I came to visit my auntie and I can honestly say the home is so beautiful, the new garden is a more than welcome addition. The staff were welcoming, warm and friendly, and it was nice to see the manager helping a resident. Great job, team.

Kind caring environment.
Respectful of Dad's needs and illness - vascular dementia is a mostly cruel illness - we appreciate everything Willersley House does for all family members/friends.

Staff at Willersley are kind and caring and know the residents, always referring to them by name. While I accept that my mum always cooked with fresh ingredients when she lived at home, she is on the whole very disappointed by the standard/variety of food at meal times. The soup and sandwich menu offering
causes upset along with meat - chicken, beef, fish etc. and some of the vegetable servings. Staffing in the kitchen also appears to be a problem.

Overall my experience visiting my mum, since she moved into Willersley House in March, has been excellent. The care, support and staff are first class making her feel really supported and safe. Their friendliness has had a huge impact on Mum's settling in. Plenty of activities to keep her amused and
occupied. She initially had a few issues with food as she is a vegetarian but after a few discussions, she is content with the food. A very well-run home.

Visited my mother-in-law twice since she recently moved into Willersley House. Pleased to see a friendly welcome from the staff on duty who greeted my mother-in-law by name. A programme of activities was available throughout the week for residents to attend if they wish, I didn't witness any myself.
Cleanliness appeared good, can't comment on the food. My mother-in-law reports that the staff are lovely and the food is good. She appreciates the religious services held regularly at the home.

My aunt moved to Willersley House from another care home where we had issues with the standard of care being provided. The staff at Willersley were brilliant in helping us make the move as quickly as possible. Now my aunt has settled in at Willersley she is so much happier. She loves the food and all
the activities which she enjoys. The standard of care being provided is excellent.

Willersley House Care Home is the best there could be. The staff are wonderful and attentive to the residents. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They treat everyone with dignity and respect. Family and friends can visit any time and are able to have privacy either in the quiet room or in the resident's
own room. I would highly recommend the care home to anyone who is thinking of making that next step.

Willersley is a lovely home. There is so much love and care shared. The staff are extremely caring and the residents, too, are caring and concerned for each other.
My mum enjoys the activities and the services.
The food is a hit too, she really enjoys it - eating things she's not eaten for years!

A beautiful home, everyone is very friendly, very clean, no smells. A choice of two meals, bedrooms are excellently thought out for residents, a lovely playroom; entertainment twice a day every day, great facilities - beautiful grounds. No strict visiting. Management and staff are always available.
All residents are very happy. A home from home.

Willersley House is a lovely place to live. My mum has been there a month now and has settled in so well. She feels very much at home in her room, surrounded by furniture she was able to take with her. She looks forward to the meals and is full of praise for her carers, who treat her with respect, kindness
and warmth. Visitors are always welcome and never made to feel they're getting in the way. There are lots of daily activities on offer for residents to join in with if they wish, and there's always someone around with time for a chat - no one need feel lonely there! The rooms are bright and clean, and the atmosphere generally is that of a big happy family. I am so pleased we found Willersley.

Mum was in Willersley House for two years and then Covid hit. She really enjoyed the home, especially the activities and going out. With Covid, she was unhappy so came to live with me. However, after two years she wanted to return to the home which she did in October 2021. Unfortunately, four or more
of the senior team had left and so did the chef. Standards were affected but now have been restored to their exceptionally high standard. Credit to all staff.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.073)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.073) out of 10 for Willersley House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.4 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.373 for Willersley House is calculated as follows: ( (39 Excellents x 5) + (38 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.373
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.7 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Willersley House is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 34 registered maximum number of service users is 6.8, which has been reached with 7 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
