With a team who are passionate about enriching the lives of their residents, Cedar Court provides residential, dementia, nursing and palliative care. They also provide rehabilitation and pre-bookable respite care breaks.

The home is very much at the heart of the local community. School children often pop in to take part in activities and singing. There is regular entertainment from singers, musicians and choirs, and the local church run regular services for the residents. And there are trips out in the home’s minibus, from pub lunches to garden centres and shopping.

There are so many activities to enjoy, from pamper sessions, with manicures and hand massages to animal visits, with everything from snakes and tortoises to rabbits and dogs. And a stone’s throw from the coast, residents often enjoy walks along the harbour.

The home has lots of bright and airy spaces to enjoy, from the lounges, where residents enjoy activities and spending time with loved ones, to the dining rooms, where they enjoy delicious home-cooked meals prepared by the chef. From roast dinners with all the trimmings, to fish and chip Fridays and lighter bites such as home-made soups and freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea.

The residents love to get involved in ‘foody’ activities, baking and cake decoration, making pizzas and pies. And there is always a special menu for special occasions, from afternoon tea to themed nights.

Loved ones, who are welcome at any time, are embraced into life at Cedar Court. There are regular relatives’ meetings and a private family and friends Facebook page, where relatives can see what their loved ones have been enjoying doing, even if they can’t be there in person.

The gardens are wonderful, with wheelchair friendly pathways and raised beds, for residents who enjoy gardening.

Cedar Court also has a beautiful hair salon, for weekly appointments with the mobile hairdresser.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1134 and for nursing care £1326, but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

My husband enjoys living at Cedar Court. He always tells me what he has had to eat, excellent food, can tell by the weight he has gained. He enjoys the entertainment that is provided. The staff are brilliant too.

The staff at Cedar Court are remarkably kind and patient, showing a great deal of care and professionalism often in difficult circumstances. I have nothing but praise and admiration for their care in looking after my mum in her last year of life. They encouraged her to engage with other residents and
the many lovely activities they organised, and attended to all her needs whilst preserving her dignity.

Sadly, my mother-in-law passed away this week. The care and sympathy relating to our loss are beyond measure. We feel that our loss is not just an everyday occurrence but heartfelt and that is much appreciated. The staff here are more than amazing.

We can't thank the staff enough, his room is so nice and it's kept clean at all times, he's really well looked after by a fantastic team of people who really do care for their residents.

My mam was first in Cedar Court Residential & Nursing Home in time to heal which she was well looked after. On returning home after a few weeks she asked the family could I go back there, she said she felt safe and all the staff are nice which is good for the staff at Cedar Court, so Mam has been back
in since September 2022. All the family are happy with the care she receives and the knowing that she is safe at night. All the staff are great with our mam as she has Alzheimer's the stories she can makeup and the staff just go with her to a point.

My dad has only recently come into this care home. So far, everything seems like it’s going well. The staff are so nice, they have time to answer any questions and nothing is ever a bit of bother which to me, is exactly what I want to see. I was really worried and upset when Mam had to go into care due to illness. However, the care and attention she received was first class from all staff, and now after being a resident for six months, it's so nice to see her happy and content. All staff are so helpful, caring and pleasant.

Although my grandad was only a resident of Cedar Court Residential & Nursing Home for a month or so I can honestly say the care staff and the care home are amazing. The place was always immaculate, the staff were always friendly and were fabulous with my grandad. I would highly recommend this care home
to anyone looking for residential care. The manageress and her team are a great bunch of people who go above and beyond.
