I attended a music concert at my mum's care home and it was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was so lovely, with all the staff joining in, singing and dancing with the residents. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves and having such a great time together. A really special afternoon and a lovely experience for all the residents and their families.
Thank you for your review Tansy. We just love to see everyone enjoying themselves when our amazing entertainer Kwaku plays. He knows us well and he can encourage everyone to sing and dance. It is a party when he plays. We welcome the relatives so that they can see the residents enjoying themselves.
My Mum has recently arrived at the home and everything was done by the staff to make sure she had a smooth and comfortable transition to Queen's Court. The food is excellent, with home made bread and biscuits, and is also very well presented, as well as being nutritious and tasty. The entertainment programme is varied and captures many interests. Every member of staff has gone above and beyond to make sure mum is comfortable and we feel welcomed..

Recently I was unwell and my husband, who has dementia, spent two week's respite in Queens Court whilst I recovered. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and I was made very welcome when visiting. I felt confident that my husband was safe and being well cared for. I was particularly impressed by the activities programme. Great care was taken to engage my husband in activities which matched his personal interests and he obviously enjoyed them.
We were only too pleased to be there for you and your husband at that time. It was lovely to see you recover your health while your husband enjoyed the activities, especially going to the zoo. You have shown how respite care can be helpful to families Thank you for taking the time to complete this review and we hope that are getting stronger. I will definitely share your comments with the staff.

We cannot thank everyone enough for the support, reassurance, and kindness shown to us throughout. Knowing that my father was in such safe and caring hands gave us enormous peace of mind.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for outstanding care for a loved one.

Mum arrived at Queens Court on the 3 Feb its the best decision we have made having moved from another care home that was not what Mum needed. I see such a difference in how she looks & acts. They took my mum out for coffee & to the park this makes our family so very happy as they are helping her live her best life under the circumstances of her deteriorating condition.
Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful feedback regarding your mother's experience at Queens Court Care Home. We are truly delighted to hear that moving to Queens Court has been such a positive decision for both your mum and your family. Your kind words about our...

From the first moment I visited my brother back in November I could not fail to be impressed by the enthusiasm, dedication and personal interest displayed by the management and staff in their patients and tregard for visiting relatives and friends. This view has strengthened.
It is inspiring to see such a well run bright and cheerful caring centre . Some talented people are engaged from outside to lead the activity programmes . I don't know perhaps if the activity program could usefully be extended for some patients, to include outside visits and excursions?
Quality of the food is extraordinary - so varied and fresh. And the quality of cakes and biscuits on offer for sale ever Easter (for charity ) surprised my family.
I have before joked , that if I was to move into care home myself in the future this would be my place. And yesterday a patient told me he was the third member of his family who had chosen to be cared for at Queens Court . I'm not at all surprised.
Thank you for your review. It is so nice to hear that you enjoy our food and activities as well. As you said your brother has been here since November and he too enjoys several events here.
I will definitely share your comments with the staff. Thank you once again.
Queens Court Living started on Day 1. Jean was dressed, and went for lunch in the dining room. She quickly met many friends and neighbours there, and enjoyed great homemade meals. Each day brought new sights and sounds: visiting local choirs, an exercise class, a good movie on TV.
Being at Queens Court is a Celebration of Life Every Day. Smiles from Staff were not only for residents, also for visitors like me. Tea was offered, so I could 'linger longer' with my friend.
If you are considering assisted living, visit and experience Queens Court yourself: A military operation, joyfully delivering 5-star care.
Jean had become grumpy in her home; She left this earth filled with joy.
You were a very good friend to J. She knew that you did your best and she knew when you had to get more help for her. She was lucky that you understood her and subsequently made sure that we did. We are so pleased that you recognise the effort every department makes to ensure that she...
Abbi is always so welcoming. I feel everyone knows us & cares
The paramedics who had to attend one day were very impressed vs what else they've seen. Would definitely recommend!
Yes I understand what you are saying but you know it is just how we are - we give the best to the best. I will definitely share your comments with the team.
Shaaron is an excellent manager and Radha a brilliant assistant manageress. Their team is well-trained and (in my experience) always kind and supportive to Phil.
Phil's experience at Queens Court has been very positive and we are grateful to all the staff for the care and support they have given.
It is our pleasure to support PE who has been here since 2022. Thank you for trusting us to care for PE as it was not easy leaving one care home to come to another. That said you have all been amazing friends to PE who is a very nice man. We are so pleased that you recognise the effort every...
Mum (102) moved in a few days before Christmas after a fall at home which resulted in a month in hospital with a double fractured pelvis. Obviously Mum was confused and aprehensive, all the staff at Queens Court Care Home have been attentive to her needs & confition, which made the settling-in process as smooth as possible. All the staff treat all the residents very attentively and with great care, all are very friendly and highly conpetant. Plenty of staff all ways on duty.
Your mother is a lot better now and it is a pleasure to see her progress. She is appears contented and happy which as you said is completely different to how she was when she moved to Queens Court. She gets on very well with the staff and we enjoy seeing you all when you visit. I will share your comments with the team.
The staff have been so supportive helping her settle in. They are so kind and understanding to her needs.
The social calendar is amazing, there is always an activity for my Mother to join in or a musical event for her to watch.
The way her day is structured has had such a positive impact on her, the combination is exactly what helps her feel happier, calmer, and more connected.
I was especially impressed with Christmas at Queens Court, the effort at making the day extra special for all the residents was amazing to watch.
Truly an amazing care home.
Thank you for your kind comments. It is an absolute pleasure to have your mother with us, she is so cheerful and responsive to the activities. She really enjoys attending the concerts and the community singing groups and she encourages the other residents to participate. I will share your review with the team.
I have been visiting my relative since 2017, and the care has been consistently excellent. This time I sat with her as she ate her lunch, and the careful way in which the staff managed the residents' needs was exemplary and extremely sensitive. Decor is bright and provides a pleasant space for staff to work in.
Thank you for your 'Rolls Royce' review. You are right; your relative has been here since 2017 and we have got know each other in that time. Your observation about consistency and sensitivity is very important to us as we endeavour to provide the best care possible to our residents. As...
This was my second visit to see our friend. Once again I was impressed with the home's friendliness, kindness and effective supervision of residents. We were welcomed and offered tea. Thank you.
It was just your second visit and you saw how we work at Queens Court. We really appreciate your positive feed back. I will share it with the team and we look forward to seeing you here again soon.
My grandma has dementia and could not be better looked-after. Whenever I visit the staff are uniformly friendly and welcoming. All my grandma's needs both physical and emotional are expertly attended to, and as a result she's very comfortable here.
Thank you for your kind words. It is our pleasure when the care and support we provide for your loved one is recognised. It is lovely to see that she enjoys many things that we offer at Queens Court.
The staff at Queens Court are absolutely outstanding. They consistently show such care and kindness to my mum, and handle her difficult behaviour with patience and good humour. Her room and all the communal areas are very clean and well maintained, and the food is lovely. Staff are welcoming to visitors at any time, whether you are just popping in or staying longer for tea.
The reception staff both on weekdays and weekends are lovely, they always know how my mum is and what she has been up to.
We have needed advice and support regarding finances, and the finance manager has been supportive and helpful throughout.
We are so happy that my mum is a resident here.
Dear RachelThank you for your very thoughtful review. You have mentioned everyone who have come together to care for your mother. This is exactly what we are about - The Whole Home Approach. I am so pleased that you have seen it in action and I will share your compliments with the team. Thank you.
Unfortunately she was moved due to financial disputes between my siblings one of which has LPA and it was him who decided to move our 95 year old mother. I have visited our mother 3 times in the new care home. I cannot even put into words how different everything is. Our mother was treated with utmost caring, love and attention in Queens Court. We loved visiting her there. Everyone was welcoming, happy and professional. Our mother was always clean, well dressed and most importantly cared for with compassion and kindness. She was not put in bed most of the time. It breaks my heart every time I see her there and how sad she looks. I have lots of videos to prove the difference. She is not eating as before. I want to thank the management of Queens Court for their consistent loving care and professional manner. I pray our mother returns to Queens Court so she can smile again.
Hello AffieYour review is so amazing - Thank you. I will definitely share this with our team. You know that we were sad to see your mother leave, but we understood why. We look forward to hearing from you and as you know; you all are always welcome here.

Meet the Team (14)

I joined Barchester Healthcare in 1998. Before that, I worked in the NHS, where I developed my passion - Caring for Older People. After I qualified as an RGN, I continued to develop my career by studying a BSc in Nursing Studies, a Diploma in Orthopaedics and an MSc in Health Sciences.
The team and I are committed to ensuring that the residents have a good quality of life. This involves working with evidence-based practices or projects like nutrition, non-pharmaceutical interventions, and life story work, and we advocate the Whole Home Approach Model. We are proud to have consistently achieved good reports and reviews from those who know us. This is a very happy home, and you are very welcome to visit us.

Thanks to Barchester Healthcare, Shaaron Caratella (General Manager) and Queens Court Team for all their support during my career progression.
