This lunch was the brainchild of one of our residents. At the last Residents' meeting, it was suggested that we offer a Fish and Chip lunch to their friends and family for March. This idea has been very successful as the meal was always enjoyed but it also encouraged more visits around mealtimes. Visits are meant to be a social activity and improve one's Quality of Life. Thank you for your compliments - do visit us again soon.

My role as the Dementia Care Champion is pivotal within a Memory Lane Community. Dementia Care Champions receive additional training for the Dementia Care Team and act as coaches within our home. As the Dementia Care Champion for Queens Court. I also work closely with a Dementia Care Specialist to ensure that good Dementia care is being maintained and that any potential 'issues' have a quick resolution.

The therapy involves welcoming them, hand massage, head massage, relaxation exercise, breathing exercise, nail care, hydration, sense of touch, sense of flavour, reminiscence, and relaxing in the therapy room with diffusor on with the relaxing essential oils.
