My mother has been at the home for a month and we are so pleased with the care and treatment she is receiving. The staff are pleasant and very caring and really seem interested in all of the residents. We have been trying to stay with our mother through her illness and now feel happier than before at leaving her for longer periods as I am confident in the care she is receiving and know they will ring us immediately if they have any concerns. I am so happy that 'Willersley House' had a room for my mother as we had reserved many places and this was by far the best!
Activities are always varied with potential for residents to participate should they wish. Allowing less able residents to observe activities gives stimulation. Including relatives adds to the residents enjoyment. Staff are always enthusiastic and supportive.
Thank, you, Lesley for your kind review, we are looking forward to seeing more of you now you have retired, both you and your husband bring an added enthusiasm and energy to our activity groups and we love to see your Dad smiling. Thank you for all your support.
Excellent care over a period of nine years until dementia meant further, specialist care was needed.
Thank, you, Jeanette so much for taking the time to review us, please feel free at any time to pop into the home for a chat and a cup of tea, we would love to see you and keep in touch.
Most importantly it feels like home for mum.
Thank, you, Linda for taking the time to write a comment about the home. We are so happy to see the outside courtyard being used and enjoyed by the residents, we are now in the process of building a traditional ice cream hut which we hope will become a popular addition to the home.
A relative of mine has been living at Willersley House for the last 3 years, I found the home, clean, friendly, amazing staff, always asking if relatives want a drink etc. My mother-in-law looks younger each time I see her, could not rate the home any higher.
Thank, you, Julie for taking the time to review Willersley House, your comments were welcomed very warmly from the staff group as we all feel that you and your family are part of our team. Thank you so much for all the support you have given us recently, especially helping us to renovate our inner courtyard. The residents love this area and we could not have achieved this without your help
Very friendly welcome and good security measures/safety aspects to entry and exit. I feel very confident in my Grandma's safety. All staff I have come across are helpful and friendly. The environment is always clean and seems well looked after. There is a good range of facilities and amenities on the site which helps with my grandma's daily routine. Overall is a safe and friendly environment with very helpful staff.
It was lovely to read your review, we are especially pleased to hear that the staff are welcoming and helpful. Your Grandma loves having her family around her so it is important to us that you feel so welcome within your Grandmas home.
Lovely care home staff very friendly always make my children and I feel very welcome and comfortable. The introduction of the new tea bar is brilliant allowing relatives/friends to help themselves to crisps/fruit etc. I go home knowing my relative is very cared for here.
Thanks, Katie, you know we love to see you and the children as we have watched them growing up these past three years. You are such a lovely family and we are so grateful for your help and support in the care of your Grandma
My stepfather became unable to live at home after two falls. We were offered a lovely room which had to be redecorated first. Unfortunately, he was readmitted to hospital and contracted a virus. This made him frail and confused. The staff could not have been more supportive on his arrival. Despite problems at the beginning. Everyone was kind, helpful and encouraging. My stepfather is now happy, safe and working more like himself. I am so pleased. I live 300 miles away and no longer have the stress of worrying how he is coping. What a relief!
Lovely to hear from you, thank you for taking the time to fill out the form it was very much appreciated. Your Stepfather has quickly become part of the Willersley House family. He is a lovely gentleman and a pleasure to care for.
My Mum lives in Yorkshire and I live in Gloucestershire so my irregular visits mean that I need to be totally confident in the care Mum receives. Mum has been a resident of Willersley for some seven years now and every time I speak to her or see her at what she warmly regards as her "home", I am reassured that her choice of care home was spot on. Whatever the challenges of recruiting staff for such challenging work , I know that Laura has put together a first class team and am really chuffed that Mum is being looked after by folks who really do care about her. MHA stands for something significant and that's not simply its Methodist heritage, more crucially, it's about people who work tirelessly to give elderly folk a meaningful and dignified life in their final years.
For me, Willersley stands head and shoulders above so many of the other care homes I have visited.
Thank you,Tim, for your kind words, your mother is very special to us given that some of us remember her as a volunteer all those years ago, your mum has done so much for this home over the years and for that, we are truly grateful. It is now our turn to have the pleasure of looking after her.
I was moved from a care home where I didn't get treated very well. The moment I arrived at Willersley I knew it was different. Willersely haws a warm and caring atmosphere. All the staff are helpful and kind. The food is good and all home cooked. The room is spacious and light looking onto the gardens. I would recommend anyone to come and stay at Willersley. I have been very happy and cared for the month I have been here. Thank you to all at Willersley House.
Thankyou Moyra for your review. When you arrived at Willersley House we all knew how difficult this must of been for you spending time away for your husband. During your recovery here at Willersley House we all feel that we have made a friend and hope to keep in touch with you and your family.
My auntie and later on my Mum both lived at Willersley House. I had no concerns about my Mum moving in as we had both seen how well my auntie was being looked after. The home provides a high level of activities and guest entertainment. Visitors and relatives are not made to feel a nuisance. In my mum's final illness when I was pretty much staying at Willersley House I became more aware of how staff did not cut corners in terms of health and hygiene issues as well at looking after her as best they could in a busy home. The bedrooms and public rooms were always clean. The laundry done regularly and returned promptly. The staff were always very busy but had time to answer questions. If they had any concerns they rang me up to let me know what was happening with my Mum or to try and solve any of their concerns over the phone. I think my Mum and Auntie were lucky to have lived at Willersley House. I knew that they would both be well looked after and I did not have to worry about them being there. It was good to visit and see them having a laugh and a joke with nursing and now nursing staff. I like to think that should I need to go into a care home that I will be as well looked after.
Thank you Anita for your review. as a staff group we miss both your Auntie and your Mum as they were both so full of fun and made us laugh continuously throughout their time living at Willersley House. They were both such characters and it was a joy to care for them both.
Willersley House provides excellent support to my mother. They monitor her health on a daily basis and support her needs with activities, pastoral care and medical care.
Thank you Chris for taking the time to review us, your feedback and your Mum are both very important to us all
Having recently visited Willersley House and living some distance from my friend I was pleasantly surprised at how well and happy my dear friend is! Couldn't recommend the place high enough!
Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to review us, we are very pleased that your friend has settled and is more than happy in her new home. We hope to see you again very soon.
Sadly mum died on 14/3/16 but had eight years of wonderful care.
Thankyou so much for your review. Your mum was part of Willersley House for such a long period of time. We have shared many joyous moments which we will all never forget. Such a pleasure to care for. Missed dearly.
The room had been redecorated and was very clean and tidy.
My Uncle was a person with high standards and these were more than provided for by this Home and all the staff.
He was always complimenting the care and attention given to him - meals were always to a very high standard.
As a very regular visitor I always found the Manager and her staff very approachable and always willing to provide help and advice.
I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending the MHA and Willersley House - many thanks to them.
Many thanks Andrew for taking the time to comment on your late Uncle's stay at Willersley House. Although the time he spent with us was short, the staff were so happy to have met and cared for him. He was such a true gentleman.
The home is always kept clean and tidy and visitors are welcome at anytime. There is a choice of menu and the meals can be adapted to fit each individual's likes or dislikes. Residents can choose to stay in their own rooms or join others in the comfortable lounge which has a large TV screen or enjoy the tranquility of the quiet room. Activities for the residents take place most days and there are usually two Christian services held each week with visiting preachers.
I do not hesitate to recommend Willersley House should you be searching for a home for your loved one.
Thank you Glynis for such lovely comments. Your Mum, having been a volunteer at Willersley House for many years prior to becoming a resident is a much loved, well known and respected lady and her contribution to the Home is hugely appreciated. It is a pleasure to be able to take care of her. Thank you for your continued support, you have all become very special to us.
