Queens Court is based in the heart of Wimbledon SW19. This unique city boutique care home is located in a residential street just minutes away from the train, tube and tram service. Easily located beside the newly rebranded Wimbledon Quarter, Queens Court offers person centred care to those who require respite, convalescence, dementia and nursing care.

Staff are well trained in Dementia Care, up to date clinical courses and the Gold Standards Framework for End of Life Care. The home always has qualified nurses on duty as well as senior care staff. There is a ‘getting to know you’ booklet and the team know residents very well. They provide exceptional personalised care and offer a range of activities to meet everyone’s likes. A retained GP visits every week or when required.

The team ensures that the residents feel comfortable, maintaining their independence and ensuring they feel as active as possible. The Activity Co-coordinator organises amazing and interesting events and outings in the minibus. These activities are part of the package of care.

The Head Chef and his team ensures that seasonal menu in the Courtyard Restaurant and room service is of the highest standard and quality. The produce is fresh and they are trained to provide the required textures if required.

The spacious, contemporary interiors all have Wi-Fi access and are conducive to relaxation and create a feeling of relaxation and homeliness. Some bedrooms have their own patio space, all have flat screen televisions provided and can accommodate personal furniture and pictures.

Queens Court also features extra services such as physiotherapy and a visiting beautician.

My mother has settled in extremely well at Queens Court and seems perfectly happy here. She is well looked after, well-fed and enjoys the atmosphere and activities. Whenever I visit, I find her sitting in the communal area and she obviously benefits from contact with the other residents. The staff are
always very friendly and helpful.

I always think that it is not just one person who is the carer for the day looking after you but to the members of staff also. There is a routine and those foremost that keep my room clean and tidy. Importantly too, there are activities to join. So together with food nicely cooked and presented must
make for a care home to be recommended.

Whenever I visit my Godmother, I get a warm welcome from the staff and tea or coffee and biscuits and cake arrive promptly. Now that my Godmother is unable to see clearly all the staff take this into account and are helpful. Occasionally the hot is not hot which is a shame and the food is very good.

I visit once every few weeks to share time with my good friend. Usually, I attend the music therapy day and join him for lunch. I always receive a warm welcome. The staff are friendly and now recognise me.
I also talk to them about my friend and they come across as friends and are attentive to his
needs and difficulties.
In the summer it is nice to sit together in the garden. I always look forward to my visits and enjoy them.

My mother has been at Queens Court for almost 18 months, and in that time her health has improved considerably, which must be largely attributable to the excellent care on offer. Almost without exception, the staff are friendly, patient and caring, and seem genuinely to enjoy their work. As a result,
residents, for the most part, seem happy too. There's plenty going on during the day, and excellent food. My only criticism would be that some rooms are quite small, but there's not a lot the management can do about that.

As relatives of a former resident, who sadly passed away in February 2017, we were invited back to a memorial service in his memory, along with other residents' family members. It was very carefully planned with the main focus on happy memories. The home manager, priest, music therapist and volunteers
all took part. We were impressed with the new refurbishments which had occurred in the past few months.

The reception was welcoming and efficient in helping me settle into the room. Timetable and layout were fully explained. Faulty television was quickly replaced. The room is satisfactory but the en-suite is small for accommodating rollator.

My husband benefitted greatly from Queens Court, after having had 12 weeks in hospital. He improved greatly after 2 days, walked unaided within the zimmer frame. The happy atmosphere created by the carers made such a difference and every helper showed care and empathy for each patient.
For every resident
to go down to the dining room for lunch and supper makes them feel part of the group and gives a feeling of belonging.
Also, the various activities were uplifting, especially the music and art therapies.

I missed my wife very much, but I was made to feel comfortable and not too lonely, and cared for. I understand that occasionally I have to be away from her to give her a rest.
I really enjoyed the food. I spent most of my time sitting in the sun and enjoying the pretty garden. I do not think I took
part in any activities, as I am not able to remember. My room was near the entrance so I was happy to be there and I did not feel isolated.

I have found the care in Barchester Queens Court Care Home extremely good. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful. Residents are sometimes uncooperative but are still treated with patience and understanding. The food is really very good and is presented in an appetising way. Tea or coffee is

I've been coming in to visit my parent's friends for almost a year now. The home is always friendly and bright and they're really happy there. They go out on trips and even have birthday teas. They are very well looked after.

My husband was transferred to Queens Court on 31st October 2016 having been in a home in Beckenham. I had heard of The Barchester Healthcare Group from my sister who's husband had been in a different branch. I am an ex-ward sister and I can not fault this home. The general manager has her finger on
the pulse, with extremely high standards of care which passes down throughout the home. My Husband appears to have settled in well and I would certainly recommend this home.

My dear friend became one of your residents in 2013 after ill health and dementia. I had been her hairdresser for many years. After my salon closed, I went to my friends home to carry on caring for her hair and nails. Barchester Queens Court Care Home kindly agreed I could continue and myself and my
friends family wanted this as most of my friends family live overseas. Although my friend's dementia is getting worse, she is so well looked after and the staff care for her and all the residents as well, by always doing a lot of different activities and encouraged everyone who wants to join in. I visit many homes as all of my clients are elderly and Barchester Queens Court Care Home is by far the best.

I joined Barchester Healthcare in 1998. Before that, I worked in the NHS where I developed my passion - Caring for Older People. After I qualified as an RGN, I continued to develop my career by studying BSc in Nursing Studies, a Diploma in Orthopaedics and an MSc in Health Sciences.


The team and I are committed to ensuring that the residents have a good quality of life. This is working with evidence-based practices or projects like nutrition, non-pharmaceutical interventions, and life story work and we advocate the Whole Home Approach Model. We are proud to have consistently achieved good reports and reviews from those who know us. This is a very happy home and you are very welcome to visit us.
