Acton Care Centre is the largest capacity Gold Care Homes owns, facilitating Nursing Care for residents over the age of 65. The purpose-built home with modern amenities offers 71 beds for general care and 54 beds for Dementia care. Acton offers first-class, unique, personalised care with testament to their well trained staff supporting those with very complex needs including Palliative Care, Nursing, Dementia and those with disabilities.

Mum has been in Acton Care Centre coming up to a year in April this year. The staff are brilliant and really easy to communicate with about Mum's needs.
Mum has a great relationship with most of the staff also, I like how they take the time to build individual relationships with all residents. I was
really nervous about Mum going into a care home but Acton Care Centre have made the experience a little less daunting for me & Mum.

Both of my parents are residents of Acton Care Centre and I have been very happy about the care that they has been provided. The rooms are always clean and tidy and I have seen that my parents have received a good level of care consistently since they arrived 5 months ago.
The staff are always friendly
and available to answer any questions that I or any family members have about how my parents are doing, or if I have any concerns. I am always greeted by a friendly smile and hello from the receptionist who goes above and beyond to help. My parents are happy with the care that they receive and I am pleased that the staff do focus on a personalised service.
The only area that I would say that requires some improvement is the laundry service. Overall it is good (always clean and nicely ironed), but a few items belonging to my parents have gotten lost, which is unfortunate. But, I do appreciate that in a care home of that size, these things will happen.

I visit my sister most days and I find everyone so caring, when you enter reception you are greeted with a smile, the nurses are always smiling, the home is so very clean unlike some homes you have smells but this home never has bad smells. Excellent. The only issue is sometimes I feel they are short
of staff, I understand that this would be due to illness and holidays. The other issue is my sister has gotten used to certain nurses but they are being moved around to other units which does make it harder for my sister.

Acton Care Centre has exceeded my expectations! The home is always clean and has a welcoming environment and the reception team always go above and beyond to help!

I have been at Acton Care Centre over 8 years, I feel lucky to be able to call this place home, there are fantastic people working here, the carers and activities especially one person in particular who does a lot for me, and the nursing staff, also domestic cleaning staff, have been amazing, the management
team are effective in the way they are running operations ensuring a well-organised environment for the residents.

Papa loves it at Acton Care Centre. He says everyone is so friendly, the food is good, and he enjoyed his best birthday ever!
By far the best care he's received whilst living in care. We have no concerns, and it's so reassuring to know he is so well cared for!

It’s sometimes hard to find my way in the building but all staff I have met are very helpful and they are always smiling so I feel they are happy in their work. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Reception staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Mum was recently admitted to the care home at the request of the hospital where she had been a patient.
She is presently being assessed so that decisions can be made in regards to her ongoing care.
I have on occasion asked staff members questions in relation to Mum's condition/ treatment and the answers
are always concise, thoughtful and sympathetic. As a family, I'm not sure that we could have found a nicer care home had we indeed looked for one ourselves, and when visiting Mum it is such a nice thing that I am always welcomed with a hello and a smile from all staff members.

My family member was admitted before Easter with a number of health conditions, Alzheimer's being one of them. The staff were friendly and caring, adapting to her changing medical needs as other problems mainly cancer progressed. It was a hard situation which all the staff handled with respect and openness
to visitors' enquiries.

Our Father was admitted to Acton Care Centre with acute dementia and as agreed with his family was at end of life sadly. We had one request for the home which was should he become unwell that not to send him to hospital because of the distress but to call his family and make him comfortable. This was
written down and agreed.
All of this was ignored and more worrying was the fact even though they had received and accepted contact numbers, had the wrong ones so could not contact us. The hospital did this to advise he was there where he remained until he passed some days later as he was too weak to return and even the hospital asked why had they sent him as there was no gain to doing this apart from causing distress. This made his passing distressful and hard to accept.

In my humble opinion, this home should rate excellent. My brother had the best of care from the wonderful staff. The people who work here are so dedicated to all of the residents and families. Thank you all so much for helping to ease an extremely difficult time. I would recommend this care home 100%.

My friend spent just a few months in Acton Care Centre prior to her death. At first, she was somewhat reluctant but was immediately welcomed and soon settled in. Her physical and mental capacity declined rapidly over the last couple of months. The nursing staff were kind and gentle and the admin staff
continued to spend time in conversation with her. My feeling is she was well cared for and stimulated as far as possible throughout.

They seem to be giving excellent care and it's a nice bright room, comfortable bed and kept warm. The staff are excellent, very caring. The food lets the place down, the vegetarian options are poor. You would think they would buy in food from local retail outlets if their own cooks are not good with
vegetarian meals. I have passed my comments on, let's hope there is a quick improvement.

My father has settled in at Acton Care Centre and is looked after very well and kept clean. His room is bright and comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly including the lady at reception and it feels like a caring environment.
