A pleasant professionally managed care home, my mum has been a resident for five weeks having previously been in for respite. All the staff are lovely, very caring. It has been an emotional rollercoaster getting mum settled but all the staff have been so helpful and caring and very patient. The staff take a personal interest in the residents and treat them with respect maintaining their dignity. Nothing is too much trouble and they offer very good advice.
My mother-in-law has been going to Alsey Lodge for daycare for the last few months. After initially being apprehensive about going she now looks forward to her day out. In fact, I would say it‘s the highlight of her week.
After being in hospital for six weeks the family realised that mum was not ready for her own home so she went to Alsley Lodge for a period of time. She had a lovely room well laid out and tastefully decorated. The staff were always pleasant and available to help her at all times, she had a very pleasant period of time there and it gave her a different look on being in care. She has now been able to go home but I know that when the time comes my mother will have no hesitation in going back there. The atmosphere is a friendly caring place and it's just like one big happy family.
Always find Alsley Lodge perfect for our needs. My Aunt is treated very well and with dignity. Standards remain high at all times. Thank you to all staff and management.
After 8 years at Alsley Lodge my mum passed away surrounded by the Alsley ‘family’. I cannot speak highly enough of the loving care the staff gave to Mum during all her time with them but most particularly in her last few difficult months. And in addition they cared for us, her family, and helped get us through. I really don’t know what we would have done without them. Everything they say in their website video is true. It’s a real home from home with amazing staff.
In her last days, the care Mum received was exceptional. I have a nursing background and I can not fault how Mum was cared for. Her pain was well controlled with the home liaising very regularly with her GP. She always felt safe and secure and I never had any worries about the care Mum received. I have no hesitation in recommending Alsley Lodge.
My uncle appears to be looked after well. He is always clean, smart, well-fed etc. His room is lovely and spotless. Staff are very pleasant and the manager extremely helpful. My uncle has been on a couple of trips and enjoyed activities, especially outside activities when the weather is good - he mentioned 'football'.
The home is made to feel like the residents' home and the residents are all well looked after. My mother has been a resident for over five years and I have never had cause to complain. If you are looking for a home for your loved one then look no further.
I cannot recommend this wonderful care home enough. All staff are both professional and caring, always ready to have a chat and an offer of tea every time you visit. The home is bright and cheerful and very clean. I know my Dad is well cared for and very happy in his surroundings. Thanks to all the staff I cannot thank them enough.
Staff are kind and caring and helpful. The manager is very helpful to relatives.
Visitors are always welcomed here any time of day.
There are plenty of interesting activities here. I love visiting.
I am glad we found this care home. It came on recommendation from an ex-resident.
Activities are performed daily and range from Bingo, hair & nails, keep fit, jigsaws, trips out, cheese and wine afternoons alongside the entertainers brought in to perform and entertain, thus stimulating my father in law's general physical well being and mental health. The staff care for my FIL but also support us. Fab.
Since being at Alsley all I can say is how impressed all of our family have been at the care and kindness given not only to my dad but also to his family members during what has been a most traumatic time in our lives. Food, care and entertainment provided have all been second to none. Thank you to all of the staff there.
My husband stayed at Alsley Lodge Care Home for respite care on 2 short occasions during 2018. I have to say that I was overwhelmed by the kindness shown to both of us by the staff. Staff reported that he settled well and was calm and happy during his time there. He slept and ate well. When I picked him up, he was obviously well cared for, clean and tidily dressed.
My mother is well cared for. She has a nice bedroom. The staff make you feel welcome each time you visit. They have a good choice of activities.
My dad is well cared for the staff are always kind and friendly. It has a happy atmosphere when I visit. The home is always clean and smells nice. My dad enjoys the meals and eats well.
Alsley Lodge is perfect for my husband. He's so happy here, he doesn't want to come home on his weekly visit.
Would definitely recommend this care home.
Her room is nice and bright, clean and nicely decorated. She is eating well and enjoys interacting with the staff! She has been on a few trips, including a trip on a barge along the canal. I would like to thank the manager and her staff for making sure my mum is happy in her new home.
I can't recommend the manager and her team enough for increasing dad's quality of life, he has dementia. They have been nothing but caring and respectful toward my dad. The activity co-ordinator arranged for a memorable trip to Bolton FC for dad. He is a passionate football fan. The manager and her team are always at the end of the phone if you need to talk and they involve you in every aspect of his care. I know he is in very good hands which has taken away alot of worry from myself and my family. Thank you.
Obviously good staff at the helm as the ship appears to run very well. My father even made the Xmas lunch outing, even though he was only there for respite. Our family highly recommend this lovely Care Home. Just wish there were more respite beds as they always seem to be booked up and a waiting list! Sign of an excellent Place!
Thank you to all the staff.
