My husband is very happy in the home. The staff are so kind and helpful. My husband is looked after so well, it means a lot to me as his wife.
Thank you for your kind words. We are delighted to hear that your husband is happy in our care.
There has been a big improvement to the management and staff levels recently. I really hope Bupa work to keep their good staff.

This place is exceptional. From my first visit, I felt welcomed and felt my dad's needs were always put first. They couldn't wait to receive my dad into their care. They looked after him so well, treated him with dignity and, although he could be difficult at times, they were so gentle and attentive. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Thank you for your kind words. We hope our care home did everything to make the transition as easy as possible. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one was cared for and looked after.
The service I have received during my stay has been very good. All the staff have been very kind and helpful. I would like to say thank you all and well done.

My aunt was in The Sidcup for 5 1/2 years. The staff always looked after her well. They always did all they could for her comfort and well being even though she was not the easiest or happiest person. When her husband of 67 years died, everyone at the home went out of their way to comfort her and involve her in activities to help her to cope. There was always a welcoming attitude to visitors whenever they came.
Thank you for your kind words, Caroline. We are pleased to hear you could feel at ease with your aunt in our care. We are glad we could help you and your family through such a difficult time as well.
I am pleased to say that he has lived there very happily for the last 15 months. From day one, the staff were welcoming, caring and totally professional. He settled immediately and blossomed with the delicious and nutritious meals, fun activities and outings and the loving and devoted care of all staff.
Whenever we visited we also received a warm welcome and on several occasions, we enjoyed lunch with him. Nothing was too much trouble. Suffering from a health condition, he was always treated with respect and dignity and we are so grateful for all the loving care he has had. Thank you all.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy about your grandfather being able to come out of his shell and take part in our activities. We have a genuine regard for all of our residents and we are humbled you chose to trust us with your loved ones care.
My mother-in-law was admitted to this care home end of November we found her room very dirty and the staff left dirty pads in the bathroom. When she went into the hospital with MRSA, we decided to look around for a new care home. She is now so much happier and well cared for I would not recommend this home.

This home provided excellent end of life care to my mother in law, they ensured her comfort and that her dignity was promoted during this difficult time for the family.
The nursing team who looked after my mother were very caring and looked after her so well. Despite Mum being unconscious when she arrived and passed away, they would always salute her and talk to her. The nurses reassured and looked after us, the family. We are so pleased to have chosen The Sidcup Care Home.

I have been a resident for nearly 2 years and I have enjoyed my stay here. I have visited other homes and they are not as nice as The Sidcup. I especially like some of the staff who help me.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear about your positive experience in the two years you have stayed at the home. We appreciate your comments of our home and will share your comments with the home’s manager. The Bupa Customer Care Team
It's with a heavy heart that I leave this review as there are some genuinely friendly, kind and smiley carers and receptionists in this home but unfortunately the overall experience was one of extreme stress for my sister and I (when we should have been looking after our dad recovering from an operation) having our mother stay in respite at this care home for 4 weeks. A chain of broken promises - she wasn't showered/washed for 4 days on one occasion despite us asking repetitively and being promised she would be. We found a rash on her face that apparently staff didn't notice, and then still didn't call the doctor despite staff writing it in the book. After complaining to the manager, she discovered that my mother had no care plan in place at all, apologised and immediately put a plan into action. The last and final disappointment was when she'd had a fall and we found her with diarrhoea and again "no one had noticed".

Since my mother has been admitted to The Sidcup I have been very pleased with the care she is receiving. My mother is very introvert and doesn't like mixing with other people but the staff at The Sidcup have made her feel very welcome and put her at ease totally with unfamiliar surroundings. I feel totally at ease with my mother being in here.
Thank you for your review of The Sidcup Care Home. We are pleased to hear that you and your mum have had a positive experience at the home and appreciate your comments regarding the staff welcoming and putting your mum at ease. We will share your comments with the home's manager. The Bupa Customer Care Team
My mother has been resident in The Sidcup Care Home since December 2017 due to her physical ability to look after herself. Overall we and she have been very happy with the care she is receiving. As with any such home, some days the care is better than others and it is obvious that there is a shortage of care staff on some days. We have no reason to believe that mum suffers from any slowness to deal with her needs, but it would be nice if staffing levels were consistent to ensure a high, constant level of care.
Thank you for your review of The Sidcup Care Home. We are pleased to hear that you and your mother have overall had a positive experience at the home and appreciate your comments regarding the staffing situation. We will discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help them continually improve their service. The Bupa Customer Care Team
We are so grateful to all the staff, especially those on the first floor, who cared for our mum with Tenderness and Concern for her well being. They would kiss her, sing with her and had her laughing. They did their utmost on all levels. When mum passed they stayed with me to help me through a terrible and stressful time. I could write a book full of praise on all the staff from the Office through to carers. The food was lovely and they bent over backwards to try and get mum to eat and drink. The facility is very clean and well kept up even the maintenance man who put mum's pictures up on the wall exactly where mum wanted to have them placed.
Thank you to everyone forever.
Thank you for your review of The Sidcup Care Home, we are pleased to hear that you have had a positive experience of our care home and glad you were well supported through this time. We appreciate your comments on the staff and we will share these with the care home's manager. The Bupa Customer Care Team.
