My family friend seems very well cared for. Staff show concern for his well-being. Communication is very good, staff alert us if there are any issues or changes to friends status. Staff help friend access the lounge and outside area when appropriate by providing a wheelchair. Was very happy to see my friend had hair it was very smart and I'm sure added to his feeling of well-being.

Due to COVID 19, it’s been a long time since I have seen my brother in the home. The staff and management have been extremely good at keeping me informed of my brother's progress throughout the pandemic, by telephone and video calls with him. It has been very hard on all the family not been able to see our brother, the video calls were excellent, just to see him was such a relief, cannot praise the staff enough, just brilliant in keeping us up to date all the time. When the lockdown was lifted in the summer last year they made arrangements for us to sit in the garden at a safe distance and brought my brother out to us, which was just great. We are truly grateful to all the wonderful staff at Ashgrove Care Home. We miss seeing them also as they are like family to us. I would like to pay particular thanks to the carers and nurses who work in close contact with my brother, truly wonderful, caring people, every one of them. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
