At this time of year when it's very warm, the welcome is as warm as ever, but with a slight difference, not a tea, but a cooling ice lolly.

My father has been in Ash Grove Care Home for one year now. He has now settled well and I believe is happy at the home. All the staff are very friendly, professional and clearly care for my father's welfare. We appreciate so much the help the management and her team give on a daily visit to my father's

The care my brother receives is first class. The effort that was put in for his 80th birthday with regards to both food and entertainment was excellent. The care and attention to his personal hygiene and cleanliness of his washing and room are very good. The routine visits by the staff, give me a lot

On arrival, all the staff greeted us both with smiles and made us feel relaxed.
We were taken to his room where we unpacked with the assistance of two of the girls.
I stayed to enjoy lunch with my husband and when I left the staff gave good advice.
Thereafter, phone calls were always reassuring and
the same professional service was displayed when I was leaving.

My husband was in this care home for two years. He had a nice private room, it was clean and his belongings were washed in time.
They provided very good medical assistance he was referred several times to a hospital even was operated there.
He was 95 when he died peacefully and a nurse was with him
for feeding, changing, talking. All of the staff deserve to be mentioned as they did a very good job. Thank you.

Ash Grove has provided my dad with excellent care during his stay. He is as happy as he could be, given his health status.

I'm overall pleased with my mothers care. Staff are very attentive to both her and us.
Any problems are dealt with promptly. At the moment just sitting down to the Christmas Party. A very good effort has been put into making us all welcome.

Ash Grove is a very good care home. My husband is well looked after. The staff are great with him. There is also something going on to keep them busy. We had a party on Friday, it was a great afternoon with singing and dancing and plenty of food. Very well done. Great to see the staff having a great

Lourdes Pascua

Job Title: Home Manager

As a Registered Nurse with 40 years of continuous professional nursing practice, Lourdes has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for residents.


Talking about her career history, Lourdes said:


“I have managed several various-sized care homes, giving me a great experience. Having worked in this setting previously I understand what the day-to-day role involves so I can support my team.”


Lourdes closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home:


“I operate an open-door policy and am approachable, not only to my team but to residents and relatives as well, as ultimately it is their home more than anyone’s. I encourage residents to make their rooms their own, by bringing in meaningful items to help make their room homely.”


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Lourdes remarked:


“As the Home Manager I believe our residents should be able to live the life they want and be able to be themselves. I enjoy taking on the responsibilities that come with managing a home and I encourage the inclusion of everyone in the home, to create a friendly environment and a great place for us all to live and work.


The care background of HC-One is what stood out to me when joining, as they understand what is involved at the home level and there is a strong support network in place for me and my team to continually develop. I am passionate about seeing my colleagues grow and develop in their roles to be able to provide and offer the best care and environment for our residents.”


Outside of work, Lourdes enjoys spending time with her family and travelling, experiencing different cultures. She also enjoys reading and watching sports, especially tennis.
