Queens Court is based in the heart of Wimbledon SW19. This unique city boutique care home is located in a residential street just minutes away from the train, tube and tram service. Easily located beside the newly rebranded Wimbledon Quarter, Queens Court offers person centred care to those who require respite, convalescence, dementia and nursing care.

Staff are well trained in Dementia Care, up to date clinical courses and the Gold Standards Framework for End of Life Care. The home always has qualified nurses on duty as well as senior care staff. There is a ‘getting to know you’ booklet and the team know residents very well. They provide exceptional personalised care and offer a range of activities to meet everyone’s likes. A retained GP visits every week or when required.

The team ensures that the residents feel comfortable, maintaining their independence and ensuring they feel as active as possible. The Activity Co-coordinator organises amazing and interesting events and outings in the minibus. These activities are part of the package of care.

The Head Chef and his team ensures that seasonal menu in the Courtyard Restaurant and room service is of the highest standard and quality. The produce is fresh and they are trained to provide the required textures if required.

The spacious, contemporary interiors all have Wi-Fi access and are conducive to relaxation and create a feeling of relaxation and homeliness. Some bedrooms have their own patio space, all have flat screen televisions provided and can accommodate personal furniture and pictures.

Queens Court also features extra services such as physiotherapy and a visiting beautician.

Queens Court Care Home has looked after my mother wonderfully for the last 5 years. All the staff genuinely care about the residents and go out of their way to give her the best care possible. Much is down to the care home manager who is an outstanding leader. Like any organisation with an effective
manager, the care home thrives and operates like a well-oiled machine. The care home is beautifully decorated, the food is good, location excellent and the garden, although small, offers an area of respite for all the residents.

My sister suffers from dementia and has lived in Queens Court since December 2018. I am very touched and impressed with the warm, friendly care she has received. Initially, she found it difficult to settle and was treated with respect and patience and was helped to participate in activities. She adjusted
to her situation and was happy. Special events like her birthday, staff celebrated with her family, Christmas - quartet music which she loves. So much I could say. She is now very ill - the nursing care is excellent.

The decision to put my aunt in a home about 20 months ago was a very difficult one but Queen’s Court has been a godsend. During that time, my mum was hospitalised and unable to visit, organise my aunt's finances etc. The manager was so empathetic and concerned about my mum and not increasing our stress,
everything could wait until she was well. Staff are genuinely interested in my aunt’s wellbeing (from medications and care to tracking down her signature beret). They recognise too, the impact on the wider family. During Covid, we’ve had regular updates, Skype calls and the staff call with personal updates as needed. My aunt recently took a turn for the worse and the staff have been great at keeping us informed, organising additional Skype calls and a fully PPE’d visit for my mum. Where she’s needed new slippers or jumpers, one of the nurses has organised and shopped for them personally. We really can’t thank Queen’s Court enough for their kind, gentle, respectful and expert care.

My mum entered Queens Court a month or so prior to the Covid-19 lockdown following a stroke in January this year. From the first visit I made, I have been impressed by the level of engagement and genuine interest in my mother's wellbeing. Following her stroke and associated loss of sight, my sister
and I have taken great comfort in the care, attention and quality of the care she has received.

My 3-week stay was very comfortable and fulfilled exactly, as a post-hospital care home, my need for a place to recover strength before going home. All the staff were very helpful and the caregivers always kind to residents, no matter the time of day or night. Unfortunately due to Covid-19, some things
could not be offered but would I come back again? Yes, certainly. As to value for money, I expect it is, I just have nothing to compare it as I write.

On Sunday last I went to visit a very special lady at the Queens Court Nursing Home. I was greeted immediately at the front door with simple pleasantries. After a slight confusion (my friend is registered using her married name, not the name I knew her by) with regard to my friend's surname, I was led
to the side entrance.
I signed a form and was instructed to wash my hands. I was impressed by the due diligence. I was then taken to the serene and well-kept garden. It appeared very welcoming, with others socially distanced, yet enjoying the company of apparent loved ones. My friend arrived shortly after I was seated. Her smiles immediately told me she was in good hands. Tea and cake arrived shortly into my visit. Conversation flowed with ease despite her faltering memory. The visit ended far too abruptly (30 minutes). Without a doubt, I will gladly recommend this very professional operation. Looking forward to returning.

The care provided during my Mum's stay at Queens Court has been exceptional. The staff is patient, professional, and kind. The home is clean, bright, and spacious. It never feels miserable when I go there. It is in a great location for visitors and always welcoming. My Mum told me she was very happy
due to all the activities and day trips. The meals are varied and of high quality. During the lockdown, I never worried that she wasn't being properly cared for. I would definitely recommend this home.

I cannot recommend Queens Court highly enough. It is both professional and friendly with an overriding feeling of safety. The rooms are airy and fastidiously clean. The meals are of a very high standard and the residents are looked after extremely well. But the one thing that really stands out for me
is the kindness of the staff. Nothing is too much trouble for the residents and the visitors and I have enjoyed many delicious treats including a birthday cake. Thank you so much for looking after my aunt so well.

My mother lived at Queens Court from June 2019 - March 2020, where she died aged 88. She suffered from dementia and was effectively paralysed from the waist down. She was not always the easiest of people to deal with because of her losses of mental lucidity. Despite all this, the staff at Queens Court
could not have been more caring, understanding and patient with her, to which she did respond I was pleased to hear on many occasions. The atmosphere at Queens Court was always welcoming and friendly, her room spotless and airy, and the staff full of smiles and cheery conversation, as well as being factual and helpful if asked pertinent questions on my mother's condition. Guests were always given refreshment and nothing seemed too much trouble. I saw other care homes, and there was no question that Queens Court was head and shoulders way above many others. The manager and her whole team do an outstanding job and should be hugely congratulated in these very difficult times. Highly recommended.

My aunt has been a resident for the last 3 and a half months. We have all been very happy with the level of care she has received. The staff have been very gentle and caring towards her. As a fluent Italian speaker, she has particularly enjoyed speaking to one person, who has made her feel very happy!
She is leaving to go home otherwise she would have remained at Queens Court. Thank you for your care and attention to detail.

The staff were all very friendly, kind and patient. On the whole, I received excellent care and would recommend. Three staff in particular, but all the staff were good. I joined Barchester Healthcare in 1998. Before that, I worked in the NHS where I developed my passion - Caring for Older People. After I qualified as an RGN, I continued to develop my career by studying BSc in Nursing Studies, a Diploma in Orthopaedics and an MSc in Health Sciences.


The team and I are committed to ensuring that the residents have a good quality of life. This is working with evidence-based practices or projects like nutrition, non-pharmaceutical interventions, and life story work and we advocate the Whole Home Approach Model. I love being a part of the Activities Team so that I can make some contribution to making resident's life and daily living better by giving them Namaste Therapy because of my interest in making residents happy.


My role is to give the therapy to the residents. The therapy involves welcoming them, hand massage, head massage, relaxation exercise, breathing exercise, nail care, hydration, sense of touch, sense of flavour, reminiscence, and relaxing in the therapy room with diffusor on with the relaxing essential oils.
