I am so very pleased with the excellence of this care home. My dear friend is so well cared for by all the staff. I have also been able to make other friends of the residents too in the lounge who I see every visit. We smile, we laugh which brightens every ones day.
Thank you for your kind words. It's always nice to hear from family members who feel like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your Friend's stay as comfortable as possible.
As you will see below, I view all aspects of WPCH as excellent. There are superb events provided and most care staff are good and some excellent. Food has been variable- some cooks are very good, some far from it. I have had experience of close family in care homes in the past- none of them was anywhere near to the quality of WPCH as outstanding. Please keep up the excellent work!
Thank you for your kind words. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your Wife's stay as comfortable as possible.
The carers are caring! And almost always remain cheerful and positive when with residents. The level of security is very reassuring. The management interaction with residents and relatives is well-balanced.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always nice to hear words like "Cheerful" and "Positive" being used to describe our care. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
I came to Westcombe Park after a heart operation and I am so glad I did. Everyone is so kind, helpful and cheerful. Just what I needed when feeling exhausted and unwell. I'll certainly recommend Westcombe Park to anyone who needs some care.
Thank you for your kind words. We hope Westcombe Park Care Home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible. Thank you for choosing our home for your stay.
I didn't expect to need a care home. The staff helped me settle in. They help me make the best of everything. I am grateful for the daily care I receive.
Thank you for your lovely review. We hope Westcombe Park Care Home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible. Thank you for choosing Westcombe Park for your stay.
I felt well cared for at Westcombe Park, although staff shortages led to a few problems, such as missing some morning activities (chair exercises) as I had not been showered in time. The room was quiet and kept clean, although the floorings in both the bedroom and bathroom need replacing as they are worn. There was a good variety of food. The fruit plate was especially welcome to me as a 'pre-diabetic' but there was no sugar-free yoghurt.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We hope Westcombe Park Care Home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible. We will discuss your feedback with the home's manager to help them continually improve their service. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
I visit Westcombe Park Care Home twice a month as it is in St John's Parish. I enjoy listening and talking to the residents, I have made friends with several of them. I have not heard a single criticism of the staff or food, just some times other residents when they are being noisy through no fault of their own. I enjoy also chatting to the regulars in the common room, they seem happy. In fact the atmosphere in the home is pleasant throughout.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely review. It is always nice to hear from volunteers feeling like our residents are cared for and looked after. We will certainly pass your comments on to the manager.
My sister has been well treated at Westcombe Park. Staff have been very welcoming and supportive. Food in recent months has been too variable.

My brother was admitted to Westcombe Park Care Home on 17/01/2023 and died there on 15/10/2024. In all that time he was very well cared for by the nursing staff, care workers and in particular the two ladies who arranged all the social activities and entertainment. Thank you all very much for looking after my lovely brother.

It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one has been cared for and looked after and we are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time. Hopefully you will go away from this feeling like your brother received the best possible care.
My mum's stay was very short but during that time all the staff tried their hardest to make sure her stay was as comfortable as possible. They tried to get to know her habits and it was all the more difficult as she did not speak much English. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and tried to be as accommodating as possible. I am sad that Mum could not stay longer.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind review. We are very happy to hear you felt at ease with your mum in our care and it is always nice to hear words like "very friendly" and "helpful" being used to describe our care. Hopefully, you will go away from this feeling like she received the best possible care.
My mother has been at Westcombe Park for just over a year. We are extremely happy with her care. This means we do not have to worry about her. We know that her care and domiciliary needs are fully met and she is happy which makes us happy. Thank you, Westcombe Park.

My father moved into the home in July 2023. It's been a great place for him. He recognised the need for full-time professional care and he has been provided this at Westcombe Park care home in a most wonderful way. The greatest asset of the care home is the staff and the whole team at Westcombe Park have been so kindly and caring of him. I couldn't think of a better place for him to be at this time of life.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We hope Westcombe Park care home did everything to make the transition as easy as possible. We hope to continue providing your father with the best possible care and we will certainly pass your comments on to the manager.

I really appreciate the staff at Westcombe Park. After my grandad was discharged from the hospital we brought him here while his new house was getting prepared. Since being here his health has done a 180-degree turn. The staff were extremely helpful in rehabilitating him, not only physically but mentally as well. The constant routine and mental stimulation did amazing things for him. He really enjoyed his time here.

Since arriving in November 2022 my wife has progressed well and looks amazing, having had regular showers, hair washed and dried which makes her look so much more like her old self I know and love, she is so much happier and cheerful and appreciates the staff coming in to see her.

My 89-year-old mother moved into Westcombe Park Care Home in November and has quickly settled in. She enjoys the companionship of having a cup of tea with everyone and getting involved with the games and events in the lounge every day but also has the space to rest in her room when needed. It’s a huge relief knowing that she’s so well cared for and I am so grateful for the kindness shown to my mother by all of the staff.

Mum has only been in this home since January 2023. She has been on palliative care, we have found from reception, staff and management friendly and kind. When needed for assistance have provided the help where they can. Some of the relevant options we can't answer due to Mum's circumstances.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. We hope Westcombe Park Care Home has done everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible for your Mum and your family. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
I was initially concerned because Mum was transferred from another care facility which wasn't quite meeting her needs anymore.
She arrived in a wheelchair and straightaway I had a great feeling. She is always praising the staff, including the manager and her team, who have taken the time to know and understand Mum.
She gets her hair done and seems extremely content, happy and relaxed.
She likes to participate in the games and activities which are fun and run very well.
We love joining the wonderful events and activities too.
5 stars for sure.
Thank you for your kind words. We are so pleased to hear that your Mum is doing extremely well in our care and that you, as a family, can feel at ease knowing that she is receiving the best possible care. It is so lovely to hear that your Mum can feel understood and cared for at Westcombe Park and we hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
Mum went to the care home in November 2022, being bedbound she is totally dependent on the carers for everything and she has nothing but praise for the staff and the care that they provide. Where possible they try to include her in as many of their activities as possible and she loves the music nights. I’m always made welcome on my visit’s and there is always someone around to answer any questions that arise.
Thank you for your kind words. We are so pleased to hear that you and your Mum feel like part of our Westcombe Park family. We have a genuine regard for our residents and their loved ones so it is lovely that this shines through. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
