The Sidcup offers nursing and residential care, both long-term and short stay care.

The home is a purpose-built with modern comforts and conveniences. It prides itself on its warm and homely environment where residents can relax and feel safe inside the home and in the gardens. All bedrooms have en suite facilities and are furnished to a high standard.

The home consists of two floors, with dining rooms and lounges on each floor. The home also benefits from its own cinema lounge, large well- maintained gardens, its own hairdressing salon, and private lounge, ideal for family events and celebrations. The home has visiting professionals such as physiotherapists and chiropodists.

As an enhanced service to residents, weekly GP visits are conducted at The Sidcup Care Home, enabling residents to receive regular, personalised medical reviews as part of their approach to person-centred care.

At mealtimes a wide range of nutritious dishes are offered, always made with fresh ingredients. Residents’ dietary needs and personal preferences are always taken into account by the chef. The chef will visit residents to make tailored menus if necessary. There are regular tea rounds throughout the day with fresh cakes after lunch.

As well as regular, organised activities such as quizzes, bingo, film afternoons, board games and arts and crafts sessions, trips out to local places of interest, visiting entertainers and pantomimes, as well as tai chi and holistic massage and aromatherapy.

From the day my husband was admitted, he has been treated with the utmost dignity and respect and I have seen the most magical improvement in him in just a couple of weeks. All the nursing staff are so caring with both my husband and myself.

Father enjoyed his stay over Christmas having stayed before for his 101st birthday. Entertainment and care was first class and he hopes to stay for his 102nd birthday.

The home overall is excellent. My mother-in-law has settled well. Having the hairdressers on site is excellent as my mother-in-law always loved to have her hair done every week. The staff in the hairdressers always make you feel very welcome. All the staff in the home are brilliant.

We were so blessed to have found this setting. The staff were amazing and we know that our Mum was given the best care possible. Treated with respect, dignity and love, she was comfortable and at peace. We are sad her journey was not longer, due to her terminal illness, but are so grateful for the service
provided, not only to her but to us as a family. We were kept informed and supported at all times. A beautiful, clean environment, with beautiful, kind, caring staff. Thank you so much.

I went on my first impression. The receptionist was understanding, professional and helpful. The care team were and are amazing. The care, help and support are 100%. I would definitely urge anyone who is not sure to go and speak to the Sidcup team. I know I have made the right choice.

Many of staff very attentive to mum but she needs checking on more often. Have found mum with pyjamas on under her clothes, no hearing aids in. Jugs to heavy for her to pour her own juice. Very few staff to be found at weekends. My sister and I feel we need to come into check on her every day.

My respite stay at The Sidcup Care Home was a memorable experience. The staff were kind and friendly. The surroundings are pleasant.

This place is exceptional. From my first visit, I felt welcomed and felt my dad's needs were always put first. They couldn't wait to receive my dad into their care. They looked after him so well, treated him with dignity and, although he could be difficult at times, they were so gentle and attentive.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

My aunt was in The Sidcup for 5 1/2 years. The staff always looked after her well. They always did all they could for her comfort and well being even though she was not the easiest or happiest person. When her husband of 67 years died, everyone at the home went out of their way to comfort her and involve
her in activities to help her to cope. There was always a welcoming attitude to visitors whenever they came.

When my grandfather became unable to care for himself, we, as a family, took the difficult decision to find a suitable care establishment for him. As soon as we visited The Sidcup Care Home we knew this would be his 'home from home', we were shown around by a lovely young lady who said she was the
deputy home manager, she answered all of our questions and made us feel really at ease.
I am pleased to say that he has lived there very happily for the last 15 months. From day one, the staff were welcoming, caring and totally professional. He settled immediately and blossomed with the delicious and nutritious meals, fun activities and outings and the loving and devoted care of all staff.
Whenever we visited we also received a warm welcome and on several occasions, we enjoyed lunch with him. Nothing was too much trouble. Suffering from a health condition, he was always treated with respect and dignity and we are so grateful for all the loving care he has had. Thank you all.
