My mother in law has been extremely well cared for at Willersley House for well over a year now and has a really good quality of life. She is very well liked by the staff and has really started to come out of her shell and enjoy all the fun activities on offer. Very recently she has been on day trips out to local parks and coffee shops with other residents. They have many photographs in well-organised files showing the family what a great time she is having. I cannot thank them all enough for all the great work that they are doing.
Hi there, Your Mother in law is an absolute pleasure to care for. She has such a fantastic sense of humour which has all my staff in stitches on a daily basis. Thank you so much for your lovely response.
My granny has come on in leaps and bounds since being in Willersley House. She was pretty difficult to look after when she first arrived however with the help of the team, she now enjoys day trips to local parks and coffee shops, and joins in the activities with the other residents which would've seemed impossible when she first arrived. She has a great quality of life at Willersley House and she's always making everyone laugh with her strong personality and sense of humour, which must mean she's having a good time. Thank you for looking after her so well.
Hi there, Your Grandma is such a pleasure to care for. She has all my staff in stitches on a daily basis and has an absolutely fantastic sense of humour. The progress she has made is incredible and has settled into Willersley House tremendously.
My nana has been in Willersley House for nearly 3 months. She came directly from hospital following a serious illness and was very poorly. Within a few weeks, the staff at WH had worked their magic. She started putting on weight, her pressure sores were disappearing, she was clean, comfortable and so very well cared for. 3 months down the line she looks amazing. The staff here are just brilliant I can't praise them enough. To be able to visit my nana (this weekend I've even bought her great grandchildren up) and see her relaxed and happy after so many years of struggling at home is a life changer. She can enjoy family visits without any stress. All the staff at WH should be commended for the time, effort and care they show to the residents (the carers, the cleaners, the chef and the catering team, the chaplain, the social coordinator, the therapists, office staff, managers, the hairdresser....the list goes on). Thank you all for taking such good care of my nana, she is very precious to us.
Thank you, Dianne, our staff are thrilled with this review. A few kind words can really make our staff's day and to know that they have made a difference to your nana's life is amazing. It makes me so proud as the home manager to know that the residents of Willersley House are well looked after and that our staff are performing so well within their roles. Thank you.
She enjoys the food, the daily activities, the twice weekly services, and the time spent on her own in a lovely ground floor room, overlooking the garden.
I enjoy visiting her there and know that she is in safe hands.
Thank you, Liz, we are so happy that your Mum is starting to settle in and make Willersley House her home. She is very active and has made lots of friends quickly. It is so nice to see her happy and content and to know that she has made the right move.
I came to Willersley House 5 and a half months ago and feel that I have settled well. On arrival, I received sensitive help and encouragement from the staff in coming to accept the loss of my own home and independence. I am always treated as an individual and can pursue my former interests and hobbies as far as health and mobility allow. I enjoy the wide range of activities provided 'in house' as well as outings and entertainment and activities by visiting groups, volunteers etc. I am fairly capable at present but have no fears about the future as I see the compassionate care which is given to older, more frail residents. This is a friendly, caring community. Family members can visit and are made very welcome at all times.
Oh Phyllida, what an amazing review, you have made our staffs day just knowing that they are appreciated and feel so valued within their roles. Thank you for your massive contribution to the home, you help us out and give up your own time to assist the staff with their day to day chores and for this, we are extremely grateful. Knowing that you are so happy makes our jobs so much more worthwhile.
My mum has only recently moved into Willersley House but I have found the home to be of an excellent standard. The place is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. My mum's room had a new carpet and furniture ready for her moving in. All the staff have been brilliant with my mum and have made her feel at home. There is always something going on and it's the next best thing to her own home. The cooks are so good and the food that comes out of the kitchen is amazing.
Hi Betty, Thankyou for your kind words. Your Mum is an absolute pleasure to care for and has settled in really well. If we ever can't find the staff they are always with your mum in her room having a cup of tea and a chat!
Yesterday we attended our first function for residents and relatives. The sun shone while we enjoyed the very tasty picnic prepared by the cook. If that is the standard the residents enjoy they are very lucky.
What a lovely review to read, as the Home Manager it is reassuring to know that our staff are performing well in their roles. I will pass on your comments to the team, we all had a lovely day at the picnic and it was so nice to see the event well supported by our residents' families. Heres to many more!
Everybody there is fantastic. I know not to use names- the care workers are brilliant. Nothing is ever too much trouble for any of them. The food is excellent by the lovely chef who cooks for anyone's needs. We take our pet dog and all the residents love her, people are so friendly and the home is very clean and big with no smells. If anybody needs this and is looking for a short or long term stay I really cannot fault it. The chef will even cook for any visitors to the home and us for free.
Thank you for your comment regarding...
I am impressed with the excellent care my husband has received during his respite stay at Willersley House. Our family has been made welcome when they visit. Everyone is friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. There is a very good atmosphere in this home which is noticeable as soon as you walk in. Every effort has been made to create a comfortable and pleasant environment for residents.
It was a pleasure to meet your lovely family, I hope you are all keeping well. I miss our chats, feel free to pop in at any time.
Willersley House is set in very pleasant surroundings which can be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike during the summer months. Speaking from my own experience (I visit at least twice a week) visitors are made most welcome by the staff. The residents are always encouraged to join in with activities which are numerous and various enough to suit all tastes (the coffee and biscuits always help as well) and you are never pressured to leave. Regrettably, over the last 30+ years, I have visited people in 4 or 5 care homes, none of which compared favourably with this one.
Thank you. I will pass your appreciation on to the staff team, the activities coordinator will be especially delighted that the activities have been mentioned as she works so hard to include all the residents. She does try to ensure that every day our residents, all of different abilities, are able to participate with others and to hopefully give them a sense of accomplishment.
My mother has lived here for 4 years. The care has been excellent, adapting as her needs have changed as her health and mobility have declined. The surroundings are pleasant and well maintained. Staff are caring and considerate of each resident's needs. As far as possible a real "home from home".
Thank you Greg for your kind words. The staff work hard to ensure that person-centred care is delivered all the time regardless of the situation or health requirements. Caring for your mother is a pleasure despite inital teething problems four years ago. Staff soon identified her likes and dislikes...
When end of life care was needed my Dad was treated with utmost dignity and respect and the well-being of family members present during this emotional time was dealt with compassion by all staff.
Thank you for responding Peter, we all send our love to you and your family at this difficult time. Thank you for acknowledging the care standards that all residents receive, we all ensure that residents receive person-centred care at all times, including end of life care. It means a lot when...
Having recently visited this home for the first time due to living a distance from my friend, I was very impressed with the lovely, clean environment and facilities on offer. The home manager is absolutely superb and very knowledgeable. Today, having met the deputy home manager, I can say that she is kind, caring and very efficient. My friend couldn't have chosen a better care home and I feel confident that she is so well looked after.
I am so happy that your friend has settled into the home, it's so nice to see her joining in all the activities, she is so busy most days and really enjoying her time with us. Please know that you are more than welcome to come and join her for a meal at any time. We would love to see you
I find this residential home as one of the best I have visited. The staff are always welcoming, helpful and caring towards the residents. I have visited a lady for over three years who had to come to Willersley House when she could no longer remain physically in her own home. She was mostly on the ball up until she passed away. She was happy at Willersley House and if had a grievance always found the staff available to sort the matters out. I also visit another friend who has dementia and I find the staff most caring towards her as well.
What an absolutley lovely compliment Val, to say that our home is one of the best that you have visited. Thank you so much for taking the time to review us.
Willersley House is a lovely, caring & friendly home. Mum was only here from Nov 16 - Jan 17, but the staff made her last couple of months more bearable and comfortable. When we visited Mum the staff made us feel very welcome. I know Mum was happy here and really cared for to an extremely high standard. She had a lovely room and ensuite, she was impressed with the high standard of cleanliness in the home. This home has a warm friendly atmosphere, spotlessly clean, wonderful staff, who can't do enough for the residents and made us as a family visiting extremely welcome. I would have no hesitation in recommending Willersley House to anyone. We will be forever grateful to all the staff who cared for Mum here, thank-you so much from all the family.
Thank you, Joanne, for such a positive review. The staff will be thrilled to hear this as we all miss Shelia terribly, she was a lovely lady who was a delight to care for.
The daily activities are very good and varied. The home is very clean and has good amenities.
There are so many positive things to be said about Willersley House and the staff.
Thank you Tara for taking the time to comment on Willersley House, what a lovely positive review, I will pass your kind words onto our staff group.
Lovely home with a nice warm atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the home is managed very efficiently. The setting could not be better - lovely grounds in a village, close to the shops and other amenities.
Thank you Brian for your nice comments. I know that your wife is only with us here on respite, however we have really enjoyed having you both with us around the home and feel that we have made some firm friends. Please do keep in touch and pop in to see us from time to time.
Excellent caring staff (the most important aspect of any care home) Beautiful, welcoming, clean environment. A good test is how long the staff have been here and how happy they fell here!
Hi Ann, Thankyou very much for your kind words. We consider ourselves as one huge family with all our staff and residents. In our experience this enhances the wellbeing of our residents. I look forward to coming into work everyday!!
My Mother spent her last few years in residential care and although she seemed happy, it was not a patch on your home.
What a lovely review, it's so nice to hear that you think we are a lovely home, you are more than welcome to come at any time and join us for lunch or afternoon tea.
I was recently visiting my friend in Willersley House. On arrival, I was greeted by such polite and welcoming staff. Each time I visit, the home is always like walking into a home from home environment. It is always a pleasure to see my friend and I know that she is so well cared for. I know how much she enjoys all the activities and the fantastic atmosphere that is always felt throughout. Thank you.
Thank you for such positive comments, it is so lovely to see our residents participating in the many activities on offer and to know friends and relatives from an outside view point appreciate how well our residents are cared for.
