Queens Court is based in the heart of Wimbledon SW19. This unique city boutique care home is located in a residential street just minutes away from the train, tube and tram service. Easily located beside the newly rebranded Wimbledon Quarter, Queens Court offers person centred care to those who require respite, convalescence, dementia and nursing care.

Staff are well trained in Dementia Care, up to date clinical courses and the Gold Standards Framework for End of Life Care. The home always has qualified nurses on duty as well as senior care staff. There is a ‘getting to know you’ booklet and the team know residents very well. They provide exceptional personalised care and offer a range of activities to meet everyone’s likes. A retained GP visits every week or when required.

The team ensures that the residents feel comfortable, maintaining their independence and ensuring they feel as active as possible. The Activity Co-coordinator organises amazing and interesting events and outings in the minibus. These activities are part of the package of care.

The Head Chef and his team ensures that seasonal menu in the Courtyard Restaurant and room service is of the highest standard and quality. The produce is fresh and they are trained to provide the required textures if required.

The spacious, contemporary interiors all have Wi-Fi access and are conducive to relaxation and create a feeling of relaxation and homeliness. Some bedrooms have their own patio space, all have flat screen televisions provided and can accommodate personal furniture and pictures.

Queens Court also features extra services such as physiotherapy and a visiting beautician.

My dad came to Queen's Court in April after about 3 months in a residential care home, it was clear he needed nursing care, which Queen's Court provides. I am writing this in late August. It has taken my father a long time to settle in, but the care is good. He has a self-contained room. As I write
this, he is doubly-incontinent, and cannot walk without falling over. He has been very enthusiastic about the food from the start - which is elegantly served twice a day in the restaurant.


It has taken my father a long time to be able to join in group activities, but he seems increasingly able to do so with encouragement. The staff are kind and thoughtful, even on his not-so-well-behaved days. There is a regular programme of activities, and my father is encouraged to join in. Falls continue to occur, if he attempts to walk.
He was successfully assessed for continuing care. I visit my father twice a week.

My husband enjoyed his 2 weeks respite stay at Barchester Queens Court Care Home and was well looked after. I found the standard of care was high and the facilities were excellent. The staff were kind and patient when they took time to get to know my husband's ways. Of course, there are always a few
things that don't quite work as well as at home, but from the first visit, everything went smoothly. The dining arrangements were extremely good and my husband enjoyed his meals very much. He also liked being out in the garden, which is small but nicely planted.

Queen's Court is comfortable, well run and well staffed. The manager and all staff are friendly and helpful. Care seems to be very good. My wife who has been there for over 12 months says she is very pleased with the care she receives and she likes her room. The activities for residents seem to be many,
well run and appropriate. Frankly I am very happy for my wife at Queen's Court.

My cousin was a resident from March 2010 until she died in April 2015. During that time I visited her at least once a week. Since then I have continued to visit and talk to the residents, play or do anything else I can to assist the staff. The staff are very caring and every one is treated with respect
and dignity. Nothing is too much trouble for them I would not have any hesitation in recommending Queens Court to anyone.

My mother has lived at Barchester Queens Court since May 2011. Having suffered a severe stroke she has in fact improved in health since then, largely thanks to the excellent care provided her. Barchester Queens Court is very well run. The staff are always smart and helpful. Many activities are arranged
for the residents. All efforts are made to entertain and stimulate them. The home is clean and bright. The meals are beautifully prepared and served.

Warmly welcomed for my regular monthly visit, I arrived to find Mum being helped with her lunch, as expected. I waited for her in the garden, to which she was brought out when she had finished eating. The food was, as ever, of a very high standard. The garden was ideal for enjoying on a sunny, summer's
day: raised beds at eye level, evidently well cared for, and surrounding trees that Mum commented favourably on, several times during the couple of hours that we sat there. A lot of care has clearly been put into the design and maintenance of the garden. Staff were attentive to us both, without being intrusive, throughout my stay (7 hours in all). Mum is steadily becoming more frail and the team have helpfully adapted her routine, to include earlier meals and a regular rest after lunch, which Mum clearly benefits from. During her rest, I was able to have a relaxed, open, informative and helpful discussion about Mum's current and future health and welfare with the manager.

My mother spent a month at the above care home. It was an emergency. Manager came to view my mother at the time living on her own (with a care plan through an agency), my mother was confused incontinent or able to take care of herself and a danger (throwing water over the toaster where the toast caught
fire). Nothing but kindness and care throughout her stay at Queens Court wonderful. Mum at 95 this month health improved, gained weight, coherent in speech. Absolutely faultless.

The team and I are committed to ensuring that the residents have a good quality of life. This is working with evidence-based practices or projects like nutrition, non-pharmaceutical interventions, and life story work and we advocate the Whole Home Approach Model.
