I’ve been visiting my auntie with my dad (his sister) for the last two years and I can honestly say from phoning to arriving you are treated with warmth care and professionalism. This year has been challenging with my father’s health and when we arrive the care and concern they show him is heartwarming.
My auntie always looks happy, well cared for and carers show compassion, they explain what is happening and what’s happening next which is crucial for those with dementia. Her birthday celebration was wonderful, I was taken back when she was presented with a gift from the staff, that’s what sets Kenbrook apart from other settings I’ve been to. They are special carers, particularly the management staff, I just feel very welcome when we visit. It’s a special place and staff seem to go the extra mile. Well done and thank you very much for all you do for my auntie I can clearly see she is loved and part of a beautiful community at Kenbrook.
Reply from Marian O'Hara, Home Manager at KenbrookThank you so much for taking the time to leave this wonderful review of Kenbrook. Your aunt is a lovely lady and indeed a big part of our Kenbrook community. Your aunt settled so well with us from day one and is so easy to please as long as she has a cup of tea! Your family bring much warmth to the home on their visits and have been very generous in gifting chocolates and hand cream throughout this difficult period. We are delighted that your father is doing well and look forward to seeing you visit Kenbrook soon. Thank you again for your excellent feedback, we shall share your comments with the team.

A big thank you to the staff for helping to make Mum's 86th birthday so special. They put up decorations, baked a cake and we had tea in a china set. We really appreciated spending a pleasant afternoon with her. She was so happy to see her granddaughters and great-granddaughters. The little ones were
at home and loved playing in the garden and with the memorabilia. My 7yr old granddaughter thought the hand whisk and globe were great. Mum was complimentary of the staff and said how well she is being looked after! This is so reassuring. Kenbrook, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Reply from Marian O'Hara, Home Manager at KenbrookThank you for taking the time to review Kenbrook. Your Mother really did enjoy her special day and it was lovely that she was able to have her little garden party for her birthday! We encourage family gatherings for birthdays and it has been such a shame that the pandemic has made this very difficult for everyone. It was lovely to see your Mother enjoying her birthday with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren around her. We are so pleased that a lovely afternoon was had by all. We shall pass your kind words on to all the team and thank you once again for leaving a lovely review of our service.

The care home is extremely clean and tidy. The staff are very attentive, friendly, considerate and caring. They treat all residents with the utmost respect and attend to them caringly. The nurses are lovely and are always happy to answer any questions you may have. The food offered to the residents
is well prepared. The staff ensure there is always something for residents to do, if they choose to participate, they also have dance nights for the more agile footed. I wholeheartedly would recommend this care home.

I cannot praise highly enough the love and care my mother received at MHA Kenbrook. The whole staff and team are wonderful and were amazing providing support also to all of the family.
Reply from Marian O'Hara, Home Manager at KenbrookThank you so much for taking the time to review Kenbrook. Your mother was such a lovely lady and brought many joyful moments to the home. She loved to make other residents happy and sing songs to them, she loved to assist the staff in caring for others, such a kind and thoughtful lady. She is sadly missed from the home and it was a pleasure to have been able to care for your mother and to have been able to support your family in the time your mother was at Kenbrook. I shall pass your kind comments on to the team at Kenbrook and thank you once again for taking the time to post your review.

My Father has now been at Kenbrook for 4 months and his needs are challenging at times. We are so pleased with the care he receives and especially his 1-1 carer who he likes very much. Kenbrook is a very clean and inviting environment and we hope he remains here permanently. Many thanks to all.

I looked around for a care home beforehand and I saw a manager who did an assessment on my next of kin in a step-down for which he only was there two days.
I then was taken around Kenbrook Wembley where I met the administrator who was brilliant and helped me through. All I can say is how amazing they
were with my next of kin, even the cleaners, and the chef was brilliant he always gave him a lovely Italian meal. The passion you all have for your residents, and it's like a big family. I give you 100% and over for the quality and all your standards are very high. Well done, you are all amazing. My next of kin has now passed and I'm sure he will be missed as he never moaned and was always grateful. A big thank you.

My mother was sent to Kenbrook in January 2021 after 7 weeks in hospital. She was well looked after there, the staff were great. Unfortunately, my mother was transferred to another nursing home on the 14th of June 2021 which was a shame as it was a great nursing home and lovely staff.
Reply from Marian O'Hara, Home Manager at KenbrookThank you for taking the time to review Kenbrook. It was a pleasure to get to know your Mother and all of you as a family. We hope your Mother is well and happy in her new home. We thank you for your kind words and shall share your comments with the team.

My father was transferred from hospital into the care of Kenbrook and we received a phone call from the manager advising us that he was with them and explaining everything about the home, she was very helpful and reassuring. We phoned every day thereafter for an update and the call was always answered
and invariably we were put through to the member of staff providing 1-to-1 care and support who would let us know what Dad had been doing that day. After being in isolation for a short period he was soon joining in activities with other residents, especially enjoying the music activities, which was excellent because Dad had advanced dementia by this stage had not always engaged when in hospital. We were very pleased with all aspects of his care and support and would like to commend all of the staff we came into contact with for their friendly and professional manner, nothing seemed too much trouble.
Reply from Marian O'Hara, Home Manager at KenbrookThank you for taking the time to review Kenbrook and for recommending our service. It is such a difficult time for families who have a loved one transferred to a nursing/care home during this time, as under normal circumstances you could visit as often as you wish. We thank you for your kind words which we will share with the team and we offer condolences to your family from all at Kenbrook. It is comforting to know that your father enjoyed his short time with us, in particular, he enjoyed the music therapy sessions. We are so glad that you had the opportunity of seeing this on our social media page. Thank you once again for taking the time to review Kenbrook.

Thanks to all the fantastic staff at Kenbrook for their unfailingly wonderful care of my mum in her last months of life. The Covid restrictions made their jobs so much harder yet they greeted me every day with a smile and a chat. Living in Australia it was a great relief to know that Mum was in the
best of care right until the end. I would highly recommend to anyone looking at a care/nursing home for a family member.

My father has been at MHA Kenbrook since December 2019. I feel he has been well cared for. Kenbrook does not have the unpleasant smell of most care homes. Whenever we visit my father he is clean and well dressed in ironed clothes. Kenbrook's friendly caretaker helped rearrange my father's room to help
him settle into his new home. We could bring in furniture and put lots of pictures on the walls to make it homely. Kenbrook has a great activities coordinator. It was a while before my father got involved in the activities, often involving music, but now he enjoys them and misses them at weekends when not a lot is happening. The manager of Kenbrook is excellent. She is kind and efficient. She has created a good atmosphere. All staff greet you with a smile; they are respectful and kind. My father has been greatly helped by the chaplain. During the pandemic, the protection of residents and keeping their contact with family has been carefully and pragmatically managed. Food is like school food.
Reply from Marian O'Hara, Home Manager at KenbrookThank you for taking the time to leave a review of Kenbrook. We must agree your father’s room does indeed look very homely and it’s lovely that he has made the room so personalised, giving the room a real home from home feel. Your father has really started to embrace the daily activities and enjoys the musical activities immensely. The “hokey cokey” seems to be one of his favourites. We have tried to accommodate your father with some requests regarding meals but we are happy to discuss this further so we can work together to personalise every aspect of happiness by providing meals of his choice whilst meeting his dietary requirements. We are happy to discuss this with you at any time. Thank you again for taking the time to leave a review of Kenbrook. I shall pass your comments to the team.

I am a very frequent visitor to Kenbrook care home, my wife being a Parkinson's victim. She has been in this home for some two years. I and my relatives continue to be impressed with the high standards of care this home, and it's dedicated staff provide. I have previously suggested that the exemplary
standards of care should act as a benchmark for all other care homes. That view is still this family position, and it is also the view of others I have spoken to at various times. I have no hesitation in continuing to give this home the highest recommendation.
Reply from Marian O' Hara, Home Manager at KenbrookThank you so much for the excellent feedback and recommendation of our home. I will share this with the team. The Kenbrook team always works within MHA values to provide a high standard of care and positive feedback such as yours encourages us all to keep providing this quality of care to all our residents and in doing so maintain the MHA standards. We sincerely appreciate your recommendation and all your efforts made when visiting Kenbrook and we are so happy that you have been able to maintain your visits throughout this difficult time.

My dad has been living at Kenbrook for about 20 months and from the onset has received great support and attention. The staff are attentive and treat each resident as an individual, understanding and meeting their specific needs. I have observed the cleaners, laundry lady, kitchen cooks, handyman,
musical leader, chaplain, activity coordinator, carers, nurses, office administrator, and care home manager basically the whole team working together and pulling in the same direction to provide a welcoming, secure ‘home from home’ environment. Not an easy task but they pull it off with much fun, laughter and love. Clearly, the last few months has been especially challenging for everyone and Kenbrook has faced this with careful thought; following necessary guidelines while doing their best to manage resident's needs and minimize anxiety for all concerned. A huge positive shout out to all. Thank you.
Reply from Marian O'Hara, Home Manager at KenbrookThank you so much for your review of Kenbrook. Our mum moved to Kenbrook in February this year. The care she has received since the day she arrived has been exceptional. On visiting we have witnessed a warm, caring atmosphere where residents are treated with respect, dignity and kindness. A clear bond has developed between mum and her carers
and she feels safe there.
During Lockdown we couldn't see mum, but we were given photos and videos on Facebook. We could see her joining in the daily activities. We could also see how the staff, during this extremely stressful time, entertained the residents with music, dancing and singing. This was done with endless energy, enthusiasm and humour.
Kenbrook is managed with exceptional dedication and commitment to the residents but also to the families. They are supported by a remarkable team of staff who clearly go the extra mile, showing mutual respect and support towards each other and those in their care.
As a family, we are grateful beyond words to Kenbrook for all you do for mum!

I have continued to be impressed with the constant very high standard of care my partner has received since he moved to Kenbrook nearly three years ago. The minute I set my foot into this home I realised its a very special place. The home is really a home from home! It’s kept immaculately clean and
tidy. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the staff have revealed their hidden talents turning into hairdressers, barbers, beauticians, etc. ensuring the residents have continued looking their best. Apart from the normal activities like music, baking, gardening , religious services, etc the staff including, the manager, have put on some shows for the residents to the residents great delight!
Lately social distancing visits, wearing PPE have been permitted in the gardens.
During lockdown Kenbrook has ensured that family and friends could stay in touch with their loved ones via Video calls and daily updates on their FaceBook page. This is an outstanding home!

The 4.975 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Kenbrook is based on 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.975
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 51 registered maximum number of service users is 10.2, which has been reached with 19 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
