-cooked, locally produced food is excellent. My mum has settled in well and is treated with respect and dignity. The management are constantly looking for improvements.
Thank you for your kind comments. It is a privilege and a pleasure to care for your lovely mum.
The Home is always clean and tidy and well maintained. Staff are friendly and accommodating. I like that Facebook is used to post photos of the residents so I can see what activities they have been doing and it gives me something to talk about when I visit my mum. I know my mum enjoys having her hair done weekly and also her nails occasionally. I would recommend this Care Home.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is an absolute pleasure to support your wonderful mum.
I think my mother is well cared for and the staff all seem to work as a team and enjoy what they do, carry on with the good work. I just hope that the new manager stays as there has been a rapid turnaround in the past with no explanations.
Thank you for your kind comments. It's a pleasure to support your lovely mum.
Alsley Lodge has been a perfect choice of care home for my mother. Mum’s care needs have increased greatly in the last six months and these are being met excellently by management and staff at the home. I am kept fully informed of any issues concerning her and how they are being dealt with. This is really important and most definitely gives me peace of mind, knowing that she is in kind and capable hands. Mum is now socialising more and is really enjoying the food. Different social activities and entertainment are offered to suit all residents' needs should they wish to partake. Staff and management are always welcoming and the home has a pleasant and friendly atmosphere.
Dear Kathleen, thank you so much for your kind words.
My 93-year-old mum lives with us and has just returned from a short respite break at Alsley Lodge. She has never been one to socialise much but she was gently encouraged to mix and engage in activities and she absolutely loved her time there! She has returned home happy and relaxed telling me how lovely it was and showing me the photos on Facebook from when the therapy animals visited. There is a happy environment thanks to the kind, caring, responsive, considerate staff who make residents feel safe, welcome, and valued. The home is clean, bright, cheerful, well maintained, and welcoming but most noticeably it does not smell like an old people's home! Mum's room was spacious and modern with a lovely garden view and a well-appointed en suite shower room. Mum enjoyed the food which was tasty, varied and plentiful, well prepared, and presented. She says she cannot find any fault with her stay at Alsley Lodge (and coming from my mum that's really something!) She will be back!
Dear Julie, it was a pleasure to assist your mum. Hope to see her again soon.
My mum has settled in well. Well cared for and looked after. Mum enjoys the meals and the company.
My mother went into Alsley Lodge almost 6 months ago and I have been surprised about how happy she is! I was dreading putting her into care but she loves being there. She loves the food and the activities. Her room is very pleasant and the staff are brilliant.
Hi Norrie, thank you so much for the kind words. I will feed this back to the staff. Kind regards.
Staff are very helpful and caring and anything we are worried about they are there to help. We are very happy with Mum's care.
Hi Dolly, we are so grateful for this review, I will pass this on to the staff. Kind regards, Lynette.
Staff are very good and caring. My mother has been here for nearly 3 years and is nearly 101. Exceptional care in every way.
Thank you for your kind words. I will pass your kind words over to the staff. Regards, Lynette.
Everything about Alsley Lodge is excellent. The staff are so caring. Nothing is too much trouble to them. Our mother has been in Alsley Lodge for 2 years now and myself and our family cannot praise them enough.
Thank you so kindly, I will tell the staff of this wonderful review. Kind regards, Lynette.
Just to say thank you to all the staff for the excellent care that mum has received, over the recent months. Mum also says thank you for the superb food and entertainment you have given her, she loves the new Salon.
Dear Norman, I would like to thank you for your kind words and will feed this back to the staff. Regards.
The activities are so good, they do something every day. Really is the best decision I made for Mum's safety, care and wellbeing.
Thank everyone at Ashley Lodge.
My husband has stayed at Alsley Lodge numerous times for respite and every time returned home happy, content, clean and well cared for. The time has now come for him to receive full-time care as I can no longer manage at home. This is a difficult decision but helped immensely by the fact that he has a place in such an excellent home. I would not hesitate to recommend Alsley Lodge. I know he is being well cared for by an excellent team.
My father has been a resident of Alsley Lodge since January 2020 and I have to say I have nothing but praise and admiration for all the staff and the premises themselves. We had looked at a few other care homes but none came close to what we found at Alsley Lodge; the welcome and warmth from all the carers was evident at our first visit and hasn't diminished since. Obviously we were concerned as to whether our father would take to moving into a care facility but within days he was openly telling us that he would be silly to go back home and look after himself. Everyone is so friendly and understanding and they cannot do enough for the residents.
Mum was taken in after dislocating her shoulder in a fall. She suffers from dementia. The care she has received in difficult COVID-19 circumstances has been excellent. The staff we have spoken to have been friendly and supportive and always available to update us on mum's case. Given the COVID-19 situation, it is good to able to visit in a secure, safe, sanitised environment with care taken at all times. It is difficult to give a review of all facilities as due to COVID-19 we have not been able to see everything but I believe my review to be accurate and will update in post-COVID-19 times. All the staff and residents are regularly tested for COVID-19.
