1. Residents spend most days sitting in the dining room dozing - no stimulation provided.
2. There are some excellent staff and some poor ones. Often they are very short of staff.
3. The manager is not there every day and no deputy, both usually in the office when present, not visible to staff and residents so unaware of what's happening.
4. Laundry/loss of clothes/damage to clothes.
Careless mayhem. Disaster.
Thank you for taking the time to add a review, and for bringing your concerns to our attention. We understand that you have since had a conversation with the General Manager on their return from leave in relation to your comments and your concerns have now been resolved. My sister has had twelve good years at Barchester Scarborough Hall. She has suffered a lot in her life, at Scarborough Hall she is at home and safe. Her room is very comfortable, shelves put up for new family photos and her mug collection. I sleep at night because my sister is safe!

My mother has been in Scarborough Hall Care Home for a few months now and my family and I are extremely pleased with this placement. Everyone is always polite, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in Scarborough Hall is always excellent. The facilities are first class, always clean and maintained to a very high standard. I haven't had a meal at the home but the menu is very impressive and the homemade snacks in the lounge are always excellent. I have left activities and safety/security categories blank because I have no experience with them but I am confident they will be excellent.

I visit Scarborough Hall Care Home with 2-3 members of the church. We are always welcomed by staff who join us in the lounge prepared for us to do a small service. Residents are treated with great care and respect and always seem happy and cheerful. I would not hesitate in recommending Scarborough Hall to anyone considering care for a family member.

All the staff are very friendly, patient and accommodating. The care home is always clean and tidy and you always get a warm welcome when you arrive. I bring my 3-year-old son with me for my visits and he is made to feel comfortable and doesn't get anxious in any way due to the nature of the staff. My dad couldn't be in a better place to be cared for.

My time here has been comfortable and in its own way, very helpful. Unfortunately, I am unable to pat them any longer - I would if I could. However, I'd like to thank all the staff for their kindness, consideration and professionalism.

Mum has settled and has bever brought me cause for her concern. Not all staff members at first appeared approachable but at stressful times have become more receptive to the stress and issues of Covid and going into a home one member of staff has excelled at this and should be recognised as an outstanding member of staff, she is amazing.

They have been strict and adhered to guidance regarding Covid-19.
My relative seems quite settled at the home and enjoys the meals and activities.
Although that could vary some days due to the Alzheimer's one's relative suffers from.
